This property was originally purchased by Kathleen's grandparents back in the 1940s. Her grandfather built the cottage and her mother would spend every summer here while growing up. After Kathleen's grandparents retired, they spent 6 months every year at the cottage and Kathleen would vacation here with her parents and brother. It was a labor of love to renovate the property - we gutted it to the studs and did most of the renovations ourselves with help from some friends and relatives. We hope you enjoy it!!!
We tried to think of everything that you would need when traveling - whether it be an iron, a hair dryer, an extra pillow - it's those little touches that make it cozy and welcoming. We want our guests to feel right at home.
We booked a week in this Brewster cottage due to its proximity to all the things we like about the cape. We were able to use the bike trail every day and could easily ride to Cobies, Nickerson park and at least 2 beaches. This was so much fun! We were within a 5-10 minute drive to anything else we wanted to do. Orleans is about 5-7 minute drive where there is a grocery store, fish markets and at least 5 different ice cream stands. The cottage is very private and secluded at the end of a long drive way. You can't even see the neighbor's houses. It was the perfect size for our family of 4. We cooked nearly every night and enjoyed camp-fires on the back patio. The cottage had everything we needed for our trip. The kitchen was well stocked and the bedrooms were a good size for our family. We ate inside a few nights when the bugs were bitting, and the roll out table worked just fine. The cottage was clean and updated and the owner (Kathleen) communicates promptly and answers all questions. If we decide to vacation in Cape Cod again, we'll definitely consider renting this cottage! Thanks for a memorable vacation!
My husband, our 2-year-old daughter and I live in Germany. This summer/fall, we spent four weeks travelling throughout the US. We really enjoyed the stay in this cottage in Brewster. Brewster is a great place to stay because you can do daytrips to most towns on the Cape. Our daughter loved the quiet beach nearby and to explore the tides. The cottage offered enough room for the three of us. Everything we needed (and couldn't bring overseas) was there. Having a washer and dryer was a blessing. Having the bike trail nearby was great for short bike trips and walks! A lot of information about restaurants and activities were provided by the owner. We would definitely come back!!!
We stayed in Brewster for a long weekend for a family wedding. This little cabin was exactly what we needed - we slept 5 adults comfortably, and the large bathroom made getting Wedding-ready easy! It was also just a few minutes away from Ocean Edge, the venue for the weekend. We loved the easy access to everything in Brewster, proximity to the bike trail, and large yard and outdoor space at the cabin. I would probably not stay here with 5-6 adults that aren't family/close, as the space is quite cozy, but it was perfect for our group. Also, we didn't realize there wasn't A/C in the cabin, but we were lucky to have 60s and 70s all weekend. Next time we're looking for a cabin in Brewster we will definitely stay here again!
The modernized cottage still has the quaint Cape feel. Great space and light. Perfect location to launch from for Cape activities. Enjoyed watching hawks in the trees around the yard.
This was the perfect place for us and for a great price. This house is so cute and had pretty much everything we needed for our brief stay. We were out and about a lot and didn't spend too much time there. However, when we were there we had no complaints. It was also one of the few places that allowed rentals shorter than a week. Would definitely stay here again.
This was the best place we've ever rented. The location was awesome, it was 30 seconds from the rail/bike trail and close to beaches, shops, grocery, everything! The house also had everything we needed, and we really appreciated the washer/dryer, towels/linens, beach chairs, and coffee maker. One of the best things about the house was the outdoor space. We used both the patios, and the grill for dinner on two nights. The house was also extremely clean and had extra blankets. Kathleen was great with communication, and we would definitely stay here again!
Brewster is centrally located mid-cape on the bay side. Take advantage of low tide to explore the tidepools in the Brewster Flats or just relax on the sandy beaches. Centrally located to shops, restaurants, the bike path, beaches, sports and recreation, Brewster is the ideal vacation spot for people of all ages and interests.
