Save time and gasoline by staying with us right in the city limits of Pigeon Forge on the banks of the west fork of the Little Pigeon River Where the water runs rapidly toward the apple barn. We have 2 bedrooms each with a king bed, tv and bath with a jacq.. tubs w shower and separated by the kitchen and living room..A large deck on back where you may enjoy the hot tub or watch the birds & animals or you may just choose to take a little snooze as the sound of the river is so inviting.
I grew up in west Tennessee went to college at UT Martin. My wife Barbara is from Chattanooga. We now live in Florida , retired from our own business. We also have and manage a beach condo near St Pete, Fl. We have done extensive travel through out the world. We honeymooned in the Smokey Mountains and it is still one of our favorite places.
JACK FRANKS purchased this chalet in 2005
It is so close to all the activities. Our favorite place is Dollywood and we can be there in 10 minutes. We just fell in love with the river and never get tired of watching it flow especially after a rain storm.
No steep crooked mountain roads. Once you get inside you never know you have neighbors. In fact the neighborhood is great for walking is very clean and well kept. Why would you want to stay any place else?
Very nice place. Convenient location. Could have been stocked with more dishwasher detergent. Was only left one pod for a 3 night stay and very little dish liquid. Other than that it was great. Will look for availability on this place first for our next Pigeon Forge visit.
The chalet is in a residential area but considering it is right on the river makes it exceptional. However having said that, it could use some upgrades. Furthermore, the place had not been cleaned when we arrived and the heat was off. The weather was brutally cold outside and inside. We found a name on the refrigerator and called her. She came and apologized for the mix up and took care of cleaning, etc. She even covered us with a blanket while she cleaned. The smoke alarm was chirping, she went after a battery and my husband, 77, climbed on a chair and put in the new battery. The communication with the owner left much to be desired. Three days ahead of the trip I requested the address, method to get in and other pertinent information. He insisted he had sent the information but certainly had not. Honestly he verged on rudeness that I questioned whether he had sent it or not. I even had to contact VRBO customer service and they were wonderful. Though a lovely place, I would not stay there again. This is the first and only time I have had any difficulty dealing with an owner with VRBO.
River Safari is located off the main drag of Pigeon Forge, which kept us located close to things we wanted to do without going up and down the mountain. Although, we did that too. The view of the river is awesome and the home accommodated everything we needed. We'll be back. :). Thanks so much!!!!
I gave my grandchildren a trip to Pigeon Forge Tennessee for their Christmas gift this year. I was fortunate to find Jack Franks home on HomeAway. I have used HomeAway 3 times and been VERY pleased with every place we have stayed. I'd have to say Jack's place was the best! Very comfortable and perfectly located just a few blocks off the main road of Pigeon Forge but still providing the quiet relaxing atmosphere as you sit on the back porch and listen to the river rushing.
My family and I look forward to going back to this Chalet often as Pigeon Forge is our favorite vacation spot! Thank you Jack for sharing your home with us...It was awesome!
Had a wonderful stay at River Safari! Lovely house. Close to Pigeon Forge and all that you might want to do. Nice & quiet too.
This place was great!
It was wonderful.
We have stayed at other chalets and cabins both in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge and some were good and some were not.
But this place was and is the best we have stayed at so far.
We visit at least 2-3 times a year and would recommend staying here to anyone.
Was clean and met all our needs.
Is very close to everything and you don't have to drive up and down mountain roads to get to and from there.
Wake up and drink morning coffee on the back deck over looking a nice creek.
We visited in winter but will look forward to in the summer because the kids wanted to go into the creek. Lol
