We are an artist/professor and contractor/builder couple with a 19 year old son in college. We also have a dog, Zoey, a Weimaraner.
Sarah purchased this apartment in 2001
We love Jamaica Plain for its wonderful parks, the cultural diversity, and its accessibility to the rest of the city. We rent our home when we are away on vacation, on weekends.
Within walking distance is The Arnold Arboretum which has trees from all over the world and Franklin Park which houses Boston's child friendly zoo.
Thanks so much for letting us rent your home, we had a really good time. This has been a wonderful trip for all of us.
My husband and I and another couple rented this condo for a weekend stay in Boston. We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. The owners were very pleasant to deal with and were very helpful and accommodating. The condo was neat and clean and had everything we needed to make our stay very comfortable. There is parking available right outside the door and there is a T stop very close by, which made getting around the city a breeze! We would definitely consider renting this property again when traveling to the Boston area.
My family came up so that I could run the 2016 Boston Marathon and found that this was the perfect space to stay for that weekend. The condo has a really cool set-up with the loft space over the living room and the den downstairs. We had a group of 6 people and found that we were very well accommodated. We received great communication for the whole stay as well as plenty of good recommendations for good activities and helpful maps of the area. We loved that the subway stop was only two blocks away. We did not rent a car and had no trouble getting around town. Within walking are several good restaurants, cafes, some small groceries, as well as the original Sam Adams brewery. Downtown Boston is only a short subway ride away.
There are quite a few stairs in the condo at the entrance, but this was not an issue for us and we enjoyed the loft style. We also enjoyed the fun art and all of the light through the windows. I would highly recommend this condo and would happily return here if in the area again!
2nd trip. Wonderful people and place
The apartment is spacious, filled with light, very comfortable, and has everything you could want in the kitchen. The location is ideal- just one block from the T. The JP neighborhood in Boston is very cool. Lots of great restaurants and parks. I loved staying here. Our hosts were very helpful with leaving maps of Boston and flyers from many of Boston's highlights.
Sarah was extremely helpful in providing information about the local resources at the start of our stay. The condo is casually furnished with a large library and eclectic artwork. My favorite aspect of the space is the kitchen/den area. It is very sunny with huge windows to ventilate the whole space. Its a great family space. This condo is literally one block from the metro station and is only several blocks from ample goods and services in downtown, pedestrian friendly, Jamaica Plain. Getting to central Boston is just minutes away in a car or train so I also liked the accessibility. The condo does have a lot of stairs over four levels so if you don't like bending your knees this may not work for you. I would stay here again if visiting Boston and therefore I can comfortably recommend it to others.
We had a wonderful stay in this condo. The place is lovely - much larger than it looks in the photos. Sarah was very helpful, and we had everything we needed. The neighborhood is great - we love JP! Our daughter and her family live nearby, so we'll visit again and most certainly stay here again. Thank you for everything.

Boston is a city with a rich cultural history with lots of museums, galleries, restaurants and is also close to great nature-the beach, lakes, the mountains, etc.
