Beautiful lakefront home with all the amenities! A gorgeous 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house decorated in the classic Adirondack style. There are many custom details throughout the house, including a hand carved front door and mantle by a local artist. Enjoy lounging on the oversized deck in classic Adirondack chairs, or a meal at the picnic table. The property also boasts a lakeside lean-to with fire pit and covered boat dock with 2 swim docks. Truly everything you could ever want for an ideal Adirondack get away!
We purchased this property after searching for a lake front property in the area for years. We're avid hikers and paddlers and Long Lake had become a favorite destination for us on our camping trips. We still enjoy exploring the woods and waterways of The Adirondack Park, but now we appreciate returning to the comfort of our home instead of a tent.
Andy purchased this house in 2007
There are so many things that drew us to this property: the lakefront location, huge deck, floating boat house & 2 swim docks, lake side lean-to with fire pit, not to mention the perfect hammock spot.
We thought the house was incredible! Very comfortable, beautifully decorated, and the location was just breathtaking! A relaxing weekend, enjoying the fall colors is exactly what we had, with the pleasure of staying in a wonderful house... we didn't want to leave. Owner was a pleasure to work with, listing was accurate, but actually the house was better than it appears (which is hard to believe, since it looks gorgeous in listing). I would highly recommend staying there. Local eateries were charming, and we enjoyed visiting Lake Placid and Whiteface Mtn one day. Also loved Buttermilk Falls which is a local attraction. Loved it, and am hoping to come back next fall!
We had a great time on here - the house is absolutely gorgeous, the photos don't even do it justice! Our jaws dropped when we first walked in. The deck was a great place to hang out, watch the trees and the lake, read, eat, whatever. In warmer months, the lean-to would be a great place to sleep out at night. The kitchen was fully furnished with pretty much anything you might need. Everything was immaculate yet very cosy. I highly recommend it!
The house is awesome, and the owners are easy to work with,
Well supplied with everything needed for your stay.
Large deck overlooks the water, lean-to and covered dock.
Not warm enough to enjoy swimming while we were there, but can swim from dock or swim platform.
We have already booked again for next year, and two from the group plan to
book for summer months in the future.
We stayed over 4th of July week and had an amazing time! The house has a unique view of Long Lake. You can sit on the porch and watch Sea Planes land in the water but be far enough removed so that it isn't annoying or loud. Access to the lake is great, can take a boat to so many cool spots; relaxing beaches, fishing in a river, cruise over to the store/bar, we watched the fire works from a boat right in front of the house! We had toddlers with us and the house and porch were well suited for both all. The rooms are set back in their own area for quiet when needed. Lots lots to do in this location.
This is a wonderful house with great space for families. Huge porch with great views. We loved Long Lake - days of tubing and water skiing, afternoons fishing, and evenings spent lakeside by the bonfire. Well maintained property comes highly recommended!
Long Lake is located in the heart of The Adirondack Park with access to some of the best hiking, boating, and fishing in the region. Located right on our road is a trail head for The Northville Place trail, which covers 133 miles of the park. There are also many mountain hikes near by that afford amazing views of the surrounding lakes and forest. Some of my personal favorite hikes are Blue Mountain in Blue Mountain Lake and Owl's Head in Long Lake. Enjoy motor boating of paddling right from our private boat dock, or explore some of many other lakes and rivers in the region. If the weather isn't cooperating, our house is a short drive from The Adirondack Museum in Blue Mountain Lake and The Wild Center Museum of Natural History in Tupper Lake. We have a lots of information at the house to help you access the parts of the park that interest you the most.
If rest and relaxation is what you have in mind, our beautiful lake front home is the perfect place for that too. Grab a good book and wile the day away on our huge deck overlooking the lake. When you feel like a change of scenery, you can relocate to the hammock down the hill, or the lean-to.
