We enjoyed our stay at this property! The location was perfect. It was close enough to to the beach and boardwalk to walk, and far enough for peace and quiet. We had our extended family all there to celebrate my in-laws 50 the wedding anniversary! Plenty of space, beds, and bathrooms! The outside showers are great!
My only complaint was that the air conditioning couldn't keep up. We did call Jeremy and he had someone come out the next day. Also, there was a storm that knocked out the TV. The TV never got fixed, and someone did come for the AC, it needed to be charged.
Things happen, but one of the perks of this place was the DISH TV. My father in law is 77 and likes to watch TV when it's too hot to stay outside. Also, I felt the rate was fair for the location and accommodations, but if I'm paying $4000/week, it would be nice if the AC is checked before I get there.
Other than that, we enjoyed this house very much. We spent time outside grilling and enjoying the covered area under the deck. We had coffee every morning on the roof top. It was a wonderful vacation.
This property is great if all you are looking for is the very basics "no frills". It is close to beach (reasonable walk) but you really can't see or hear it; it provides enough bathrooms for a large group and outdoor showers are great. Lots of parking on property for guests. Major issue is if you have very hot days during your stay AC does not keep up with the heat. Also watch out for poison ivy growing around back of house!
We had a great time for our week at the beach. The only issues were the washer being broken and not replaced till Wednesday of the week, only 2 blankets for the 10 beds ( we knew to bring linens, but didn't expect to need blankets as well), and there was a brick holding up one end of one of the beds that we constantly hit our feet on. Despite all this we were able to have a nice time , very nice to be so close to the beach .
The house absolutely met our needs. Plenty of space for a multi-family visit and terrific access to the beach and plenty of parking for our vehicles.
The A/C and appliances all worked great and the house was well equipped for meal prep and relaxation.
We felt the price was appropriate - a bit cheaper than more modern houses, but a very nice stay all-around.
117 4th avenue in Bethany is wonderfully accommodating for a large gathering of adults and kids. The common area has plenty of space for dining and relaxing.
Minor issues besides leaky disposal and condition under the sink (rusting cans, crud, wet wooden bottom):
-WiFi didn't extend to rooms in the back
-Dryer lint trap is VERY difficult to manipulate -- it's distorted from attempts to remove and replace it
-The clothes line poles appear to be ready to topple over and the growth under the lines make them almost inaccessible
We had a wonderful time sharing the house with our sister's families. We were happy to take our dog. There was a dog park nearby. The neighborhood was very friendly. The house location was perfect. We also went to Ocean City and Rohobith. It was bigger than we thought and had room for 6 cars. It needs some minor wear and tear repairs, mostly the deck railing. However, everything was in working order.
