My family and I spent a week at Jewel of the Isle and we had the most fabulous stay. We were so enamored by how clean, spacious and well decorated the house is. The kitchen is gorgeous and was so fun for us to cook in all together. The balconies provide beautiful views of both the gulf and the intercoastal. We had dinner on the balcony several nights. We used beach gear i.e. the wagon for the kids and the chairs everyday. There was plenty parking. The house is in the perfect location, only steps from the Marina, the Hurricane, the Don and cute shopping area. We hope to stay here again next year or even sooner if possible!
I went for the week to St. Pete for a week with my husband and family. The house was in a great location. It was 2 minutes from the ocean and seconds from the bay. The house was great. There is one large master bedroom and two other bedrooms on the first floor. The kitchen and bathrooms were all updated with all new appliances. We absolutely loved the house and the area. We cannot wait to return. I highly recommend this house to anyone.
The house is well outfitted and a good floor plan for relaxing and entertaining. There is a 2 car garage and a a drive way for off street parking. Lots of sliding doors and decks with outdoor tables, chairs and loungers. Easy walk to all that Passagrille has to offer. Master suite was large and comfortable. The house begs for some updates- a king size bed in the master would be ideal, as would an L-shaped sofa big enough to hold several people or a tall person who wants to nap. The hard water is an issue for the dishwasher. The house needs a water softener to really get those dishes clean and clear. These are suggestions for the owners, but these shortcomings won't deter me from renting it again. PAG beach has been discovered. It is not as uncrowded as it once was so keep this in mind, and take your chairs out to the beach early to stake out a spot. There was a hiccup on arrival due to the house recently being sold, but the property management company was very responsive and took care of the issue immediately.
Loved the house and the neighborhood.Just a 2 min. walk to the clean, uncrowded ocean. The neighborhood had several quaint shops and restaurants yet was still close (about 15 minutes) to downtown St Petes. The house had a nice, homey feel and was perfect for gathering and visiting. Had plenty of decks off of almost every room in the house. It was clean upon arrival and when we had issues with the dryer 'squeaking' we received a prompt reply to come fix it. We declined because we didn't want to be bothered while there. We are actually returning to this house within the next month instead of staying in downtown St Petes for another obligation we have.
The location is Great! The house is roomy and it has some nice artwork throughout, but it is in need of a good cleaning. I realize there are only about 5 hours between potential renters for checking out and checking in, but perhaps more cleaning staff to get the job done. For the price, I expect clean.
The main floor electronics did not work when we arrived ( a tripped breaker) no television for the grand kids. And the grill was inoperable.
The water is so hard that the dishes were caked with residue, hardly usable. Again, for the money perhaps the owners could install a softener.
The highlights are the views from the deck and the location. Pass-A-Grille is our all-time favorite vacation spot so we will return.
I could only recommend this home if I seen reviews in the future stating the place was clean when they arrived.
