Beautiful small river in backyard, hot tub works great, love the mud room too! Warm and cozy Cabin!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Aspen Hollow. The location is just a few miles down from Hope Valley and a few miles above South Lake Tahoe, providing easy access to all of the meadows, peaks and lakes in the Hope Valley, Red Lake, Carson Pass and Caples Lake areas, as well as Sorensons and Kirkwood ski resort. We avoided the zoo at South Lake and spent our time in the mountains. The house was very well taken care of and very well equipped. We enjoyed the hot tub, the big screen TV with HDMI connection, the kitchen, everything was great. Check in/out via VRBO/Homeaway app was also very easy. Thanks!
Aspen Hollow was really nice. The best part was that it was dog friendly so all our family could join us! We got there right after a good snowfall so it was postcard perfect. The caretakers had turned on the heat and porch light so everything was ready for our arrival. The hot tub was even hot!The driveway was easy to park in since it had been plowed. The upstairs master bedroom was beautiful and huge and the kids room perfect for the teenager niece and nephew. The downstairs bedrooms were cozy and comfy. We had plenty of space in the kitchen for our meal prep. The entertainment system downstairs allowed us to plug in our Wii connections and watch movies as a family. Regular access brought us two rousing football games on Sunday and Monday. The staircase to the upstairs is stunning and really makes the house unique but watch your step, the steps are slippery in stocking feet!
We had a small staff retreat at this property with about 10 people and had a wonderful time. The property is quiet and secluded with all the amenities we could have wanted. The kitchen is well-appointed, with pots, pans, dishes, etc. all in good condition. The entertainment system was great for unwinding and watching movies. We also really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub, staring up at the stars at night, through the towering pine trees. In the mornings we sat on the back deck with our coffee and listened to birds chirping. Some of us even thrilled at taking quick dips in the cool stream that butts up against the back of the property. The next time I'm looking for a property in this area, this would be my first choice.
We had 10 people (6 adults - four kids) and really appreciated the spacious cabin. Nice big modern kitchen, large bedrooms. One of the highlights was access to the river right from the backyard, and spent many hours playing with the kids there! Nice secluded area. The owner was a pleasure to work with. We will be back again soon!
Stayed here with a group of friends for our annual New Years trip and loved it. Plenty of space for all of us and our several cars. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook for a large group. We had 3 dogs so the fact that this place is pet-friendly was a huge plus. Very comfortable and nothing went wrong during our stay. Owner was extremely courteous and helpful in arranging everything and mailed us back something we'd left behind. Highly recommend!
