The Isle of Palms, like all barrier islands, has a dynamic beach near the inlet that separates the island from Dewees Island. The ebb and flow of the changing tides, through the inlet, creates and moves sand bars just off shore. These sandbars will channel waves between them, resulting in the massive buildup of sand along portions of the island where other areas may develop temporary erosional hot spots. These hot spots will feature a sand beach throughout the day outside an hour or so before and after high tide. Where a dry sand beach may be limited in these few areas at high tide, walking either direction will lead to an area where the sandbars have created an expansive beach to enjoy at any tide.

Very beautiful condo with a wonderful ocean view. The access to the beach is so easy and close. This property is a winner!
This was an excellent property. The views could not be beat and the walk to the beach couldn't have been shorter. It has lots of space and I would highly recommend it. The only drawback was very minor. As a family with a small child, we cook a lot rather than eating out. The kitchen was great on space, but it was a little lacking on the cookware for preparing meals. If this is important to you be aware. However, if you eat out a lot, which most do because the restaurants are great, then don't look back.
This condo had beautiful decor as well as amazing views. Our family thoroughly enjoyed staying there and look forward to coming back. The layout of the condo was great for a family and the accommodations were fantastic!! Our family would highly recommend anyone to stay at this place.
The view is spectacular. The outside seating area made it a really special place.
This property is as beautiful as the photos. The view of the beach and ocean is the best! Unit is beautifully and comfortably furnished. The kitchen is well furnished. We have been to Wild Dunes many times. This unit will now be at the top of our favorite places to stay. Working with a local realtor made it easy for us to call or email with any questions prior to our trip.
My family stayed at this property during the summer of 2014. We've had several visits to the Isle of Palms and this property was the best by far! This property was astounding. It was the first time I ever walked into a rental and felt like I was walking into a friend's home and not a rental property. The Owners of this property definitely care about the experience they provide their guests. From the comfort of the beds to the great decorating it just felt like "home". I would recommend this property to anyone that is looking for a "home away from home" vacation experience. In fact, I have family members renting the property this year! This property gets an "A+".
