We have been bringing our family to Pepin for over 20 years and are now making memories here with our grandchildren. Recently retired from owning & operating a construction company, we purchased this home to enjoy & share the Pepin area with guests. Cliff has a passion for fishing and was a guide on the Mississippi River in his early years, and now shares his knowledge and experience with others as a US Coast Guard licensed captain & fishing guide. A combination of rental & guide trips can be arranged. Cliff also offers eagle viewing tours from his boat on the lake.
Cliff or Cindy Haugland purchased this house in 2012

"What a wonderful time we had at Eagle's Cliff. Such a beautiful inviting home for 16 of us (ages 10 to 79).
Our whole family really enjoyed being there; everything was just perfect at the house. It was so comfortable and it had everything we could possibly need. Cindy and Cliff were so helpful and wonderful. We highly recommend!!
Pepin is a lovely town - we were able to walk downtown, to the beach and to the park. Enjoyed the fireworks sitting on the pier at Lake Pepin. Ate at the Pickle Factory, Homemade Cafe and also the Garden Pub, where they had a great bank playing outside on July 5.
Enjoyed bean bag toss, camp fires, visiting Stockholm and the Alma Bluff park. Highly Recommend!

My friend and I initially wanted to rent the entire house for a scrapbooking weekend. On the advice of the owners (thanks for looking out for us!!!), we rented the upper portion of the home and had plenty of room for our tables, chairs, totes, and bags. All the instructions you need are well written and easy to understand. (The tip about the 9pm whistle was most appreciated). The home is maintained very well which makes it easy to relax in. We tried several restaurants and the general store. We were not disappointed. Cliff and Cindy are very easy to work with. It was a pleasure doing business with them!!
We had a great time fishing and did some local site seeing. With 15 of us together, we made the whole house work out well. The grandchildren loved eating out on the deck. It is far enough away from the marina and train to have a quiet stay. House was furnished with pretty much everything a vacationer could use. Great job Cliff and Cindy.
This was an absolute wonderful place for our family to gather for a get together. The home was well appointed with everything that we needed and more. The owners were very accommodating to our needs and the little touches of a place, such as a welcome present, was a nice surprise. This also was the cleanest place that we have ever stayed as a family. Thank you for making our visit one that we will remember!
This was a wonderful house and location. The house was VERY clean and comfortable. It's a great location and very easy to get to and from. The owners were great. They provided tons of brochures in advanced in the mail to help plan activities as well as providing them at the house when we got there. Everything was so well documented at the house that we had no questions about the home or the area. My wife even forgot her necklaces and the owners were great about mailing them to us right away.
This is a great house and a great location if my travels ever take me back to the area I will rent this home again and recommend it to family and friends.
Thank you for making the stay so wonderful and comfortable.
I have to agree with all the others. Cliff and Cindy have gone out of their way to supply their visitor with all the minor necessities that make it easier to transition into a home for a few days. One of our crew was very happy to have a band-aid on hand! :)
My greatest area of gratitude is, of course, a well-supplied kitchen with some basic spices and staples that are such a pain to pack, but you always end up needing.
The bedroom situation worked out very well for our group of families with 3 infants and a few other children. Plenty of elbow room.
Thank you so much.
We had a wedding at a nearby vineyard this last September. The town didn't have a lot of different options for places for a large group to stay, so we decided to look at house rentals. Eagle's Cliff surpassed every expectation we could have had. It was like staying right at home. The house is clean, cozy, roomy, and there wasn't a creature comfort that wasn't made available. We had a group of 10 and had no problem at all with sleeping, bathroom, kitchen, or storage space. Amidst all the people who couldn't wait to get checked out of their hotel room after the wedding was over, we could have stayed another couple nights. Cliff made it as easy as could be to get in touch with him before our trip, and even made an appearance when we checked out. It was great to meet you, Cliff, and thanks again for offering such a great place to stay!
