4 Bedroom Home, 1.5 Baths, 0.7 miles from the Beach
After a long day at the beach have the kids roam free in the basement to play, watch the flatscreens, play bumper pool, or play any number of the provided board games, while the adults enjoy the living room flatscreen, brand new kitchen, and glass porch. My home was renovated in 2016. It has 5 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, a full garage with two driveways, a glass window porch, fire pit, horseshoe pits, basement bar, flat screen TVs, bumper pool table, and propane BBQ grill.
The main floor has 3 bedrooms with queen beds. The basement has another bedroom with 4 twin beds and another common room with 2 twin beds. The common basement room also has a pull-out queen sofabed, flatscreen tv for lounging, and a bar for entertaining. The basement also has a bumper pool table for fun times and extra refrigerator for additional beverages/lobster! Washer/Dryer are also provided. The main floor has a brand new kitchen with stainless appliances and a living room with brand new furniture. New real maple hardwood throughout. The back porch on the house has large windows and provides for a wonderful outdoor/indoor feel. Fun for evening dining or lounging after a long day at the beach.
This house was taken down to the studs and renovated in 2016. It is a perfect place for whatever your summer needs are. It is located close to the beach for daytime fun, it is near the village for historical sight seeing and guided evening tours, it is also near several restaurants for dining. Or, if you want to stay in a day or two the house has amazing amenities including, 3 flat screen TVs, brand new kitchen, basement bar, bumper pool, indoor/outdoor porch, fire pit, horseshoe pit, and propane BBQ grill.
The photos speak for themselves. This place is great, if you have any hesitations please feel free to contact me and I will assure you this is the house to rent to make the most of your summer vacation.
Note: I just finished renovating the house so I do not have an outside photo of the house. It has brand new siding and brand new landscaping. Once I have a good outside photo I will post it. The photo I have of the outside is from Google Earth. Sorry, it was the best I could do.

About Joseph Szeniawski
I am a military helicopter pilot in the United States Air Force, living in Alabama. I have family in York, ME who look after the house and I often visit York and stay in the house.
Joseph Szeniawski purchased this House in 2012
Why Joseph Szeniawski chose York Harbor
This property is close to the beach but not so close you have to deal with all the noise of traffic and people at night. It's close enough to the beach to walk if you want. It is near the village for historical sights. It is near restaurants for dining and enjoying great Maine lobster. I am an honest straight forward person and will do everything in my power to make your vacation awesome!
What makes this House unique
My family lives in town so any issues you have can be remedied on the spot, same day. No long-distance issues to resolve or management company headaches. Most houses that sleep this many people are outdated and rent for $4,000 to $5,000 a week in York. Enjoy a freshly renovated home during your vacation. My place is a great deal. The summer is going to be here shortly!

The property was absolutely perfect!
This house was so warm and welcoming...Perfect for a large family celebration...Plenty of beds, pillows, linens. My sons groomsmen stayed their for the wedding weekend and thouroughly enjoyed the space. The fire pit, bicycles, games etc. I could not have had a better place for all my friends. An extra bathroom would have been helpful but other than that a truly wonderful experience. Thank you Joseph also for finding and mailing a very important work notebook of one of our guests! I mailed your check today as we have been battling the hurricane and have had no power or mail service until today! Thank you again for everything!
Thank you for the kind words. Stay safe during your hurricane recovery. You are welcome back anytime.
Comfortable stay for our wedding!
Our stay at this home was lovely. It was the perfect place for my family to stay for my wedding. It was literally 1.5 miles from the York Harbor Inn (where the reception took place). We loved that towels and sheets were provided so it was one less thing we had to pack to bring with us. I would just say that although the house does sleep 14 people, there is only 1 shower and that can get tricky with so many people sleeping there. We had 9 people staying with us and even that made mornings a struggle. Otherwise the house is great. Thanks for an awesome Maine experience!
I am so glad you enjoyed the house. The second outdoor shower can be really enjoyable in the summer. Have a great summer. See you next year!
We had a great time at this centrally located cottage. It was well kept, very clean and
adequately equipped. Although it was really too far to walk to the beach, it was an easy bike ride and dropping people off worked out fine. We liked that we were close to the beach, but not in the middle of all the traffic. Loved the quiet feel of Camden St. The downstairs basement fit all 7 grandkids comfortably and they loved having their own spot. It is an easy walk to a great ice cream shoppe! Everything was as described, the owner is very responsive and helpful. Would recommend this rental to anyone visiting Southern Maine!
My friends and I had a fantastic time staying here. The house was the perfect size, great location, and beautiful! It's even better in person than in the pictures online. The owner was very helpful and great with communication. We especially enjoyed sitting by the fire pit! Thank you for the great stay!
Thank you for the kind words. I am glad you enjoyed your stay at my home. Have a great summer!
Great house in a great location
The property was perfect for the days leading up to our wedding - lots of beds and space available for guests to stay and relax in down time. The owner was very helpful in setting up the rental, and with providing lots of details about the house and area. The house is a few minutes from the main part of town and the beach, but was very easy to get to.
The best of York - Beach & Town
The location of this home is ideal. It sits in a quiet residential neighborhood, has a great big private backyard with both a horseshoes court & a fire pit, but is less than a ten minute drive from the beautiful beaches of York. The owner clearly takes great pride in & care of this property, & it is furnished in a comfortable, up to date & homey manner. The finished basement, the abundance of beds and televisions & the big backyard provide plenty of space for even a large group of friends & family to spread out & relax. The guide book provides outstanding recommendations for both restaurants & local activities. Thank you, Joseph, for welcoming us into your lovely home!
Thank you for the kind words. You and your guests are welcome back anytime. Have a safe and fun summer.
York is an amazing summer getaway. The beaches offer great sights and sunbathing during the day. Short Sands has great shopping opportunities and fun bars at night. The Golden Rod is an old-time diner with a candy shop for the kids with in-house hand made taffy. Long Sands beach provides for the best enjoyment of the beach with plenty of space to spread out and relax. Harbor Beach is the smallest of the beaches but it is where you will find the locals and get the best tips on things to do in town. Mt. Agamenticus offers great hiking and beautiful scenery. York Village is home to historic buildings with guided tours day or night. 'Ghostly Tours' is an amazing evening adventure for the not-so faint of heart. The Bagel Basket is a great breakfast place open very early for the morning bird, with great coffee, bagel sandwiches, wraps, muffins, and drinks. Rt 103 Bridge is a fun place for those who like to do 'bridge jumping.' A popular spot for the local teens looking for a fun summer activity. Wiggly Bridge is a picturesque sight with hiking and biking. Nubble Light House is the most photographed lighthouse in the US. It has a restaurant nearby called Fox's and a souvenir shop. Browne's ice cream is next to the Nubble Lighthouse and has the best ice cream in town--A must visit in the evening after a day at the beach. Fun-O-Rama in short sands offers and arcade and bowling for the fun seekers. Inn on the Blues is a fun bar in short sands. For those looking to see the local bar, Ruby's Brick Oven Grill has a Bar out-back frequented by the locals. The Restaurant out-front of Ruby's is quite nice and separated from the bar. The Union Bluff is a hotel in the Short Sands area with a locally frequented bar on the 1st Floor level, a more low-key option to Inn-on-the-Blues. Excursions Kayaking is tremendous--owner Mike Sullivan runs a great business and provides a unique experience to his customers. The Lobster Pound on US Rt 1 provides true Maine seafood dining. It also has an outdoor bar out back with Bocce and Horseshoes. Always a great experience with colorful locals. Golf is available at 'The Ledges' and at the 'Cape Neddick Country Club.'
For those seeking additional night life opportunities and daytime shopping, Portsmouth NH, is a ten minute drive south on I-95 or US Rt 1. It has a tremendous amount of bars and shops, but it lacks the daytime tranquility and peacefulness York provides. Portsmouth has more of a city atmosphere. Fat Belly's Bar, Portsmouth Brewery, and The Page are good restaurant/bars. The Portsmouth Gaslight offers a night-club feel on the top floor of the 3 floor establishment, it also has an outdoor bar with bands.
