Nice quaint convenient location. Neighborhood very nice.
Everything worked out great. We enjoyed it.
We loved our stay at the Little White House! The location is great and the house was comfortable.
Our family enjoyed our stay at Little White House very much. We've stayed in Grove by the Sea once before, and loved this house even more than our last. We slept 10 people comfortably - 4 adults, 3 teens, and 3 younger kids. We all thoroughly enjoyed the rocking chairs on the porches and spent a lot of our time there, when we were around the house. The pool is just steps across the street and is rarely crowded. And the walk to the beach is so easy. There are many houses to choose from in the neighborhood, but very few have the appealing location of LWH.
The bedrooms were all spacious enough for all of our people. We loved having 4 full bathrooms - a big bonus when everyone needs to shower at the same time - as was the endless supply of hot water. The shower attached to the back deck was a huge bonus for cleaning off after the beach, as well. All of the rooms had several extra towels, blankets, and pillows, which was handy. Each bathroom was stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and soap. My only complaint about the bedrooms would be the beds themselves. As mentioned in the previous review, all of the beds squeak loudly when you roll over. I'm not sure what the issue is, but it seems like a no-brainer to fix it. We had several people in our party who woke up due to someone else rolling over in bed. That didn't ruin our experience, but was something we all felt needed attention. Otherwise, our sleeping quarters were great.
The kitchen was well stocked for cooking - several skillets and a few pots and pans, including one large stock pot. There is a blender, a can opener, and a toaster, as well. We were able to prepare everything we planned. There were also plenty of plates, cups, and utensils for your crowd. And between the bar and the dining room, we all had a seat.
The air conditioner was ice cold. We actually had to keep turning it up because we were all freezing - so rest assured you will be comfortable. The living room was spacious - more so than we thought from the pictures. But with one couch and two chairs, there wasn't comfortable seating for all 10 of our people to sit for a long time to watch a movie. We used some of the barstools, but they weren't exactly comfortable. Again, that doesn't ruin your stay, just something to note.
The laundry room was handy when we needed it. The storage room on the side of the house has 4 beach chairs and a boogie board.
Overall, we loved our stay and would return again!
We loved this property. The neighborhood is great for kids. Kind of quiet and tucked away. You are right across the street from the pool.
The house itself is open and bright with plenty of space for our two families of 5. Not as "beachy" as some other homes we have rented but it is very kid friendly, had great history and was very comfortable. Kids had plenty of room To spread out and enjoyed the porch off the upstairs. Loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom and a bonus bathroom downstairs. The master was very spacious.
Our only drawback was the patios. We love to eat and hang out on the patio but there was only a tiny table on the back porch. Also the front porch can't be accessed from the outside and there isn't an easy path to the back porch with the cars parked which makes it hard to schlep in and out with sandy beach and pool gear.
We would come back for sure!
Very nice home in a lovely area.
The home was very nice and comfortable and in an attractive neighborhood. Close to beach and very quiet, just a 10 minute bike ride to Seaside and Publix. The only negative is that the box springs in most of the beds (especially two single beds upstairs) need replacing. They are pretty well broken down and make a lot of noise when you rollover or move at all; woke my wife and I up many times in the middle of the night. We are considering reserving the home for next year although the beds would be a big consideration. Otherwise it was a great week and very accommodating.
Spacious, light-filled, perfect for a week with my toddler and in-laws. If you're a political junkie, it's even better! Highly recommend this house.
