Film maker and vacation home owner. I was born in Newfoundland have made it my home and although my film career takes me to the city and often to other countries, this is the spot where I come to relax, to hike and enjoy the gorgeous coastal landscape.
Owner/Manager purchased this cottage in 2003
I was attracted to this property because this was where my mother's family from Ireland settled here more than 200 years ago. The houses are rare traditional properties that we have restored paying great attention to the the original design while at the same time creating all the modern amenities needed to make the houses comfortable, convenient, well equipped, and cozy. Our three houses are situated on the coast and are nestled into an unspoiled wide open landscape. The area is a favourite with tourists not only because the area offers plentiful attractions nearby including gorgeous coastal hiking trails, fresh Atlantic lobster, crab, and cod, many historic sites, coffee shops, restaurants, historic sites, a nearby puffin colony, outdoor theatre. For the fortunate there may be an iceberg, a whale feeding in the bay or a moose feeding on the young grass.
Our properties are quiet, private and perched on the edge of Trinity Bay. We have given great care to restoring and maintaining these properties with everything our guests would need for their HOME AWAY FROM HOME.
In the past ten years there have been three feature films and a period television series filmed in this region. Why? And of course, the excellent restaurants and coffee shops, boat tours, whale watching, hiking ....
