Publix, the Big P, is a grocery store sent from civilization. Two hardware stores close by for the men. A few books donated by friends for your reading pleasure.

This is a family owned second home. We are native Floridians who have grown up on or near the water enjoying the pleasures you will find here. Friendly neighbors, some who live here year round and others like us who come when we can.
King bed in the master, twins in the second bedroom. A convertible single bed that can be utilitzed stored in the closet in the master. All linens furnished.

We were a family of four now grown to a family of 12 including five grandchildren who are growing rapidly. Adult males (3) can't get enough fishing, serious fly fishermen.
One princess, four princes, three moms and one Senior Citizen.
We all have a special affinity for Florida beaches and having visited many not only here but around the world, we think this is 'IT' hands down.
Obviously everyone knows this is THE Fishing Capital of the World. So that combined with our gorgeous private beach, we feel fortunate to have landed here! Easy access for all of us. However, airports in Miami and Marathon are not too far.
Unfortunately, we are not allowed to do short term rentals--must be 28 days running, so please no requests for weekend rentals or even one week rentals. Not a possibility, only family allowed to go for short periods.
You can do nothing or do something every day. Relaxing is one of the primary occupations when you get in the Island Mode. No strain, manana--there's always another day.
We would like to tell you how much we enjoyed the stay at Sandy Point Condo. The view is magnificent, I think what we enjoyed most was being able to park the boat at the dock in the canal and have the great beach in the back yard! The new decor is fantastic. The 85lb. tarpon we caught and released while down there, has now increased to over 150lbs. After all the fish stories, everything was 4 star and we are looking forward to a return next year!,
We have stayed here 4 times both with young children and also with another couple and absolutely love it! Perfect location with fabulous beach and deep water canal and very nice docking area plus boat ramp that accomodated our 36' boat. Couldn't ask for a better getaway. Beautiful views and comfortable ammenities makes this condo perfect! Highly recommend!!
This charming condo has all of the amenities necessary for an exceptional Keys vacation. Although it is centrally located, close to marinas and shopping, being a few blocks off of the highway made it quite quiet and rather peaceful. The fully appointed kitchen was a nice touch that the family cook appreciated immensely. We were not disappointed by the sunsets and private beach which were as beautiful as advertised. Highly recommended, we will be back!
I had the good fortune to find this gem of a rental in 2014 on VRBO and have returned each year since. Being located in the Middle Keys makes the full breath of the Keys accessible within a relatively short drive. I've discovered something new each visit.
As previously mentioned, the unit is beautiful, roomy and well maintained. The condo association has access to a private sandy beach on the Gulfside, a recently upgraded protected inland channel dock for boats, access to a gated private boat launch, and an on-site manager
The Islamorada/Matecumbe area is world renown for its fishing and water sports. There is an abundance of restaurants in the area, many of which with cook your 'catch' for a small fee. For in-unit meal staples there are available - Publix grocery stores within a ~30 minute drive (Key Largo or Marathon Key).
The unit/complex is located ~10 minutes for the Islamorada proper with it's restaurants & activities. It is about 3 blocks off of Overseas Highway (Route 1) which shelters it from foot/auto traffic & noise. The evening are quite and restful. Make sure to enjoy the beautiful sunset from the Gulfside beach....truly remarkable!
The unit owner provides cable TV, phone, air condition, etc. When temperatures allowed, I often turned off the A/C and opened the windows to enjoy the fresh air breezes that prevail in the Keys. One feature of the unit that I really enjoyed was the large window array on the Gulfside of the unit that overlooks Florida Bay. More personally the unit owner is very gracious and accommodating....a pleasure to work with. I'd recommend this unit without hesitation.
Having found this gem in Paradise and been back once, I plan on returning again!
We had a wonderful visit here last weekend! Another couple and their very young daughter stayed here with my husband and me, and there was fun had by all! It is in an ideal location, as there is a private beach with swimming, chickees, and an outdoor grille. The private beach is truly special - great sunsets, wading for little ones, we even saw dolphins! The home is in close proximity to restaurants, marinas, grocery stores, and main attractions. The accommodations are comfortable and relaxed and very clean. There are 2 bedrooms, and 1.5 baths. Everything you would need is provided there - towels, etc. There is a washer and dryer too, if needed. The owner is incredibly friendly and easy to contact and work with. Wonderful place vacation!
This unit is ideally located on the Florida Bay side of Lower Matecumbe Key. It is within a few miles of restaurants, shops and many of the Islamorada water activities. I especially enjoyed the fishing and scuba opportunities unique to this area.
The unit has been recently upgraded and very tastefully decorated with sleeping quarters on the 3rd floor; kitchen, dining and living rooms on the 2nd floor; and, covered parking & washer/dryer on the ground floor. The spacious gulf views from the 2nd and 3rd floor are awesome!
The condo association maintains a private sand beach on the bay where residents & guests enjoy sunning, snorkeling, and wading/swimming. There is also a separate private launch and docking on an internal inlet fronting the complex for boaters.
You’ll find the owner very gracious and accommodating. I rate my experience an "A+" and will be back!
I and my wife and 2 children, ages 11 and 9, just recently stayed in this unit and could not have had a better time. The beach is just incredible with chickees and a hammock and crystal clear water. We all had a wonderful time swimming, snorkeling and exploring. On the last morning, while fishing on the beach, I had a manatee swim right up to me! And keep your eyes peeled for the resident iguanas! The unit is decorated very tastefully and has everything a family of 4 could ever need. The beds are very comfortable and sunsets are amazing from both the livingroom and master bedroom. You do not need to worry about needing your favorite knives or other utensils, the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could ever need. Having washer and dryer on site is such a bonus! The location is perfect. Great restaurants and shopping are very nearby. We have found our new home away from home.
