Owner / Property Manager purchased this apartment in 1910
Capitol Hill is a charming neighborhood with a market and many cafe's within walking distance. Apartment was comfy and well kept. We used Uber to get around for our sightseeing and our trips were within $7-15 from the apartment. The owners were able to get us a parking pass with short notice, provided a great guide to the city, and gave us complete privacy. Two thumbs up! Thanks guys.
This was the perfect spot for the 2 of us to enjoy DC. We were able to access the our Capital City with ease using the Metro systems. It is just a short very pleasant walk to Eastern Market which is a destination in itself! I swam at the local aquatic Center 3 times and it was clean friendly and welcoming! You can get more information by going to William H Ramsey Aquatic Center. Our apartment was clean and had everything we needed to cook at home! Safeway is 4 blocks away and easy to access. We also enjoyed the Bike Share Station at the corner of the park, but be sure to carry the phone number for help with you in case you end up at a destination station with no place to park your bikes! We loved our stay and would recommend it.
Enjoyed our Stay here. We brought our 12 year old grandson to Washington DC for a lifetime trip. Everything was in walking distance or you could catch a Metro bus 200 feet away. It was our home away from home for 5 days. The waited for the little feet to run across the floor upstairs because it really reminded us of home. These feet were not heard very often. If we had problem they were but a text away and replied within 5 minutes. It was a joy and will return back and recommend to anyone going to DC.
Safe and great lication to stay comfortably with a family for saving money on cooking in rather than out and laundry as needed for packing less. Looking forward to a future stay!
I brought m three children to DC for their first time and stayed here for 5 nights. This location is a half block from Lincoln Park and is in a very residential, safe area of town. Perfect for a family and not too far from public transportatation (about a 12 minute walk to Eastern Market station.). We find walking to the Capitol to be more efficient because by the time you walk one way to the station, you may as well walk toward the national mall area. The apartment was well stocked with amenities like cooking utensils, oil, butter in the fridge and washing liquid for the clothes and dishes. All we had to buy was what we wanted to eat. Coffee was already there, as well! A negative was the noise level from upstairs. Since this is an old building not originally intended to have living quarters downstairs, I could follow people's movements on the ceiling of the apartment, hear chairs scooting on the floor and hear items dropped on the floor. Also, we used the fold out couch bed which I felt was actually a little dangerous since many of the spring clips holding the tarp under the "mattress" had ripped through the tarp. The alternative was blowing up three beds which was also not appealing. I think the couch bed just needs replacing and would make this apartment a five star rating. The bed in the their room was comfortable.
Overall, we were happy with the choice and the owners couldn't be sweeter.
