2 bedroom 2 1/2 bath condo with two decks

Newly remodeled, beautiful split-level condo with 2 bedrooms, private baths and outside decks up and down.Half bath, living/dining room and kitchen upstairs with full deck access and views. Each bedroom includes memory foam mattresses, queen in one and two twins in the second. A twin size mattress available for 1 additional guest which is stored in a cabinet. The kitchen has all new stainless steel appliances and very well stocked kitchen.

About Karen Jochimsen

This is the condo (green carpet-rental couch-ouch) when I purchased it and what a fun transformation! It is a tribute to my Mom. She & I used to going fishing all night at Cranes Mill marina. I grew up in New Braunfels and used to sneak to the marina after early release from high school and take Dad's boat out. Humm, 40 years ago and he never knew! Please enjoy staying here and treat it well so we can all continue to enjoy visits.

Awesome!

You can tell that there has been lots of love put into this place. It is so pretty and the view is amazing of Canyon Lake. The area is very quiet and peaceful. She has done an amazing job at remodeling it and making it look and feel like a home. So nice to get away yet still feel comfortable in someone else's place.

Thank you very much for letting us stay. We will defiantly be staying again.

Lovely Condo

This condo is lovely and very well cared for. It is obviously a well loved home and kept very clean. It is exactly as described and has a beautiful view of the lake. The owner was very easy to reach, responded quickly, and was very helpful. We were in the position of needing to find a place immediately because we were in another rental house that was in unacceptable condition. Karen worked with us to make the contract come together and we were able to move into the condo the next day. The location is great for exploring the hill country towns and playing many golf courses in the area. There is a great book of area information in the condo. The condo was a wonderful quiet refuge to return to each day. We definitely hope to rent again when we return to the area in future years.

Owner's Response: Having quick response to required documents and payment made the rental process easy. I myself have been in a similar situation in a bad rental and was glad to assist in the transfer. These people were lovely to deal with and obviously appreciative.i hope they return soon!

Nice place but don’t break anything!

My family (of five) really enjoyed Labor Day weekend at this condo. The location worked well for us and we found the condo to be nicely furnished and well cared for. We were quick to overlook the dirty glassware, dishes and utensils because the rest of the place was clean and well stocked. While we were there, we felt we should make it our first choice when returning for a weekend getaway to the lake and even recommended it to friends.

However, we will not return. One day, while cleaning up the kitchen, a wine glass was knocked into the sink and broke. We reported this to the landlord upon exit. The landlord found a replacement set of six glasses and reduced my deposit for the whole set. It was an inexpensive set (note my wife found the same set locally for half the price we were charged) but it didn’t sit well with me that I should buy a new set of glasses for breaking one. The landlord conceded this and, instead of charging me for only one glass, mailed us the other five glasses from the set.

I’ll leave it to you to decide how you might expect to be treated but this makes me nervous to think that a ding on a wall might require repainting the room! Given the risk for such treatment on a larger scale, we won’t return.

Owner's Response: This family agreed per signed contract that the deposit covered damages and missing items. They indeed reported a glass breakage and offered to replace it. I responded that the deposit would apply and the glasses were not individually available . There was no further comment from that reply until I emailed my searches for the special glasses at local discount stores were unsuccessful. The wife corresponded with me separately that maybe it be fair to send them the remaining glasses, so basically they did receive merchandise for their deposit but were not charged round trip shipping (Amazon to me and shipping to them). The dirty glassware, dishes etc. were not reported verbally nor by email correspondence until expressing their disappointment with the reduction of deposit. I want all my visitors to enjoy themselves and feel that the property is well stocked, clean and sanitized prior to their arrival. With personally having those high expectations, I found it necessary to replace my previous cleaning service.

Great Rental

The condo was beautiful and it had everything that we needed. Karen was easy to work with and returned calls quickly. The view was good and we saw deer every single day. We would stay here again.
