Treat yourself to a classic Door County get-away. The Beach House is nestled on one of the quietest stretches of beach along Lake Michigan. Enjoy breathtaking sunrises, quiet walks, a beach fire under the stars, and the sound of waves at night. You might even spot the pair of nesting bald eagles just to the south.
The cottage is located between Jacksonport and Baileys Harbor. This location allows you to enjoy the “Quietside” of Door County with easy access to such attractions as Whitefish Dunes State Park, Maxwelton Braes Golf Course and Cana Island Lighthouse. While there are many excellent shops and restaurants nearby, the Green Bay side of Door County is just minutes away.
The Beach House has a fully equipped kitchen and a charcoal grill for your use. It has a queen size bed in the bedroom and a full mattress in the sleeping loft. The main room also includes a sleeper sofa. The bathroom has been recently remodeled. You won't find the distractions of a TV or the internet, but you can view your favorite movies on a DVD player. Many of our guests find the screened-in porch overlooking the beach as the best place to curl up with a good book.
The cottage can be heated should the weather be unseasonably cold. Beach House is a housekeeping cottage. Blankets and pillows are there for your use. Linens and towels are not provided.

Our family had a great time at the beach house this summer. It's tough vacationing with young children but you can't go wrong with a beach out your back door. Home was cozy, children loved the loft. We plan to come back next year.
This was our 24th year at Quietside Cottages. As our family grew we expanded into the Beach House. What we like about the beach house is the screened in porch for coffee in the morning and listening to the sound of the waves. The grand-kids love being up in the loft and gathering on the pull out sofa bed to watch a movie on a rainy day. The views are great and the cottage provides all the amenities necessary for a comfortable stay. Steps away from the beach for beautiful walks along the shore, star gazing in the evening or roasting marshmallows over a campfire...who could ask for more? We are already looking forward to returning next summer for our 25th year!
This was our first stay at the Beach House and we didn't want to leave! Cozy, quaint, and quiet - so relaxing. Full kitchen is great for the times we wanted to eat in and we rented movies for rainy or cooler evenings. Another plus was the screen porch, the beach and morning jogs. So much to do in the county and come back to the cottage to relax - we will definitely return!
I recently spent a few days at Beach House with another grandmother and our 2 young grandchildren. The kids immediately climbed the ladder to the loft and claimed this space as their private play area. We enjoyed splashing in the waves, building sand castles on the beach and enjoying local attractions like The Farm.
The Beach House is simple, comfortable and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. It is very clean, the beds are comfortable and the cottage invites us to relax. It is right on the lake so very convenient for young children. We will definitely return!
I am an "ocean person" but when our budget determines that we stay in the midwest, the Beach House at Quietside Cottages is my first choice. The cottage is just steps up from the lakeshore, so close that, on a wavy day, I can hear the waves lapping the shoreline from the screened porch. That sound soothes my soul!
The beach is sandy, secluded and we can walk for miles in either direction. The cottage is well-appointed--we found everything we needed there. The bed is comfortable. The cottage is clean and well-maintained.
We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.
Quietside cottages were just what I was hoping they would be...comfortable, clean, cute and calming. I pulled up after dark and the first sounds I heard were the waves crashing on beach. I felt like I was at the ocean! After dropping my bags in the cottage, I headed down to see the moonlight show the lake was putting on. It was spectacular. I couldn't wait for morning to come. It dawned in silence and serenity. The sky opened up in a beautiful sunrise and the lake was as peaceful as my sleep had been. I walked the beach over and over and was amazed at the ever changing beauty of the Quiet-Side of Lake Michigan. Enjoying the cottage in the woods was just as nice as enjoying the beach. The shops and good coffee nearby were a treat. I came home totally refreshed. I recommend the Quietside property wholeheartedly and can't wait to go back.
