This beautiful home is setting between Downtown, Old Colorado City and the Broadmoor area near nature trails and parks and bicycle and walking trails. The property overlooks the city to the east with a panoramic view of the mountains to the west. You'll be delighted with beautiful sunrise and sunset views. The location is easily accessible to all tourist attractions in the area. There is plenty of parking.

As a real estate investor and former deputy sheriff in the Los Angeles area, we fell in love with the Rocky Mountains and Colorado Springs. It is such a privilege to own a home in this area.
We love the Rocky Mountains and the Colorado Springs Region. We believe that this is one of the most outstanding areas to visit in the nation.
We've been traveling to Colorado Springs for 4 years to visit our son at the academy. Each time we stayed somewhere different. With this being the last time we have to rent a house, we landed a winner. This was the best place we stayed. Not far from the academy with plenty of places to visit nearby. It was unfortunate that we could not meet up with the owners. Our timing just didn't work out. Great neighborhood. Lots of amenities in the house.
The property was very clean and well maintained. The kitchen was pretty well stocked - we didn't have to shop for condiments which was very nice. They provided coffee and tea - although we purchased our own too since we are big coffee and tea drinkers. There was a closet with all sorts of games and we used them each evening.
Downside - the TV downstairs didn't work so everyone had to hang out upstairs to watch TV. I would have preferred at least Queen beds. My family and I are tall and some are bigger than others. Two of the four bedrooms had full size beds - we had to flip coins to see who would get the smaller beds.
We were there for a college graduation. We visited Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, the Broadmoor, and walked around downtown. We also ate in at least three local restaurants and had a night out on the town listening to a great band called Woodshed Red at Jack Quinn's downtown.
All in all it was a wonderful experience and I would rent the property again with no hesitation.
When we walked in to Casa de Lutze the first time, I was struck by the cleanliness of the entire home. Everything was meticulously taken care of and the furnishings were beautiful. The layout of the home was well designed for our needs with two bedrooms upstairs and two downstairs, each with a bathroom. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need and we enjoyed cooking a few meals so we didn't have to eat out every meal. The owners had even left us fruit and juice.
The property is in a great location due to the easy accessibility to so many places such as Manitou Springs, Seven Falls, the Air Force Academy, etc.
The booking experience was easy and I thoroughly enjoyed working with Liliana and Wendell. They explained everything clearly and returned phone calls promptly. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay at Casa de Lutze again. This place was more than a property, it was a home and we highly recommend it as a great place to stay!
Ideally suited to our group of nine adults and two small children. Only down sides were the nearly overpowering scent of some sort of air freshener and the imbalance in air conditioning between the lower and upper levels; when comfortable upstairs the lower level is quite cold. However these are fairly minor issues and we would not hesitate to use this house again.
Arrived for a family reunion. Home was 2 miles from where my parents grew up.
7 family members from around the country.
Lots of room. Downstairs has 2 bed/2 bath with open seating area and nice outside grill. Large kitchen worked great while hosting 20 people. 4 baths are wonderful while everyone is getting ready.
No issues at all. Would highly recommend.
The home met all our needs. We were in Colorado Springs for the week to attend our daughter's graduation from the Air Force Academy. The house was well maintained and had plenty of room for our family and my sister's family, ten in all. We felt right at home for the week we were there. It is conveniently located near Garden of the Gods and Manitou Springs so we had plenty to do when not involved in graduation activities. When we did have graduation activities it was only 20 minutes to the North gate. We had only one minor glitch when the WiFi went down with 5 teenagers in the house. The property manager was able to resolve the problem within half an hour after our call to report the issue. I would recommend this property to a friend or relative.
During the week we hiked around the Garden of the Gods, my parents in their 80's took a jeep tour which they enjoyed. We also did the incline and shopped a bit in Manitou Springs. We would have liked to do the cog railway also but we just ran out of time.
We had a few dinners out while in the area. Being a microbrewery fan, I particularly enjoyed the Colorado Mountain Brewery just a few minutes from the house. Good food and great beer. We also enjoyed the ribs at Rudy's Country Store and BBQ. Very good ribs but be prepared for a very informal atmosphere. We also hosted a small graduation dinner for 15 at La Bella Vita, an Italian restaurant on Northpark Dr. Both the food an service were excellent.
Colorado has lots of fun things to do. We love to go white water rafting. One of the top ten rafting areas is nearby. The hiking and fishing are great. There are over 400 miles of trails in the Pike National Forest starting right up the road. We also have a great place called “11 Mile” to go fishing and boating. The home is located 99 miles from the Ski Lifts at Breckenridge.
Of course the Colorado Springs area has many great places to visit. The Pikes Peak Cog Railway, Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, Glen Erie Castle, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Cripple Creek, The Royal Gorge and Seven Falls are a few of the neat places to visit. Manitou Springs and Old Colorado City (only 5 minutes away) are great places to go shopping during the summer. And of course, no visit is complete without a trip to the Broadmoor Hotel and Resort.
Downtown is only 1 mile away.
The South Gate to the Air Force Academy is approximately 15 miles away.
Denver is also only 1 hour away.
Golf: Golf course is approximately 4 miles from the house.
