The Creekside Chalet is a vintage log cabin, in immaculate condition, situated creekside, on our amazing and unique parcel of land in the small mountain town of Silvergate.

PLEASE NOTE: We have a 3 night minimum in fall, and a 4 night minimum in the Peak Summer season. If we have a 2 night gap created by longer stays, we would entertain a 2 night stay. thanks !!

This vintage log home has mountain charm with modern conveniences. It's bright and sunny, with large windows, wood floors, and a great 'fool's gold' fireplace! There's 2 bar chairs if you like to hang out in the kitchen, or a fabulous, large, and comfortable dining room table set. The living room is super comfy, with a couch, easy chair, and a large rocking chair and a DVD player with a nice size screen. We do have a bluetooth sound bar if you bring music. Due to our remote location, power can go out several times during the summer, usually just for a few hours. We have installed a Whole-house back up generator which will allow all appliances and water heaters to continue to run.

The cabin sits conveniently just off the highway on its large lot, with 2 rows of evergreen trees in front for privacy. The sunny, West side has a large lawn with an amazing sitting area RIGHT NEXT to the Soda Butte Creek, as well as a mature stand of lodgepole pine trees in the back yard. We have a firepit next to the creek if you like to roast marshmallows! (we often have fire restrictions later in the summer)

You can enjoy fishing right from the yard! There's also a huge grassy town park right across the street.

The home has great views of the surrounding mountains. You can often see mountain goats to the south, and mountain sheep to the north at the same time! The king size bed has huge views of a snow capped peak all summer, and the sound of the creek comes in the west window. The huge bedroom also has 2 twin size beds in it. The bedroom is on the south side of the home with great windows looking at the mountains, trees and creek.

This is a fantastic setting for a Yellowstone experience you'll always remember. The little town of Silvergate itself is very charming and you are close to the Lamar Valley, the best place in the Park to view wildlife. Also, the Beartooth Pass to Red Lodge Montana is, according to legendary news anchor Charles Kuralt 'the most spectacular road in America'! There are several hiking trails from the cabin, and 4 different creeks with waterfalls all a 30 min hike or less. Silvergate also has a couple of cafes, general stores, and gift shops. There are several lodges in our little town as well.

We love the Northeast corner of Yellowstone. This area is inspiring to us with its towering peaks up close to the town, and the abundance of wild animals! It is truly a place to connect with nature, and to enjoy some really nice folks as well!

We have the most unique setting in the valley. Our large parcel of land right in the middle of Silvergate has both big views and sunshine as well as the sounds and delight of the creek running through!

Notes:
Silvergate is a small recreational community uniquely situated adjacent to Yellowstone Park. Many activities and amenities are available right from the front door! You feel like you're in the wilderness but have the comfort of a small town. Ice Cream, wine and cheese, elk chili, or milk and bread are available from one of the two general stores. The Log Cabin Cafe is fabulous and much of its menu is organic.

Definitely met our expectations! Loved this chalet!

Loved it as soon we walked in! It was charming, cozy, and relaxing. Plenty of room for my husband and I and our two daughters. The amenities in the cabin were great. The views from the cabin were beautiful! We were minutes from the entrance to Yellowstone. The town of Silver Gate was a cute mountain town. I would definitely recommend!

Beautiful quiet location

We had a wonderful stay at the Chalet. The property is absolutely beautiful. You can relax on the deck all day just looking out at the mountains and the river.

The cabin was clean and well supplied with everything we needed.

The owner and property managers were very helpful and easy to work with.

We would definitely stay again.

Perfect location

We had an excellent time and the accommodations were excellent. The view and atmosphere were outstanding as was the cabin. What I did not expect was that our hosts and our caretakers as well as everyone we met in Silvergate and Cooke City were so friendly. We were even greeted by the town bison named Franklin. Thank you to Pat and Cat and Living Waters Properties for making sure we were comfortable and relaxed. We wil be back and hope to bring our new grandson.

Perfect Cabin

Stayed in this cabin with a family member.

It was wonderful. We were out hiking and sightseeing in Yellowstone every day; and honestly a highlight of each day was knowing we were coming back to this cabin to relax, take in the views, read by the fire, etc. Choosing this place to stay is a big part of a very memorable trip.

Slept great every night due to the large comfortable bed and amazing snowcapped views to wake up to. Saw lots of moose and bison in the immediate area around the cabin. Evening strolls were divine. Cooked nice meals every night in the equipped kitchen or out on the grill.

Can't recommend this cabin enough; and the owner, John, was a true pleasure to talk and work with.

Light, spacious and airy

Lovely place to stay! High ceilings, large windows and ceiling fans keep the cabin beautifully open and light. Everything was super comfortable--from the beds/bedding to the towels to the dining room chairs. Lots of thoughtful touches and comforts. Of course the Silver Gate location and wildlife are awesome too. I wasn't sure how the single large bedroom would work for our family of 4, but it was just fine.
