We learned to ski as young adults in our mid twenties. We loved the sport so much we knew we had to own property in ski country. When we had children we did not wait to teach them to ski. At three years old they were on the slopes in Sugarbush's Sugar Bear Program. We are both retired now and spend as much time as we can at our VT home when it is not rented. So happy to have purchased and own a beautiful corner of God's splendor known as Vermont.
Owner/Manager Tom Clarke purchased this house in 1982
We skied and traveled all over Vermont but I have to say there is no other area more beautiful than the Mad River Valley. It is a Four Season Gem of Nature.
It has to be the view off the living room not to mention the proximity to Skiing and golfing.
This is the perfect cabin for all types of Visitors! The house is fully stocked with cleaning supplies, kitchen utensils, and plenty of blankets. We loved the location being extremely close to the mountain. When we arrived on Friday, the driveway was recently plowed. On Saturday and Sunday morning, someone came by and shoved the steps which was a nice add on. We had 8 guest and we never felt crammed. The new shower down stairs is very nice! I would highly recommend this location. The owner also labels the house with easy instructions for anyone to figure out! Thank you for taking great care of your house. I look forward to coming back1
Had a great MLK weekend staying at this property. The house is very close to Sugarbush. It's both comfortable and well equipped, with great views. Tom is responsive and easy to work with. Holding one star for the layout of the house - the TV/family rooms doubles as one of the bedrooms (note that the IS a separate living room with gas fire place), and the other room with 2 beds is quite small. Cozy and well kept none the less.
We enjoyed staying in this ski house. The backyard view was wonderful. Location was great. House was easy. The only thing is that I didn't read the fine print and didn't realize I had to clean the house before I left so it made it a bit more work. I would have been happy to pay someone to do that. Overall the house was clean regardless. Tom Clarke has been a huge help, responding to my messages promptly and provided us with plenty of insight into the area. Our favorite spot was Warren Falls.
This is a cozy ski chalet that we rented during the summer. It is very well stocked with everything you need including good washer/dryer, fireplace, and Wifi. The high points are updated bathrooms and firm mattresses, and the place was spotless when we arrived. Negatives are shabby decor, wallpaper, and furniture. And no headboard on the master bed making reading in bed almost impossible, ugh. This area is perfect as a central location for summer activities. Incredible local swimming holes; Burlington, Stowe, and Montpelier within 45 minutes; good local restaurants; lots of water sports; great hiking trails.
Great place. Would have rated it 5 out 5 if it had a hot tub.
Really close to Sugarbush <10 minutes. 4 wheel drive recommended. Very hilly getting to the place and also Sugarbush.
We had a great time at this house, were able to comfortably sleep 8 and host more for dinner (a couple friends from the area), there was plenty of parking and the driveway was nicely plowed. The house is very close to the mountain which was perfect. Had a great time and would rent this house again.
