Secluded 2 Bedroom, 2 Bath - with easy access to the main roads and Yosemite
About Ted B
I was brought up on the east coast with four seasons. Later moving to California to work as a physician, I had the good fortune to travel to Mariposa and Yosemite during the winter season to find a truly unique splendor. I decided that this was the ideal place to go for rest, while getting back in touch with nature.
Ted B purchased this Cabin in 2012
Why Ted B chose Mariposa
This property is unique as it sits so quietly and privately surrounded by 40 acres of forest and fields at 3200 feet. Yet easily accessible from Route 49 only a mile away.

A weekend getaway
My family needed a trip away from the daily stress of life. We booked this retreat and we had the absolute best weekend. We brought our one year old and our two year old pup along as well. The cabin was so clean, Connie was amazing as well and even called to check on us. The food store was so close which was awesome! We hiked Yosemite one day and enjoyed the beautiful property the other two days. We loved the fireplace in the living room and the overall comfort and warmth the cabin offered. I can’t say enough good things about this place and I can’t wait to come back!
Exceptional Country Hideaway with all the comforts
A great property on 40 acres! We completely enjoyed our stay Christmas week at this cabin and had the most relaxing and enjoyable time. So quiet and peaceful away from the everyday madness. The cabin is rustic yet comfortable, very tastefully appointed, and spotlessly clean. It has all the modern conveniences and accessories you will need, with a well-stocked kitchen and cozy and comfortable beds. We cooked almost all our meals there. The grounds are immaculate with a gas grill, fire pit, picnic area and great hiking trails right on the property, which we walked daily! The second day we went to Yosemite Valley, less than an hour’s drive to the South Gate. And Mariposa is close enough for to be easy drive for groceries. We absolutely recommend you book a get-away here. You will not be disappointed! Thank you, Ted, for being super responsive and sharing your awesome home! We will be back!
Amazing experience at the cabin, with vast acreage so much opportunity to explore. Connie was very responsive and attentive. Made sure everything was fantastic! Definitely a spot to book.
Very clean and comfortable house!
The house was very well designed and maintained. We found everything we needed for our stay! Everything seemed to be new or almost new! Wonderful fireplace which enjoyed watching sitting on the most comfortable couch and armchairs. Secluded, quiet location! Thank you!
Such a wonderful experience
This property blew our expectations away. It was so quiet, calm and relaxing. Everything we needed as far as linens, dishes, utensils, etc was provided, and most importantly to me, it was extremely clean.
A week later, my 5 & 7 year old boys are still asking when we can go back to "the log house." As my husband said upon our arrival the first night, "this isn't just a place to sleep, it's a place to relax." Thank you Ted!
We loved staying here! The cabin was the perfect mix of rustic and modern. It was clean and stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed watching the Wild Quail families running around the yard. It was the perfect retreat after our days exploring Yosemite.
