Every vacation day begins and ends with the beauty of blue sky and golden sand and the soothing sound of ocean waves that you will enjoy from comfortable furnishings.
Waters Edge is a premium condo resort. There are large indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a hot tub, exercise facilities, a lounge, restaurant and convenience store, all on the premises. The bedroom has a new king size bed and new furniture that has been delivered since the pictures were taken, and a private bathroom. Both sofas convert to queen size beds. Linens are provided, beds will be made, some soap, paper towels and trash bags will be on hand. You will not begin your vacation by making beds or running to the store to get toilet paper!
Garden City is perfect for a family vacation or romantic getaway, away from the traffic and crowds, but still a short drive to attractions and over 100 golf courses. The Garden City Beach pier, restaurants and shops are .7 of a mile south from Waters Edge. Just a few minutes south is the Murrell's Inlet Restaurant Row, "the Seafood Capital of South Carolina". Luxury shopping and dining are a few minutes north in the Market Commons area. All the attractions, dining and shopping of Broadway at the Beach, Coastal Grand, and the Myrtle Beach downtown boardwalk are just a bit further north. For a unique cultural experience, Brookgreen Gardens displays one of the world's largest collections of sculpture by American artists in a lush outdoor setting, along with a zoo and butterfly garden. It's just a few minutes south.

We enjoyed out 2 week stay at Waters Edge unit 908. This was a pre-retirement stay. I will retire end of Jan/2017. We liked the people in the resort and the restaurant there. We hope to do this again in Oct. We do hope the resort didn't suffer much damage from hurricane.
See you real soon hopefully in fall .

I got the room on very short notice (the day of my arrival, long story) at a very reasonable price. 908 is a 1 bedroom with 2 full baths that could easily sleep 6-7 people. There was an issue with some dripping water from the ceiling of the bathroom and the laundry room. I reported it to the front desk guy, and it was fixed very quickly, and had no impact on my stay. Room was a tiny bit worn here and there, but completely comfortable and quiet. I'm 56 so I don't want to hear wild parties, and the little bit of rowdiness from some nearby rooms always ended before 11pm, so no problem there! Bedroom has a big firm king bed with a master bath. It's right on the ocean! You can literally walk out your door barefoot in your swimsuit with your towel and keys and be completely at ease. There's a little bar room and a restaurant and a convenience store on the lower level, very convenient! There's a whirlpool and a cool indoor/outdoor pool, but I only swam in the ocean! Easy drive to Walmart, Bi Lo, restaurants and pier at Murrell's Inlet, and less than 15 mins to Myrtle Beach. Every single person who works there is pleasant, polite and eager to be of assistance. Overall I love it here and actually miss it now. I would absolutely love to stay again next year!!
The other reviews for this place noted the view and I couldn't agree more, the view is great but that's where the good ends and the bad begins. This place is grossly misrepresented. The carpets were filthy with cigarette burn marks and the smell that comes with cigarettes. The million dollar view from the stained patio with filthy plastic (one cracked) furniture and the hand rail with bird droppings almost ruined the view, and while I'm commenting on the view, it was almost lost on the fogged over window/sliding door with a dangerous tripping hazard in the walk though. The bathroom and bedroom doors were literally falling apart. The kitchen faucet leaked, the laminate on the counters was separating with some pieces that had fallen off and were just not replaced. The kitchen cabinets had years of grime on the cutouts for opening. The metal entry door was rusted and dented. The whole place needs to be painted, updated, and the carpets replaced.
The good; the view. It's in an older high rise where it was obvious the building management was making improvements to cleanliness and updates with new carpets, pool and deck maintenance. Walking to the pier along the beautiful beach was a charm although the area around the pier is a little seedy. There are better restaurants to the north of the condo along Ocean Blvd., but not walking distance.
The location is good for those that want to dine in Murrells Inlet and walk the boardwalk and listen to music. Maybe a 10 minute drive. Don't be intimated by the biker bars when you first drive in to the inlet there a a couple of restaurant pockets beyond those that are very good. It gets you away from all the commercialism of Myrtle Beach. It can get very crowded as well but it caters to a more upscale feel than downtown Myrtle with all the buffets.
We had friends stay in a 'building owned condo' that was a huge improvement over this unit. If you want to stay in this area I would recommend this building but not this unit.
I did contact the management company with our concerns and all they said they would contact the owner. Huh?
I would not recommend this room to anyone.
Great ocean view, was a little disappointed in the condition of the bathrooms but was clean and functional. Bed frame was broken and noisy. Kitchen was clean and the living area was comfortable with a nice 52 inch TV. I would recommend replacing the bathroom doors and bed and a fresh coat of paint then I would recommend the property to a friend.
We were at this rental for six nights and enjoyed it very much. It's conveniently located in Murrell's Inlet area and close to some great restaurants. Sara J's is not far from here over on Atlantic Avenue and of course the strip of restaurants down Murrell's Inlet goes on for a long distance. The beach is very nice and just a few steps outside the back door of the condo building. It's a nice walk to the Pier where there's a couple of restaurants and an ice cream store. There were some renovations being done while we were there and so the noise level during the day was a bit loud but it was always quiet at night and they kept us posted on what was happening.
Beautiful views of the ocean from the patio - being on the 9th floor was amazing in terms of the amount of the ocean that you see. The unit was clean and had all the necessities that you need including a wonderful ice maker in the refrigerator that came in handy.
We had a problem with the door lock and the manager was responsive to our complaint and had a locksmith out the next day.
Would definitely stay there again and would recommend to friends and family.

Many of these condos are large enough to accommodate several families, a perfect reunion setting.
Golf is the “national” pastime of The Grand Strand. Some say you can play a different course every day of the year. That’s probably an exaggeration, but certainly you can play 36 holes a day for a week, (or a month) without seeing the same course twice. There are well over 100 golf courses to choose from near many of our Myrtle Beach home rentals. Fishing is the lesser-known area sport. Inland waterways and shallow coastline areas offer anglers lots of action, with guides available to show the way.
A perfect family vacation area, there are dozens of attractions and amusement parks close to many of our Myrtle Beach home rentals for kids of all ages. The new SkyWheel, a 200 foot high Ferris wheel, is an amazing attraction and is said to be among the largest in the world. Surfside Beach and Garden City both offer amusement parks the kids and parents alike will love.
For a combination of art, culture and nature many of our Myrtle Beach home rentals are right near Brookgreen Gardens. This 9,000 acre park exhibits one of the largest collections of sculpture by American artists in the world. The manicured lawns with walkways and pools beautifully enhance these spectacular works of art.
Restaurants are everywhere, with options for every taste and budget. Just about every cuisine in the world seems to be represented all only a short ways from many of our Myrtle Beach home rentals. Seafood is, of course, the staple, there are a large selection of places to get all you want. Murrell’s Inlet says it’s the Seafood Capital of South Carolina, and boasts a long row of highly regarded seafood restaurants to prove it.
Nightlife? If you’re not worn out yet, choose from live popular music, professionally produced stage shows, and “tribute” acts that pay homage to the legends of popular music, playing “oldies” that are sure to bring back memories.
