Peaceful Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

This was our second time renting at the Barley Neck area of Orleans. It is a beautiful place with bike and walking trails along the marshes and Nauset Beach being nearby, about 2 miles from this cottage. The pictures don't show how spacious the kitchen and dining room area really is and how it opens up to the living room. The room divider is a beautiful center chimney. The bedrooms are comfortable and cozy and the bunk house was peaceful and quiet, like being in a cabin. The yard is wonderfully landscaped in the front with English ivy defining the back yard. We loved the grill for meats and for grilling corn in the husk. The outdoor shower was hot and the Adirondack chairs were great for morning coffee time and after dinner relaxation. Nauset Farm stand was a short bike ride away for fresh food and

vegetables. We were an eclectic group of parents with teenagers and an 11 year old and we all enjoyed this lovely cottage. It was hard to leave. Looking forward to another visit.

Perfect house for our family of 4.

  • 5 of 5

The house had everything we needed. What a beautiful fully equipped house close to the beaches and the Cape Cod Rail Trail. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and we enjoyed nightly dinners on the deck. The owners answered all our questions quickly. The owners had a nice selection of information on restaurants, hiking/ biking trails, shopping and local attractions available at the house that was much appreciated. The outdoor shower was a hit with everyone! So nice to wash off the beach sand at the end of a beautiful summer day. The window fans were also used and needed at night. You will not be disappointed when renting this charming cottage.

A Wonderful House

  • 5 of 5

We had a great week staying at this house. It is beautiful, very clean and boasts a beautiful garden adorned with blooming hydrangea and roses. Located only a couple of miles from our family favorite Nauset Beach. The neighborhood is very nice and quiet, perfect for biking , running and walking. The house has everything that we need for a vacation rental, with good selection of books to read. We will look forward to return next year!

Return Visitors - We love this Cape house!

  • 5 of 5

We spent our fourth week at this wonderful Cape house in August and we will return again next summer. House is wonderful with an open floor plan in the main living area and a bunk house in the back yard which our children loved. The street is quiet as is the surrounding area. But just one mile away you will be able to enjoy dining, ice cream shop, pizza, gourmet grocer and more. There's enough in this area that you'd never have to see route 6 until it is time to leave. Only a 5 minute drive to the beach, and 10 minutes to Orleans center. When you arrive you will be happy that you are away from the busier parts of the Cape, and it's your choice whether to seek that out or stay in this wonderful area. Great outside local activities: Nauset Beach is amazing and you can get an over-sand permit to drive on the beach (check the website for vehicle requirements), Goose Hummock rents kayaks and paddle boards, get a clamming license, crab less than a mile from the house and jump off the dock at Meeting House Pond. Great combination of a great house in a wonderful area.

Very clean and well maintained

  • 5 of 5

If you are looking for a little gem of a cottage to escape to, this is the place. Surrounded with beautiful flowers and all the comforts of home. Nice bright airy cottage. Close proximity to the beach and fantastic places to eat. Great location to explore other areas of the Cape. We are glad to have discovered it, love it, and are heading back next year for our third time.

Wonderfully Charrming Cape Magic!

  • 5 of 5

Idyllic Cape cottage in a wonderful spot just a couple of miles from Nauset Beach. My two children and I spent a relaxing vacation at Deborah and Mark’s home this summer. Sweet home where we enjoyed some much needed family time. Simple pleasures included morning coffee on the Adirondack chairs under the cedar trees and early morning walks down the road to see the sunrise (with a cup of coffee of course). My daughter enjoyed her morning/afternoon runs down the quite roads and my son loved his stay at the bunk house. The roses and hydrangeas are beautiful! First year at this cottage and we loved it so much we already reserved for 2016.
