Why Amanda Cribbs chose Allandale

This home is so adorable and has so much charm, but still recently renovated. It's very close to UT and a short distance to downtown. You can walk many places and the neighborhood is very pleasant. The master bathroom soaker tub is the most relaxing room in the home, and the backyard is peaceful with the fish pond and covered patio.

The City of Austin requires that Vacation rentals obtain a license for legal operation. Legal operations will have their license number in their listing.

Home Away From Home

Our party of six had a wonderful stay at this well appointed home in an outstanding Austin location. Beautiful backyard, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen - we had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. Can’t say enough about our host Greg. We had weather issues delaying our departure and he was so kind to deal with. Terrific communication and willingness to do his part to help us out. We were very happy with our overall stay and would definitely recommend to travelers

Lovely home and great location!

  • 4 of 5

We booked this home for my husband, me, our two kids (ages 6 and 2), and my inlaws. We stayed for a week over Thanksgiving. This house provides ample room for everyone. The bedrooms are a great size and the beds are comfy! The back yard is great for kids. They had lots of room to run around and the loved feeding the fish. The location of the house is great! About 10-15 minutes from the University of Texas, 10-15 minutes to amazing shopping at Esperanza Crossing. Easy access to Mopac. Overall the house is great.

A few things to be aware of, it's a loud house. It's older and the floors are squeaky. Not a big deal, but if you have light sleepers it might be a problem. Other guests complained that the doors do not shut properly or stay shut, yes, this is true, but it's manageable. My only complaint is the kitchen supplies. We had to purchase a few utensils to cook dinner, which was fine, but it would be nice if there was a full set of good utensils there. And just a recommendation, providing a crockpot would be nice. :)

Overall the house was great and we would stay there again!

Nice home, lovely neighborhood

  • 4 of 5

Stayed as 6 friends on a getaway. Worked well for our needs. House is nicely renovated and the beds and pillows are great!

Very accommodating owners. Needs some maintainence (pond is looking rough, bedroom door doesn’t close).

Overall, lovely home in a nice neighborhood. We would stay again.

Beautiful home, comfortable beds, lovely bathrooms. Nice neighborhood and backyard (porch swing + fountain). Incredibly kind owners even took the time to find and ship back a lost teddy bear for my child. Would definitely stay there again!

Great Stay

  • 5 of 5

Great, clean house with plenty of room for us (6 people). The location was good - access to downtown on either Lamar (15 minutes) or MoPac (10-15 minutes). Nice and quiet neighborhood.
