This is a 4 bedroom (1 king, 1 queen downstairs), (one king, one with two twins upstairs), 1 1/2 bath home centrally located to Acadia National Park, the other island towns, and Bar Harbor with all the amenities of home. We provide everything you need - all cookware, dishes, linens, soaps (dish, laundry, bath), basic cleaning supplies, trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels, aluminum foil, sandwich bags, etc. (Just bring your suitcases! And some food!) There is a microwave, toaster, coffee maker, washer and dryer. There is cable TV, phone, and WiFi. There's a BBQ grill on the lawn with a patio table and chairs that seats 6. Pets are welcome too (there's a fenced in yard - just let them out the door!)
My husband and I spent many summers here until we decided to move here in 1989. We love Acadia National Park and the towns on MDI. (And fresh lobster of course). Spend your vacation at our rental property and I'm sure you'll fall in love with Maine too!
The house is well set up for 3 couples. It was clean and well supplied with everything we needed. Bar Harbor and Acadia are a short drive away. There's a nice general store less than a mile away and the free bus stops there too. We spent more time on the quiet side of Mt. Desert Island and all of those sites were easy to get to also. This house was perfect for what we wanted to do, which was get up and have coffee and breakfast then spend the days hiking and sight-seeing and swimming. Come home and clean up and go out for a meal or fix our own meal at home. This house was perfect for our group and a great value. Janice was very easy to communicate with also.
