Overview

Northern Michigan Cabin Rental Photos and Description

4 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, Sleeps 11

Beautiful Lake Leelanau is the perfect spot for a summer vacation and Shoreline Pines is a sweet cabin style home for a family vacation. Situated on 100' of sandy Lake Leelanau, this property also features a one-of-a-kind boat house directly on the water. Attached deck to the boat house makes for the perfect spot to catch some sun or cast a line. The yard is nicely treed with pines, cedars and birch, so hanging outdoors is comfortable with dappled shade. Plenty of outdoor seating on the deck and on the shoreline too.

This cozy 1300 sf ranch with an abundance of new updates sleeps up to 11 and features 3 bedrooms with 1 King, 1 Queen, 1 Full, Sofa bed and a Twin air mattress plus 2 baths. There is window air in the living room. This home is nicely shaded and close to the water so it stays pretty cool inside. The studio guest house, which is separate from the house features a Queen bed & air mattress. Ceiling fan. Linens are included. Much of the home has bamboo floors throughout.

Enjoy family dinners out on the enclosed porch that overlooks the lake or enjoy the spacious yard and cook on the provided charcoal grill outside. Sit around the firepit right on the edge of the lake, grill the catch of the day, play yard games or simply do nothing at all. This spot on Lake Leelanau is hard sandy bottom frontage. Jump right off the dock into sparkling clear water. You do not find many properties so close to the waterfront either! The sunset views from this location are stunning. Can it get any better than this?!

There are 3 TV's/cable and WIFI.

The great outdoors features tall pines so you can enjoy both a shady spot and plenty of sunshine near the shoreline. Thinking of bringing your small boat? There is a dock and small covered boat house provided. The Lake Leelanau boat access is just down the street. Your well mannered pet is welcome.

This home is located minutes to the village of Lake Leelanau. Enjoy local made pastries at the Leelanau Pie Shop, specialty coffee drinks at Peddling Beans, locally made vodka at the Northern Latitudes distillery tasting room plus dozens of wineries. Blustone, Forty-Five North and Laurentide are minutes from this location. Rent a pontoon at the Narrows, have a pizza at Dicks Pour House, pick up some groceries at the local corner store. You can even walk across the street to Hahnenberg Farm Market and Cider Mill. There you can pick up fresh cinnamon rolls or the local produce of the week. Public boat launch is 1/4 of a mile away. Located 20 minutes from Traverse City, 5 minutes to Leland and 10 minutes to Suttons Bay. Sleeping Bear Dunes is about 25 minutes away. You will not be disappointed when you stay at Shoreline Pines. This spot is simply amazing.

This is a Sunday - Sunday rental for prime summer weeks. Short stays available off peak.

We had a great week staying in the Shoreline Pines property. The cottage is in great condition, as are the deck and dock. We were very comfortable, enjoyed the view and access to Lake Leelanau, and would stay in this property again!

Great house on Lake Leelanau. Right on the water with its own boathouse and pier. Very quiet yet close to shopping and dining in Sutton's Bay and Leland. Great sunsets, crystal clear nights--a great place to relax and hang out in style.

Reviewer Comments:

Lovely, new Master bedroom with firm King size bed, ceiling fan, new large bath with nice tub and shower, big closets and a full sliding door for ventilation. The deck had new Adirondack chairs,Weber grill, lightweight chairs by the fire pit that were comfortable. There was a great three season room leading out to the deck that had many windows and was delightful for getting a nice breeze. The flat screen TV was a nice touch with the internet hook up. The kitchen was older but adequate with a new, large refrigerator. The water was clear and our weather was good-a ladder would be nice from the dock. As it was just my wife and myself, we did not use either of the other two older bedrooms and we left the doors closed, but they might be hot in the summer without A/C, so a couple of floor fans might be nice for them. The area was very peaceful and quiet-except for our next door neighbor to the south who was building a house during our stay. He should be done before the end of the year and we would certainly like to come back next year.

Reviewer Comments:

Nine of us visited Caboose Royale to celebrate daughter's 30th birthday. With five bedrooms, everyone had a comfortable place to retire, two with balconies, and the master with the en suite bathroom unit with soaking tub (can you tell I watch a lot of House Hunters?). No one could get over how clear and clean Lake Michigan was. We chose to stay at the property more than our intended touring of Leelanau Peninsula... although we did venture out twice... once for a mid-day wine tasting and meal at Leelanau Cellars right on Omena Bay five miles north of property, and once for a cross-peninsula trip wine and distillery tasting, lunch at ****'s Pour House at Lake Leelanau (from the advice of the distillery pourer at Northern Latitudes Distillery - best horseradish vodka ever!), and ended that evening with a trek up a dunes at Sleeping Bear for the sunset. Other than that, we were content to swim, snorkel, kayak, enjoy the grill, play cornhole, and top off the evening with a fire down by the lake. We even danced to the juke box with the lovely tunes from the past and read from the vintage Dr. Seuss books from the upstairs library. So wonderfully decorated - felt like home. Definitely would recommend this property.

Map

THE TOWN OF SUTTONS BAY – Heading north, about 15 minutes from Traverse City, you will discover the idyllic village of Suttons Bay on the eastern shore of the Leelanau Peninsula on Grand Traverse Bay. The Suttons Bay harbor has been a haven for boaters since the early 19th century. Today, families bask in the sun on the shores or walk the boardwalk around the marina. Stop in and visit the Inland Seas Visitors Center, the quaint antique shops and art galleries, hike or snowshoe the Leelanau Trail or Bahles Park. If that’s not enough, visit Candy World for some sweet treats or divine desserts at Chimoski Bakery. At the end of the day have dinner at one of the many wonderful eateries such as Martha’s Table or Boones PrimeTime Pub and relax with a movie at The Bay Theatre. (and you can walk to everything!) Like sledding? Bahles Park right in the village offers family fun for free. On your way south out of town stop by the Hilltop Barn for home decor, gifts and antiques & great food at 22 & Vines.
