There are no next door neighbors at Antler Ridge Cabin. All you'll see from the spacious front porch are the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. From the back deck, you'll see the Skyline Drive of the Shenandoah National Park. Situated at the edge of 52 acres of pasture and forest, Antler Ridge Cabin is the perfect romantic getaway for 2 in the Shenandoah Valley or a peaceful getaway for the family. Sightings of deer, wild turkeys, or even a bear are possible.
Inside the cabin, you will find all the necessities for a comfortable stay. The living room includes a TV with DVD player, Queen-size sleeper sofa, fireplace (but not for use in summer months), full kitchen with microwave, coffee maker, and everything you need to cook that special meal in the kitchen or on the grill out back.
The map only plots our property in Luray...it is 2 miles from Lake Arrowhead on Wintergreen Drive (or State Rd 746). At the end of that road, you go for approximately 0.3 miles on a private drive through our property to the cabin.
My husband and I both grew up in this area and reside within 10 minutes of the cabin. I am an elementary school principal and my husband is the county's Recreation Director. With 3 children, we never have a dull moment.
Amy Painter purchased this cabin in 2012
We purchased this property at auction in July 2012. It was a hunting cabin at the site of a hunt club and shooting range. We literally took the cabin down to its bare studs and built back a cabin that we can be proud of....a cabin that is cozy, comfortable, and has all the necessities of life.
This cabin has recently been renovated and we take pride in its restructure. We hope that renters will respect our hard work and appreciate nature at its finest.
Amy and tony did an incredible job of having the cabin ready for me on a 2 day notice. It was better than I imaged it would be. I needed time away from people with a great surronding and that's what I got. Also there's a beautiful lake 2 minutes away. I plan on going back. Also the inside has wonderful decor. Robert. Of course almost forgot saw three bears. Awesome
My boyfriend and I came here for a weekend away and it was nicer than we could have imagined! The property is close enough to towns and other houses, but it is secluded on it's own patch of land that you have to drive down a private road to access. The cabin sits on a large block of property surrounded by woods, which provides a nice secluded atmosphere. The cabin is equipped with everything you could possibly need. It even has direct TV cable, which was a nice surprise. It is very clean and cozy and looks like it was recently renovated in the past few years. It is very close to Shenandoah National Park and also is about a 3 minute drive to Lake Arrowhead, which is a beautiful lake and campground that we really enjoyed walking around and taking in the views. All in all, I would definitely recommend this property and hope to stay here again!
Antler Ridge Cabin was the perfect place for a relaxing "mini-moon" getaway to de-stress and de-compress after our wedding. The cabin is in a great location - just far away enough from town and other neighbors to feel secluded, but close enough to have easy access to grocery stores, restaurants, etc. It is also easily accessible to gorgeous hikes within Shenandoah National Park and other attractions like the Luray Caverns. Antler Ridge was clean and well equipped with all the basic supplies you need for a few days away from home.
Amy was great to work with - very responsive, provided easy instructions for arrival and offered helpful tips for our stay. The one disappointment was the fireplace, which we were really looking forward to taking advantage of, was not in working order for our stay.
Overall, we would highly recommend Antler Ridge for a lovely, relaxing vacation!
We had a lovely time at this cabin in Luray! Close enough to the main shops and restaurants but still secluded. Lake Arrowhead was right around the corner and a great spot for anyone who loves the outdoors! Cabin was neat and perfect for our purposes.
We loved the total isolation and quiet at the end of the road! Beautiful porch and back yard with views of sunset and stars. The cabin is clean and well- maintained and in a great location to access both Luray and Shenandoah National Park. We will return!
