We have two Labrador Retrievers (who do not live on the property) and feel very fortunate to be living in San Francisco!
We travel to Asia a couple times a year and try to spend time with my family in Colorado and Arizona.
Tommy Payne purchased this apartment in 2002
Its a spectacular property on Telegraph Hill. Amazing views, well appointed and close to wherever you want to be in San Francisco. Prices 'may' be negotiable for 2-4 people depending on whether you are last minute or we have a small window of availability we need to fill.
Views, wonderful social living space and fantastic deck.
This apartment is beautiful; has magnificent views of the bay, Coit Tower and the city; and is in a wonderful location. The kitchen is very well equipped and there are plenty of towels and amenities like shampoos and body lotion. The configuration consists of 3 floors with the master bedroom and large second bedroom on the first floor; kitchen, living area and the third bedroom on the second floor; and private deck on the third floor. This lay out is helpful with regards to noise, since you can't hear much from one floor to the next.
The biggest surprise for all of us and a significant downside for my husband who has sciatica is that you need to climb 60 steps to get to the kitchen and living room on the second floor from the sidewalk outside. There are another 10 or more steps to reach the private deck.
If you, your family and guests can manage all these stairs, this apartment is a great place to stay while in San Francisco.
The view from the roof is awesome. Enjoyed the art work and the unit is well appointed. The guest before us broke a large window in the front room. Upon checking-in Sunday I was told the window would be patched by the house cleaners and the window would be addressed on Monday. That did not happen. When we chilled in the front room to watch Monday night football we chilled. Note: parking is not suited to a large car, SUV or Truck. Would I stay again? Yes. The view Trumps the window.
My husband and I rented Tommy's penthouse for a family vacation with our 4 adult kids and a two son-in-laws. The layout of the place was great, plenty of space and privacy for all and comfortable spaces for convening and enjoying the view - the rooftop deck and living room/kitchen area. The location is great - lots going on for those who like to get out in North Beach and beyond. We could walk just about everywhere we wanted to go and used Uber and Lyft when distance or time prohibited us from walking. The space is nicely decorated and has interesting art work. The kitchen is very well stocked (which I have found to be a problem in some rentals); no complaints at all - plenty of dishes and utensils as well as high end appliances. Tommy was easy to deal with, he was responsive and accommodated our early arrival from the east coast. I would highly recommend this spot!
I would agree with all other reviewers who had stayed at the penthouse!! This place is fantastic, everything was perfect and it was everything that I had hoped it would be. Especially the roof top deck, incredible view of the city, we were able to spend both days up there, enjoyed the weather and the view. Great location, we were able to walk just about everywhere we wanted to go. Thank you Tommy for letting us stayed at your wonderful place and it was definitely a most memorable weekend for all of us.
We wanted to experience the SF life outside of a hotel room. This property is located walking distance from many top restaurants, Washington Square, and Coit Tower. The location is excellent! The views from the main level and the deck made the experience over the top! We will be back!
What an amazing apartment - everything was exactly as the photos showed and described. Panoramic views of the area, the bay and the bridge. We enjoyed the rooftop deck (with the gas heaters to warm us), the bedrooms and beds were spacious and very comfortable. We just loved this apartment and would relish the opportunity to return during the summer. Thanks so much.
