Renters Beware!

  • 1 of 5

Not for the renter who expects cleanliness! Arrived to this unit where the bed was unmade, dirty soiled sheets on the bed, the mattress was old and dirty as well. Queen mattress on a king boxspring? Really? I felt like I was in a college dorm room from the 1980's. Dirty floors, pet smells, and overall filth. When I contacted the owner, he would never respond. Absolutely NOT Seabrook standards.

Serene Solitude

  • 5 of 5

I ventured to Seabrook Island for a birthday getaway for myself. The condo couldn't have been a more perfect place to spend some time relaxing and enjoying all that Seabrook has to offer. Malcolm was fantastic, allowing me the opportunity to check in early and he went out of his way to make sure my questions and concerns were addressed, even providing me the security gate contact information since I would be arriving late at night. He also made suggestions on things to do, where to shop and dine, and what not to miss. When I arrived, I found the condo hadn't been cleaned from the previous renter; however, with a quick phone call, Malcolm had the cleaning service at the front door and when I returned from a quick trip to the store, the place was immaculate. It did not affect my day in any way, but Malcolm kindly offered to have me extend my stay for the inconvenience. The condo was stocked with pretty much everything you can think that you would need...paper products, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, linens, extra blankets, etc., which was nice not having to spend the money for items you may only use one time during your stay.

The condo itself was a bit dated, but it gives you a feeling of a place where family comes together to enjoy themselves without the necessity for trendy amenities and decor. The bed and couch were comfortable and I loved being surrounded by the beach decor, artwork of Charleston, and a view that I never wanted to leave! I spent hours on the deck sitting on the cozy patio furniture watching marine life, beautiful sunsets, and infinite stars. If it wasn't 30 degrees outside, I would have slept on that deck! The area is quiet, private, and a perfect place for relaxation. I rented a bike and was giddy with laughter, riding around the pristine neighborhood and even along the long stretch of one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. I can not wait to go back for another visit and I would absolutely stay at Malcolm's condo again. It was the perfect birthday vacation. Thank you Malcolm and family for your generosity, kindness, and sharing your amazing place with me! Erin

Great Location, wish we could have stayed longer

  • 4 of 5

This was my first visit to Seabrook Island and unfortunately I was only able to stay 1 night. It is beautiful and seems like there is lots to do especially in the warmer months. The Condo was great and fit our needs perfectly. We were there to run the Kiawah Marathon so location was key for us. The view from the back deck is amazing, and could have spent hours out there, perfect for sunset pictures. Easy walk to the water. The owner was great to work with and very responsive to inquiries.

Ready to go back and explore some more!

  • 5 of 5

Mr. Blankenship, just want to tell you thank you for letting us stay at Pelican Watch, the view from our

balcony was a real treat. We enjoyed seeing all the different boats going in and out of the north Edisto river. I purchased a digital camera right before our trip so we had a blast videoing and taking lots of pictures of sunsets and sunrises and lots of action. The dolphins really put on a good show as I took my morning walk. I met a really nice lady on the beach and talked with her for a while she had a condo across the street. I didn't get a chance to ride the horses due to the pastures were being used to store storm clean up from all the down trees. I love Live Oaks and we did go by Angel Oak, how awesome! for those that have never seen it, pictures don't do it justice, it's a must see. Really enjoyed seeing all the deer come out at dusk and didn't seem bothered by people. I was really impressed by all the homes and how nice everyone kept there places. I'm looking forward to going again and exploring more shops and restaurants and branching out a little more, before we know it our trip was over. We plan to do more next time.

Thanks again for such a lovely vacation. Sincerely Mrs. Rhoden

Much needed get away

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful view, wonderful beach to sit on & relax or just stroll, great amenities on the island, home may need some TLC, but was clean with a new couch & patio door. I had a question for Malcom & he answered me promptly. Malcolm was very accommodating letting me check in early & offered to let me rent longer, but I needed to return home. I will return on my next trip to Seabrook. My thoughts & prayers for the family during Huricane Matthew, that they have little damage.
