Paul Pellegrini purchased this house in 2009
Paul chose this location to build his best home to date because it offered a quiet pristine location yet was close to the vibrant Homer community. Moose, eagles, owls, Sandhill Cranes and hawks are among the many visitors to the property.
The 4.5 acre property has ample room for parking, while providing a serene getaway close to town's amenities. It may give you ideas for a future dream home of your own!
This house has so much potential. The layout is great and it's very spacious. Had all the basics. Most Windows didn't have any shades. Sure it's a private location but shades in bathroom and most of the bedrooms would be nice. Especially, since it doesn't get dark at night. It's 10-15" drive to homer and there is a great deli and bagel shop close by. This house has the potential to be perfect. Obviously, AK is very remote but this had the least functional wifi. As a physician, I needed to review labs and faxes and was basically impossible. I would go into town to a coffee shop to use wifi any get my work done.
Very spacious, nice property, very nice owner. We got to see a mama moose and TWO babies! We would definitely stay again..
This is a beautiful home, new construction and very spacious. The location is private and quiet with excellent views of the bay. Perfect for a larger group with plenty of privacy and bed space.
Great property- nice kitchen and views. The bedrooms were spacious and the large house gave us all room to be comfortable. The kids loved all the games.
What a nice perk. And the Moose and Baby were a perfect unplanned touch!!
It was a perfect 2 nights in Homer.
The home is absolutely beautiful and the hosts very gracious. The views are wonderful. We are long-time Alaskans from Anchorage and brought our 30-year nephew to Homer for a first-time visit. He loved it. Although the property is located a little distance from the Spit, it's very close to our favorite restaurant in Homer - The Homestead. And the benefit of being away from the "Spit" is the quiet beauty and enjoying it all on the back patio. Would recommend it to anyone wanting a quality stay in Homer.
This is my first time to rent with VRBO so didn't know what to expect. Wow, we're we in for a treat. This home is georgous, spacious with an amazing view for about the price of one hotel room on the spit. We went up for fishing and after a long day, it was so nice to come home to a clean, new home with a fantastic kitchen, cook our food and relax on the deck and enjoy the view. Except for the hungry Mosquitos (which are a plenty in Alaska during this time) I will definately return to this home or another VRBO if not available. Another bonus, the owners live next doors, so if you need anything they are available to help out, sweet couple.

It is common to see wildlife from our home's porch! You might see moose, eagles, sandhill cranes, or pheasants while having coffee on the deck.
Homer is perhaps best known for its fishing, but we most enjoy the scenic beauty seen from our home and as you drive to town. Glaciers, forest stands, and the bay combine for world class views. The serenity this instills is indescribable.
