About Amanda Cribbs

We've lived in Austin since 1996 and love the city! Amanda has been a licensed Realtor in Austin for 12 years, and we personally manage all of our rental properties - both furnished and unfurnished. We love meeting our guests from all over the world and creating a wonderful and memorable visit for them in Austin. And when we're vacationing, we always enjoy staying in vacation rentals and bed & breakfasts as well!

Why Amanda Cribbs chose Austin

This home is so adorable and has so much charm, but still recently renovated. It's very close to UT and a short distance to downtown. You can walk many places and the neighborhood is very pleasant. The master bathroom soaker tub is the most relaxing room in the home, and the backyard is peaceful with the fish pond and covered patio.

What makes this house unique

We have personally managed all of our rental properties for 10 years and take pride in each home we own. Our goal is to make sure every guest has a wonderful experience staying with us!

The City of Austin requires that Vacation rentals obtain a license for legal operation. Legal operations will have their license number in their listing.

Welcoming and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

House is really nice. We felt so comfortable!!! We had our (2)5 year olds with us and this house was perfect for all of us to enjoy. Fenced in backyard for the boys to play football and space for them to play inside too. Large Tv was great for the Sunday games and had kids programs recorded with hosts direct TV. The location is a nice peaceful neighborhood about 10-15 min drive from downtown Austin. My boys and I even walked to this awesome playground 1 1/2 miles away. This place is perfect for all age guests. Kitchen and house was well equipped. Hosts very responsive.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed at this perfect cottage in Austin for a dear friend's wedding New Year's weekend. The house was just charming. The rooms are spacious and very nicely decorated. The kitchen was great and well equipped. The neighborhood was quiet and very nice. Our kids enjoyed the backyard and fish pond. The managers we extremely responsive during booking, which was seamless. If you're in Austin and looking for a nice spot in a quiet area that's still near major attractions, this is your spot. We will definitely be back during future trips to Austin.

Charming Cottage Review

  • 5 of 5

We chose this rental for a 3 day trip to Austin. We had never been to Texas before and the charm that this property had really added to how much we fell in love with this city. It was a quiet neighborhood which allowed us to escape from the hustle and bustle yet close enough (less than 10 min) to downtown that we took advantage of everything music and food that Austin has to offer. Greg and Amanda were incredibly accommodating and I know we will use one of their rental properties the next time we visit Austin. I would highly recommend them to anyone visiting the area.

Great stay!!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here during our daughter's graduation from UT. The house was very convenient to get to campus and there were plenty of restaurants nearby. The decor was very nice and the beds were comfortable. The heater kept us nice and warm as the weather was very cold this weekend. We couldn't seem to get the cable to work on the TV in the master but other than that we had no problems. The price was very reasonable. I would stay here again.

Clean, simple, and cozy.

  • 4 of 5

The house is lovely with all the basics (sans hand soap! All the soap bottles were empty and we couldn't find the refills ;)

Overall, it was great for our little group. The house has a few defects (doors that will not stay closed without something behind them etc.), but that's all minor. If you're not picky - it's a win win. I planned ahead and brought most of my cooking items. If you're planning to cook, I'd suggest packing your own cooking utensils, spices, and favorite pan/knife (They have pans and knives, but I found I really wished I had brought my own. Oh! And the house is short on mixing bowls. I found one - which is great! - but I wish I had more than one so I didn't have to keep cleaning the same one.)

The neighborhood is lovely. We went on walks in the morning and admired all the mid-century goodness. Great location and cozy place.

Clean home in great location.

Garbage and recycling bins overflowing with trash. Took to road as instructed. Would have been nice for owner to contract that out. Would have extra toilet paper in bathrooms, left some there. Would use again on return to Austin.

Owner's Response: Thank you for booking our home! Our trash helper was away on a school trip and I apologize for the inconvenience. I do appreciate you rolling the bins to the end of the driveway. The cleaners always stock each bathroom with extra toilet paper, and we keep a full case in the kitchen as backup.
