About Nancy's Vacation Rentals
I was a flight attendant for Pan Am and United for 32 years and was based in Paris for the last 5 years of my career. I retired after 9-11 and converted this property into a vacation rental and began my next career! It's a natural progression from Flight Attendant/Purser to Vacation Rental Manager. I'm still trying to make sure people enjoy their vacations!
Nancy's Vacation Rentals purchased this Apartment in 1995
Why Nancy's Vacation Rentals chose North Pacific Beach
Because of the fabulous weather. I own this vacation rental in the Pacific Beach area because I love the community and laid back lifestyle San Diego has to offer along with all of the outdoor activities!
What makes this Apartment unique
Riding bikes on the boardwalk. Walking with my toes in the wet sand and watching the sunset on the ocean horizon and perhaps catching a glimpse of the green flash on cloudless nights.
100% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date. 50% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
We loved our stay at Jason's Felspar Apartment! We walked across the street every morning for a cup of coffee. We spent the afternoons walking the beach. There were so many restaurants in walking distance for a night out. We felt very comfortable and safe in the condo. My children, 11 and 15, loved it too! It was so nice to park the car and enjoy the area. We did venture out to La Jolla, Mission Bay, Ocean Beach and Sea World. It was convenient to all of those places. I highly recommend the place for families!
Thanks for sharing your experience!
Good overall. Loud on Saturday night.
Thanks for sharing your experience! This property is in a prime locations, close to restaurants, shops and nightlife.
Nice place, great location
The property is very conveniently located in the center of PB and there's always something going on. It's very close to the beach and their are bikes and a wagon in the garage. The unit was clean and comfortable. There are two bars close by but the noise was not a problem. It might not be the best option for someone older. There is also no A/C and even in October we needed the windows open for fresh air. Overall I'd go back. I really loved the location and for the price it was definitely worth it!
*We had a slight plumbing issue on day two and Sarah promptly took care of it. I was impressed with the property management company for stepping up after hours so quickly to take care of the issue.
Thanks for your feedback. We are happy we could resolve the plumbing issue quickly. Most coastal residents in southern California do not have central AC because of the cool and dry climate. We can provide a portable AC for an additional fee. We are a local team open seven days a week to serve our guests.
Nancy and Team
Great location, terrible landlord
Myself and friends overall stayed in this apartment for one year in total. The service team was excellent, always communicated if something was coming up that we would need to know about (i.e. water issues, window cleanings) they even would work around our work schedule. Nancy (landlord/manager) on the other hand is an absolutely terrible landlord that I would never rent from again, she tried to up our rent every chance she got and would provide absurd excuses for the rent increases (over two thousand dollars monthly of rent increases in total). Location is excellent, we would have moved out in the very beginning due to price increases if the apartment was not in such a great location. Definitely would not recommend for a family but people in their 20s-30s this area is right next to all the bars and restaurants in walking distance. The place also comes with bikes, beach chairs, beach towels, books, games, etc. The house itself is incredibly outdated, the kitchen supplies are very old and lacking a lot of materials but would be fine if only there for a short stay.
Thw bunk bed was good for our 3 boys. I felt like everything was just thrown together with old leftovers though. The kitchen was the worst part of our rental stay! And we rented a house just so we would have access to a kitchen so we could cook!! Everything was just hodgepodge. From the drinking glasses to cookware. The pots and pans were old and teflon flaking....was just a disappointment. Plus the neighbors across the way played their loud music every night after 930pm. Did I mention very loud. We couldnt even have the windows open. And we had 3 kids under the age of 11. And the garage- we didn't know we were going to have to share it with the other garage owner which we weren't happy about. The reason for the garage was so we wouldn't have to worry about our vehicle. And it was so tight and crammed with bikes and boogie boards and on our last day... a ladder appeared out of nowhere and was hung within a few inches of my car's front corner bumper. It was truly a disappointment for us on our family beach vacation.
We're very sorry that you had such a disappointing experience. We at Nancy's Vacation Rentals strive to help all of our guests create positive and long lasting vacation memories. Whenever guests are dissatisfied, we do our best to remedy any situation as best as we can. We do want you to know that we have gone through the kitchen and replaced everything that needed replacing but we certainly would have responded during your stay had you reached out to us. We also can call neighbors who might be playing their music too loudly if we are made aware of the situation and have diffused loud neighbors during the spring break chaos in the past. We also provide white noise machines in each bedroom for nights when sleep seems a bit more elusive. Again, we apologize that your stay was disappointing and we wish we could have had the opportunity to correct some of the issues about which you wrote, we would have done so happily, if it meant a more positive experience for you and your family! We do hope you give Nancy's Vacation Rentals another opportunity in the future. We have nearly 60 vacation rentals to choose from, from the more budget rentals such as this to the higher end rentals if you are looking to celebrate any special events! We wish you the best, The NVR Team
Location: walking distance to the beach was great; spring break was a little too college filled- restaurants were catering to college aged not always family friendly.
House was nice and as stated. Would have liked some black out shades/curtains as the ones there let in lots of light and needed some repair.
Parking in garage was convenient as the street filled up in the evenings. Garage was tight for the mid-sized car we had but great to have.
Thank you so much for your feedback. We're happy you enjoyed your stay with us, overall. We will share your suggestions with the property owner regarding the blinds. We hope to have you as our guests again in the future, perhaps outside of spring break season!
