Secluded 2 Bedroom, 2 Bath - with easy access to the main roads and Yosemite
About Ted B
I was brought up on the east coast with four seasons. Later moving to California to work as a physician, I had the good fortune to travel to Mariposa and Yosemite during the winter season to find a truly unique splendor. I decided that this was the ideal place to go for rest, while getting back in touch with nature.
Ted B purchased this Cabin in 2012
Why Ted B chose Mariposa
This property is unique as it sits so quietly and privately surrounded by 40 acres of forest and fields at 3200 feet. Yet easily accessible from Route 49 only a mile away.

We loved staying here! The cabin was the perfect mix of rustic and modern. It was clean and stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed watching the Wild Quail families running around the yard. It was the perfect retreat after our days exploring Yosemite.
Nice little get away
We loved the cabin which was well stocked with all the things that are difficult to pack, soaps, detergents and cooking essentials. Raygn met us at the cabin and was just delightful. She had recommendations and made sure the TV and WIFI worked since my husband had work to do, not to mention the cabin was unbelievably clean!
On a side note, I (the mom) some how showed up with what turned out to be an infected cut on my eye. By bed time I was miserable and swollen, but begged my husband to take the kids to Yosemite in the morning. I called Raygn once I got an appointment and she was so amazing and found me a ride since they do not have Lyft or Uber there. Raygn literally saved our trip.
I will say that the drive to Yosemite is beautiful from the house, but was a bit long for those of us that get carsick, but totally worth the trek.
Despite the short visit, we had a great time. The location is excellent. Only a 45 minute scenic drive to one of the greatest national parks - Yosemite. We really enjoyed relaxing by the fireplace. Our only regret... not booking a longer stay. Thank you for sharing your home! We hope to return someday.
This property is beautiful, and those (owner and property manager) who take care of it are just so kind and accommodating. If you think you need something to make your stay more comfortable, do not worry because they have already gone above and beyond to provide it. From the decor, to the cozy outdoor seating, to the comfortable beds, and finally to the cleanliness, no details were overlooked. We only stayed 2 nights and wish we had spent out entire vacation at this property!
Beautiful scenic quiet vacation home.
We had an amazing time in Yosemite during the day and then loved coming back to this log house in Maripose in the evenings. This place had everything we could possibly need and the owners help with information about the area waa much appreciated. We enjoyed the Quail trail around the property while taking in the sunset.
We absolutely loved this place. It was both simple and it also had everything we needed. The grounds were immaculate on 40 acres with a hiking trail right on the property and an awesome grill, fire pit, picnic area. The kitchen was fully stocked and the living room and bedrooms were cozy. We spent one day exploring Mariposa and hiking the Mariposa Grove Trail. The second day we went to Yosemite Valley and hiked the Upper Waterfalls Trail. Ted’s place was the perfect retreat after a long day of hiking. It was romantic, right in nature and away from the crowds.
