We are a family of four, originally from England and Spain, and moved to Canada and Collingwood in 2010. We are an active family and love all outdoor activities including biking, hiking, skating, swimming and beaches but most especially skiing and snowboarding. So Collingwood/Blue Mountains is the perfect venue for us with no end of activities to participate in. We love to travel and explore new places, and Collingwood offers it all! Over the past 20 years, Intrawest Resorts has spent millions of dollars creating a perfect getaway for a weekend, a week or a month! Less than 2 hours from Toronto, this Mountain Springs condo is the perfect jumping off point for enjoying a wide range of activities including skiing, snowboarding, hiking, biking, swimming, zip-lining, Eco-adventures, golfing, tennis or just kicking back at the beautiful beaches of Georgian Bay. We live in the Town of Collingwood 15 minutes from the Blue Mountain Resort so are close by if needed and know the surrounding area very well.

Why Richard & Maggie Law chose Blue Mountains
We explored most of Canada before deciding where we chose to live and the Collingwood/Blue Mountains area is the perfect combination for us - On Georgian bay of Lake Huron, next to the largest and best ski resort in Ontario and within 2 hours of Toronto. We bought this property in June 2014 from the previous owner Helen who has done an excellent job in furnishing, decorating and equipping this property for short term rental (see previous reviews) and have added some improvements ourselves. We bought the property as an investment solely for short term rental and will not be using ourselves as we live 15 minutes away in Collingwood - the primary purpose is to provide the ultimate accommodation for you, the guest. We would like to share with you all the activities in the surrounding area that we enjoy ourselves. It is not a weekend home for us with the guest as a secondary supplemental income to help pay for our cottage - we are here for you and will be on hand to answer questions immediately and make the booking process as smooth as possible.
What makes this Condo unique
Our Condo is a quiet, private and tranquil oasis within the Blue Mountain Resort area, away from the late night noise of the village but within walking distance or a free shuttle ride away. It is situated directly on the Mountain, overlooking the slopes with forest views from the side and rear patio area which you can enjoy whilst dining outside and listening to the relaxing sounds of the mountain stream running by. The loft bedroom balcony also offers a quiet space to enjoy a book or a glass of wine with distant views of the bay. A two-level, two bathroom layout ensures that everyone has adequate space and comfort and an extensively equipped kitchen allows you to stay and cook at home if you wish. The condo is attractively and comfortably furnished with everything you could wish for including wifi high speed internet, outgoing telephone calls, Netflix, dvd library and free parking. All this in the perfect location that is ski-in/ski-out with the added on site facilities of a heated swimming pool (seasonal), hot tub, tennis courts, bbq and laundry facilities - what more could you ask for!

Best unit at North Creek resort
My family checked in at the start of our week and were unexpectedly surprised by the size of the condo. It was much bigger than the pictures show.
By this time we had already been in touch with the owners to discuss a few details, and they were always very quick to respond to our queries.
The check in process was very simple. The rooms for my wife and I, and our two little ones were well furnished, and far enough apart that we wouldn’t wake them while they were sleeping. There was a bonus bathroom and balcony making the master bedroom a suite! Tip: this balcony has a view of Georgian Bay and Collingwood, and gives the best view of the stars.
We walked around the resort quite a few times (the pool is on the other side of the property), and can safely say that 913 is the best unit. There are no parking lot “views”, only nature. There is a babbling brook off the main balcony that really set the mood every meal. The other units can’t boast any of this.
A few drawbacks:
the cleaning service wasn’t actually finished at 3 (check-in time). It didn’t bother us since we showed up at 3:30 as they were leaving, but it would’ve been an issue had we been right on time
There are no BBQs allowed on the large balconies, which was a small drawback from the week away in the resort. There’s not much the owners can do here: we saw no other BBQs while we were there, so this is a resort rule, I presume. Apparently camp stoves are allowed, but only on the shared space near the parking lots.
Thank you Jessica for your great review! We think it is the best unit at the resort - but we might be biased - so it is nice to hear confirmation from others!! I was not aware the cleaners did not complete on time and apologise for that - we normally clean the unit ourselves and always complete on time but occasionally we do have to use cleaning companies. And you are correct about the BBQ's - unfortunately they are not allowed on the decks under the condo corporation by-laws. Once again thanks for the review and we look forward to seeing you again. The unit is exactly as shown on pictures and has a nice view on the forest and sloop.
We took our son, wife and our 2 little grandchildren(4, 2 1/2) for three nights to celebrate the new year and to let our little girls experience skiing. Unfortunately the condition wasn't that good so we stayed in the apartment most of the time and we had a great time.
The girls and we enjoyed Maggie and Richard's place. It's very cozy and spacious there was even a little Christmas tree.

The location is perfect, 5 minutes by car the Village.
Richard is great guy who prompt answered our questions.The property’s description is accurate. He also provided a little book inside the house with a lot of tips. Perfect condo for visiting the area.
Very effective layout providing comfort and privacy for our adult daughter upstairs and my wife and I downstairs. Comfy living room with inviting fireplace and efficient kitchen. Perfectly clean and equipped for our stay. Many thanks to the owners for sharing their Blue Mountain treasure.

Lovely location and great place to stay
Very impressed. Clean and tidy on arrival with everything you would need for day to day holiday living. Nice and quiet but beautiful location. Not too far from main resort and walkable if you fancy a drink. Would be the perfect place to stay in skiing season too.
