Christmas Valley Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 4 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 10+)

Stargaze from the giant redwood deck or unwind in the luxury hot tub.

Hike, snowshoe or cross country ski directly from the cabin to a spectacular meadow with stunning mountain views.

So secluded and quiet, yet only 10 minutes from town, 15 minutes to Sierra at Tahoe, 20 minutes to Heavenly and 25 minutes to Kirkwood. Perfect for a family or group getaway. This mountain retreat features a gourmet's kitchen and furnishings designed for social gatherings.

In the summer, grab your fishing pole and swim trunks and walk on down to the boulder-lined fishing hole right on the Upper Truckee River.

Take a short hike along the river and discover beaver dams and a breathtaking meadow with mountain views. Bike to Mr. Toads or Hope Valley straight from the driveway of this wonderful retreat.

Four spacious bedrooms to accommodate any guest configuration:

1) Tahoe Timber Room downstairs has one King Log Bed.

2) Snowflake Room downstairs has one Queen Bed.

3) Kids Adventure Room upstairs has two Double Beds, a foosball table, kids games and comfy reading and cuddling furniture.

4) Riverview Balcony Room upstairs has one King Bed, electric fireplace, convertible sofa.

Large deck at front of cabin (26' x 20') is enclosed with gate access to outdoors to keep pets and little ones contained.

Property is relatively flat with only one step up from the driveway to front entry. This provides easy access for those with limited mobility - both downstairs bedrooms and all amenities can be accessed from ground level.

Cabin is located near the end of a quiet dead end street that is relatively flat and ideal for walks and easy bike rides.

Excellent location and large comfortable house!

  • 5 of 5

This was our 2nd stay here (6 adults + 4 kids). As before, everything was clean. The river in the backyard again was the highlight. Hot tub worked great. Nice, quiet neighborhood. We will be back!

Great house and beautiful location

Linda's house was very clean & comfortable with all the amenities needed. We loved the setting on the river, the quiet neighborhood, and the large comfortable rooms. Everything was clean and well kept, and the hot tub was awesome! We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location, very nicely appointed and well maintained house

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Aspen Hollow. The location is just a few miles down from Hope Valley and a few miles above South Lake Tahoe, providing easy access to all of the meadows, peaks and lakes in the Hope Valley, Red Lake, Carson Pass and Caples Lake areas, as well as Sorensons and Kirkwood ski resort. We avoided the zoo at South Lake and spent our time in the mountains. The house was very well taken care of and very well equipped. We enjoyed the hot tub, the big screen TV with HDMI connection, the kitchen, everything was great. Check in/out via VRBO/Homeaway app was also very easy. Thanks!

Great place for family fun. Close to many attractions but still secluded and private.

  • 4 of 5

Aspen Hollow was really nice. The best part was that it was dog friendly so all our family could join us! We got there right after a good snowfall so it was postcard perfect. The caretakers had turned on the heat and porch light so everything was ready for our arrival. The hot tub was even hot!The driveway was easy to park in since it had been plowed. The upstairs master bedroom was beautiful and huge and the kids room perfect for the teenager niece and nephew. The downstairs bedrooms were cozy and comfy. We had plenty of space in the kitchen for our meal prep. The entertainment system downstairs allowed us to plug in our Wii connections and watch movies as a family. Regular access brought us two rousing football games on Sunday and Monday. The staircase to the upstairs is stunning and really makes the house unique but watch your step, the steps are slippery in stocking feet!

A great weekend getaway

  • 5 of 5

We had a small staff retreat at this property with about 10 people and had a wonderful time. The property is quiet and secluded with all the amenities we could have wanted. The kitchen is well-appointed, with pots, pans, dishes, etc. all in good condition. The entertainment system was great for unwinding and watching movies. We also really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub, staring up at the stars at night, through the towering pine trees. In the mornings we sat on the back deck with our coffee and listened to birds chirping. Some of us even thrilled at taking quick dips in the cool stream that butts up against the back of the property. The next time I'm looking for a property in this area, this would be my first choice.
