Love love love!!

Pat was so kind and attentive! All was clean and complete. Everything we needed was there. It was the perfect location for touring the Cliffs, Limerick, Adare and even running to Dingle for a day trip. Pat even helped us with scheduling the ferry for the Aran Islands making things easier and faster for us. I would tell anyone and everyone to stay here!

Absolutely Incredible!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I just recently stayed in Coolbeg, and it was a fantastic experience! The property is absolutely charming, and it's a great location to set up base camp for day trips to different parts of Ireland! It took us 90 minutes to get to the Cliffs of Moher, about 90 minutes to Cork, and 2 hours from Dingle. Also, Patrick and Maura were wonderful and took care of us at every turn! We would certainly stay again if given the opportunity!

6 Great Days

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay. The accommodations were nice and very clean. Pat and Maura are wonderful hosts and even provided travel advice when asked. Great location for all of western and southwestern Ireland. The value of facility for the cost was very good. Thank Pat and Maura, from the Cox's and Knudsens.

Romantic ambience, exceptional comforrt, fine host

  • 5 of 5

Pat and Maura have done a super job of restoring and maintaining this 200-year-old stone cottage, down to the flowers in the window boxes. We welcomed having a separate kitchen (the best-equipped we've encountered in a vacation rental) and a second bedroom. (Although there were only two of us, it was handy for storing and repacking luggage.) Just sitting at the picnic table and enjoying this lovely spot -- rural but only about 20 minutes from the heart of Limerick) occupied much of our time. We wished we'd planned for a week at Coolbeg Lodge, rather than three nights. We would heartily recommend this property to family and friends. The photos with the listing don't do it justice!

A lovely cottage on the outskirts of Limerick city

  • 4 of 5

Our family of five (2 adults and three kids) stayed here for 3 nights. It's only approx 25 mins drive into Limerick and was easy to find. The owner Pat welcomed us with a well stocked cottage including fresh milk and homemade buns. The cottage was spacious and well laid out. The children were pleased to have their own beds to sleep in. It's worth mentioning that the beds were very comfortable, with excellent mattresses and even electric blankets!. One thing worth noting is that as it is an old property it can get quite cold at night and we often needed to turn on the heating to keep warm. The electricity is extra and our three night stay cost us an additional €20.
