This lovely home evocative of France, has 3 bedrooms, each with a king-sized, queen sized and twin beds. The owner (founder of Simple Slips) has provided every amenity for her guests. The location is ideal for exploring Main St. shops and Museums or the surrounding wineries and park areas nearby.
Texan Debbie Phillips has traveled extensively to France where she acquired antiques for her B & B. These trips also inspired her business, Simple Slips, for which she has been featured in Victoria, Country Living, and Home Companion magazines, as well as a segment on HGTV.
Debbie Phillips purchased this house in 2006
This unique property had an existing Bed & Breakfast and travel in France inspired the owner to recreate her experiences there in the Texas Hill Country.
The enclosed, private patio and courtyard is ideal for relaxing in a serene and quiet setting.
Enjoyed our family reunion so much.
What a perfect place for us all to get together.
Relaxed atmosphere and homey feel.
We loved La Maison! It was so comfortable and charming. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone!
This property is so charming, clean and in an excellent, quiet location. The interior is darling, and the owner clearly has a lot of pride in ensuring guests have a wonderful place to stay! Highly recommend.
It was the perfect place for my cousins to have a small reunion. We sat around the table nightly--it helped make the stay personal and homey. Having the parking on the side of the home was helpful. The outdoor patio looked so inviting, and it was a shame we couldn't use it since it rained everyday. The location was great--not too far or too close to Main Street. Having personal contact with the home's owner was a special touch. Thanks for the info on the app, also!! I sure hope we can return!!
I would stay here again! Debbie was very nice and her home was a perfect weekend getaway for our 6 family members for the Fredericksburg Wine Festival. Thank you!
La Maison is a beautiful and comfortable home. Lovely interior and had everything that we needed for our weekend in Fredericksburg. We love the patio outback! It was a great place to relax and have a glass of wine. Beautiful home we will definitely be back.
I stayed here with 3 of my girlfriends and truly had an exceptional experience. The house was decorated so wonderfully and the back patio was the icing on the cake. We enjoyed our coffee out there as well as some yummy glasses of wine in the evening. The kitchen was perfect for cooking and the living area was also great with lots of windows. We walked to town from the house in August and didn't have any issues. I highly recommend this place for a couples weekend or just some gals getting together to enjoy some Texas wine.
The climate is optimal for grapes and peaches. There are many local wineries giving tours and samples. There are numerous antique shops, and restaurants on Main St. Fredericksburg has the newly dedicated Museum of the Pacific, and the Pioneer Museum. For the adventuresome, there is the newest TX State Park, Enchanted Rock. A huge, pink granite dome, rises 425 feet above ground, 1,825 feet above sea level, and is one of the largest batholiths in the United States. There is a flat trail at its base, as well as the possibility of climbing the rock to the summit. Birdwatching is exceptional as the TX Hill Country is on the migratory path.
