Why The Owner chose Downtown

This is just one unit of the five home tract known as the Lanata Row Houses, which spans nearly the entire block between Gov. Nicholls and Barracks Street. The nearly identical homes were all designed by the man that made St. Louis Cathedral. Built in 1847, the homes stand where the French originally had their army barracks and military hospital. Dominique Lanata acquired the land in 1845. The Lanata Row Houses have stood for over 150 years. The Richelieu Hotel is on the far corner while the others were converted into the Lanata House Apartments.

Charming, perfect location

  • 5 of 5

This is a fabulous condo in the perfect location. Comfy bed, quiet location, air-conditioning, this is a sanctuary from the hustle in the French Quarter while being a short walking distance to everything central. Clean & tastefully decorated. The on-site manager was friendly & accommodating. Over all, GREAT stay! We will stay here again and recommend this property to friends & family.

Outstanding home in a perfect location!

  • 5 of 5

What a cool place to say! It's cozy, clean, comfortable, and the decor is very hip. This place screams "New Orleans French Quarter"!

I was looking for a spot for us to enjoy our anniversary in New Orleans. I showed her the pictures of this spot and she said book it right away!

We wanted a comfortable place to stay in the middle of the French Quarter so we could walk to everything. I'm not sure if we could have picked a better location. The street is nice and quiet, so while "the party" is just a block or so in any direction, it isn't keeping you up all night.

We enjoyed our evenings and mornings on the porch with a drink or cup of coffee. We walked to some of the best dining available in the quarter.

The owner's manager was wonderful. She met us on arrival, got us quickly settled, gave us some advice about the local area and left us to enjoy our anniversary weekend.

We really enjoyed our stay and will recommend it to our friends and family.

ROCK AND ROLL MARATHON

  • 5 of 5

My wife was running in the Rock and Roll Marathon this year so i wanted to book a fun filled place for us to stay that would be quiet but still fun. WE LOVED THIS CONDO. It is decorated so perfect. When you come in there are two of the most beautiful chandeliers with this incredibly huge mirror and two giant windows that lead you right out to a grand balcony where you can watch the world walk by below. The bedroom is a loft style so you can look right down on to the living room and kitchen. This is perfect for a couple but not for any one else. The kitchen is fully upgraded and everything in the condo was just really nice. Perfectly decorated and centrally located for everything that we wanted to do. All in all this was a great condo and we really want to come back especially when it gets cold in Boston! Thank you so much!!

What a perfect place for my boyfriend and I to watch Krewe Du Vieux!!! The condo was simply special. The perfect size with a wonderful balcony! The location was so easy to walk to everything in the French quarter and the lady who checked us in even helped to make us reservations at some great restaurant around the city. Very comfortably and very homey! Thanks for a great stay and we can't wait to come Back!!

Dirty

  • 1 of 5

So many things wrong with this property, but the worst part is the dirty stained sheets and comforters. I'm not even sure they were washed but they need to be thrown away. The toilet doesn't seal and the chain falls off after every use. The handle in the bathroom fell off locking me in. The list goes on.

Owner's Response: Thank you very much for your candid review of you recent stay at our condo. Your feedback is extremely valuable to us and we are truly sorry that your recent stay did not meet your expectations. I assure you that we strive to provide our guest with top level amenities and conveniences and our housekeeping staff does come right before each tenant checks in and right after they leave. Please remeber this is a home and not a Hotel, but I have reviewed your feedback in detail with our team to ensure that the property is meticulously maintained, as we expect, for each and everyone one of our guests. I really wish that you would have contacted me at the beginning of your stay so that I could remedy any concerns that you had immediately; instead of waiting untill after you left and not responding to the phone calls, emails and text messages that I did send after I heard that you did not enjoy your stay at this beautiful home. I leave my number with every guest as I am the property manager and I live very close and can come and take care of anything as I told you. I hope that by waiving the cleaning fee for your visit, it has helped ease the bad taste in your mouth for our wonderful condo. We have never had an issue like this in the past. As a matter of fact, we have only received glowing 5 Stars Reviews and we have even had many return guests year after year to our home. I sincerely apologize that your time spent in the condo was not a pleasant one. I only hope that I can convince you to change your mind about another visit to our property. Please reach out to me directly if there is anything else that I can do to turn your experience around. I hope you all still enjoyed the wonderful weather last week and the amazing time at Jazzfest. Mini Mardi Gras in the Heart of the Quarter!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful visit to the BH of the French Quarter! Our liaison Ashley made sure we had all the details to easily access the unit in advance of our visit.

The unit itself was in a great location and quiet. Had all the amenities we needed in this unit and enjoyed the balcony very much!

One important point to note is that the bedroom is only accessible via a spiral staircase. There is a full bathroom upstairs but if you have issues with stairs, this may be a concern.

Would i stay here again? Yes indeed.
