We loved everything about this property. Compared to other rentals our family has enjoyed for vacations, Sea Colors is by far the best! The wonderful architecture, comfortable landscape for enjoying the pool, accessibility to the beach , interior design specifications, furnishings, and appointments and friendly welcoming feel to the home win us over on arrival. We really do hope to book it again. It was the perfect vacation home for us to enjoy our children and preschool grandchildren!!
WOW - so glad we found this house. We have been coming to the Emerald Coast for over 10 years and this is the first time we stayed in Grayton Beach. We loved Sea Colors. It really is secluded even though it is in a neighborhood. The trees surrounding the pool make this house seem so private. The decor is great - very inviting and comfortable. Great windows and balcony to watch the sunset every night. House is stocked with plenty of appliances, utensils, plates, etc. Beds are comfortable and living areas are spacious. Plus, the company managing the house was extremely friendly and very responsive.
The neighborhood of Gulf Trace is bordered by state parks on both sides so the beach seems very private and not at all crowded. Plus, if you have bikes, Seaside is just a 15 minute ride down 30A on the bike path. If you like a family oriented beach that is not crowded but want to be close to restaurants and shopping, this house is a great choice. Will definitely stay here again. Perfect!!
This house had absolutely everything this family of 6 could want for our beach vacation! I have to admit, the queen bunk beds sealed the deal for us - my boys were in heaven with their own t.v.! The house was spotless (even in those less-conspicuous areas), so beautifully decorated, and we felt right at home the moment we walked in the door. Not to mention, the unique art around the house was a great reflection of the cool art in and around the Grayton area! Lots of room for family members to spread out and find a quiet spot when needed. The deck off the kitchen overlooks the pool for adult beverages while the kids swim. :) The moonrises over the ocean viewed from the crow's nest were spectacular! Since we were there at the tail end of spring break season, we appreciated the quiet, very family-friendly neighborhood.
Was so happy to find all the utensils/cooking stuff, dishes (even plastic stuff for my younger ones!!!), dish towels, etc. was all ready to go - a welcome sight for weary travellers who just drove down from Michigan! Ample towels, blankets and linens, too.
The private pool was awesome - my kids lived in it when we weren't at the beach. Having the beach so close was terrific, too - about a 3 1/2 minute walk to that beautiful, uncrowded white sand! We took advantage of the 'beach gear" credits and rented bicycles which was fun for riding to the beach, around the neighborhood, or into town. We rarely had to get back into the car - only for an initial grocery run and a trip down 30A to Santa Rosa beach (too far for my 7 year old to ride his bike!!).
This was our 3rd trip to the 30A area and our 2nd in Grayton Beach. The whole family (mom, dad, kids aged 16, 11, 9, 7) have unanimously agreed that the Grayton area is our favorite. Shopping, fishing, beach activities, nature trails a short bike ride away, art galleries, great food - we are already planning our return escape from winter's grip here up north!
Lastly, the propery management people were always so friendly and helpful! They were great in making sure our stay went well without being overbearing, and all of our questions beforehand were answered well.
This home is beautiful! We will try to stay here every time we come to Gulf Trace. The covered parking is great, the washer and dryer is nicer then what I have at home, the pool is great, my kids Loved the bunk beds with their own TV's, all the beds are so comfortable. I really didn't want to leave. Even with the house as perfect as it is the view of the sunset is the best part. It was my favorite time of day. We would start dinner and then all five of us would head out to the deck to sit and watch the sunset. Perfect vacation! The owners obviously care about this home and do not just use it as a rental cash cow. We were so impressed.
My new husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon week and had an absolute blast. The house is gorgeous. So well decorated--modern, fresh, and inviting. The pictures don't do the pool area justice. It is lined with beautiful trees and landscaping. It's very secluded even though there are several houses around you. The hammock was also a plus. Every night we watched the sunset from the crow's nest. It has an unbeatable view and is large enough to throw out a blanket and have a picnic for two or three. The beach walkover is about a minute walk from the house. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful and lush with natural trees and vegetation--we even saw deer near the house! The bed was comfortable and the master has a great little balcony. The view and deck off the living room were fabulous. We loved our first trip to Grayton and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sea Colors.
