There are no next door neighbors at Antler Ridge Cabin. All you'll see from the spacious front porch are the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. From the back deck, you'll see the Skyline Drive of the Shenandoah National Park. Situated at the edge of 52 acres of pasture and forest, Antler Ridge Cabin is the perfect romantic getaway for 2 in the Shenandoah Valley or a peaceful getaway for the family. Sightings of deer, wild turkeys, or even a bear are possible.
Inside the cabin, you will find all the necessities for a comfortable stay. The living room includes a TV with DVD player, Queen-size sleeper sofa, fireplace (but not for use in summer months), full kitchen with microwave, coffee maker, and everything you need to cook that special meal in the kitchen or on the grill out back.
The map only plots our property in Luray...it is 2 miles from Lake Arrowhead on Wintergreen Drive (or State Rd 746). At the end of that road, you go for approximately 0.3 miles on a private drive through our property to the cabin.
My husband and I both grew up in this area and reside within 10 minutes of the cabin. I am an elementary school principal and my husband is the county's Recreation Director. With 3 children, we never have a dull moment.
Amy Painter purchased this cabin in 2012
We purchased this property at auction in July 2012. It was a hunting cabin at the site of a hunt club and shooting range. We literally took the cabin down to its bare studs and built back a cabin that we can be proud of....a cabin that is cozy, comfortable, and has all the necessities of life.
This cabin has recently been renovated and we take pride in its restructure. We hope that renters will respect our hard work and appreciate nature at its finest.
Antler Ridge Cabin was the perfect place for a relaxing "mini-moon" getaway to de-stress and de-compress after our wedding. The cabin is in a great location - just far away enough from town and other neighbors to feel secluded, but close enough to have easy access to grocery stores, restaurants, etc. It is also easily accessible to gorgeous hikes within Shenandoah National Park and other attractions like the Luray Caverns. Antler Ridge was clean and well equipped with all the basic supplies you need for a few days away from home.
Amy was great to work with - very responsive, provided easy instructions for arrival and offered helpful tips for our stay. The one disappointment was the fireplace, which we were really looking forward to taking advantage of, was not in working order for our stay.
Overall, we would highly recommend Antler Ridge for a lovely, relaxing vacation!
We had a lovely time at this cabin in Luray! Close enough to the main shops and restaurants but still secluded. Lake Arrowhead was right around the corner and a great spot for anyone who loves the outdoors! Cabin was neat and perfect for our purposes.
We loved the total isolation and quiet at the end of the road! Beautiful porch and back yard with views of sunset and stars. The cabin is clean and well- maintained and in a great location to access both Luray and Shenandoah National Park. We will return!
Everything was as advertised. We loved the solitude. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. Should have stayed longer.
Antler Ridge is an awesome cabin - love the antler decor throughout and all the rustic finishes. It was spotless upon arrival, we loved the front porch swing and Amy gave us the heads up on a huge raspberry patch next to the cabin - our son had a great time picking them. We had a nice swim at Arrowhead Lake and did Luray Caverns as well. We had 3 bear sightings the first evening which was the highlight of the trip - they crossed the driveway in front of the cabin. Great secluded getaway!
We have enjoyed our stay in this cabin. It is located in a very secluded place, has almost everything desirable for a week-long stay. Entrance to the Shenandoah Park is about 15 minutes in a car, grocery stores are not far as well. If we decide to come again to the park in the future, we will definitely check if this property is available.
