About the property

3 Spacious Bedrooms, Gourmet Kitchen, Oceanviews And Sounds,

Fully Air conditioned (New May 2017!) spacious beach house with views from almost every room --3 bedroom/3 bath home stylishly furnished with your beach vacation needs in mind. Walk into the large granite kitchen with its huge center island and high end stainless appliances. See the surf from the sink, beyond the english country garden. The kitchen is open to the dining area with comfortable seating for 8. For an afternoon rest, or a shady moment with a book you will enjoy the office/library, including a desk and a printer, but also a comfortable queen sleeper sofa. The house has gleaming hardwood floors that are most noticeable in the huge and skylit living room. All the furniture is new. Chairs are light and easy to move from room to room for extra seating where ever you might want to be. We made a point to buy the most comfortable and cozy furniture possible -- including cushioned dining room chairs! Just in case, there is another queen sleep sofa in the living room, and plenty of sheets and blankets, in case you want to enjoy a rainy day watching the the 42 inch flat screen TV with stereo/DVD. There is an area for a quick snack or card game overlooking the back yard. With two doors, the living room opens to the outside deck and garden. Featuring a deck that runs the entire length of the house and has an outside table for dining al fresco that easily seats 8. There is a retractable awning that offers shade and comfort on warmer days and the fenced in yard has seasonal flowers and fruit trees. The bedrooms are on the second floor, including 3 large bedrooms, the master king is ensuite with a private full bath and deck with incredible views of Good Harbor Beach. The other two guest rooms share a connecting full bathroom. One room features a queen size bed, with lot's of space to set up a baby crib or if you are my cousin, you will secretly open P90x on your computer with plenty of room to exercise. The second room has twin bunk beds and another twin bed that curiously opens to be a king size, easily fitting 3 kids or a couple and 2 kids.

Once you have settled in, take a 7 minute stroll down the street and you will find yourself on Good Harbor beach.

The home is perfect for staying entertained, enjoying some time off and exploring the beaches of Gloucester! There is the potential to check in on Fridays in July.

We prefer if you pay by check or credit card directly to HomeAway or VRBO...PLEASE DO NOT wire money.

Bon Appetit by the Beach!

About Kimberly and Bart

Originally from the area (Burlington, Ipswich, and Danvers) I remember many perfect beach days at Good Harbor Beach wtih friends and family. After living in California going to USC, the beach lifestyle became a part of my soul. Bart and I relocated to Gloucester August 2013, from Paris, France. Bart, my husband, is from Antwerp, Belgium. We met in Paris while he was working at Disney and I worked for Microsoft Education Group. Now we purchased another property near Stage Fort Park and started a Sightseeing Tour business in Gloucester! If its your first or 50th year summering on Cape Ann -- you will discover something new and interesting on one of our tours -- check it out at

We plan on spending many years here... and hope that we will have guests throughout the summer who can enjoy this place as much as we do!

Kimberly and Bart purchased this house in 2012

Why Kimberly and Bart chose Gloucester

It was always my dream to have a place here we could invite our friends for the weekend or for a few weeks in the summer! The south facing sunshine provides great light all year long, and the rooms are so spacious it almost feels like you are outside. We love the garden and the fenced in yard, and our neighbors are now like family!

This Summer, 2017, we had the house and shed freshly painted a new blue and in May installed Mitsubishi AC units in every room for the best and most efficient climate control. Last year we installed Solar panels. And every year we make sure our garden is full of flowers, herbs and vegetables! It's truly a dream home away from home!

The in-law apartment, located in the front corner of the house. We sometimes stay while we have guests, but if we do, everyone has there space, private entrances and privacy.

What makes this house unique

The view is magical! From the top balcony, I can see easily if the parking lot at Good Harbor is full -- meaning best to either get a blanket down early, or wait till low tide. I loved the idea of seeing the ocean while doing dishes and laundry --as well as hearing the laughter of the kids on the beach when the wind blows from the east.

The house is a perfect size, with many closets -- it is a dream to walk into closets that are as big as our Parisian kitchen! The kitchen, has EVERY appliance and gadget you can imagine...with granite counters, a center island and a window to the living room, cooking and entertaining across rooms comes natural.

Beautiful home with every amenity!

  • 5 of 5

We entered Bon Appetit through the kitchen, which is beautifully designed and stocked with every item one could desire - and more. It was a joy to cook there. The dining area has a large table that is great for meals and board games. We ate many meals and snacks on the downstairs porch, which also has generous seating and looks out on a lovely, private garden. There's lots of lawn space for throwing the football and other games. Owners kindly provide beach towels, chairs, beach cart and umbrellas. Short walk to the beach was a definite plus! The house is very user-friendly and obviously well-loved. Pamphlets and other information about the area was provided - a nice addition. We definitely enjoyed our stay here. Note: stairs to upper level can be challenging if someone has mobility problems such as neuropathy.

Summer in Gloucester

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 5 (3 teenagers) stayed in Kimberly's lovely house the week of July 4th. We are from the south and it was our first time in this part of the country. How lucky we were that Kimberly was not only a local, but had recently opened a tour company and was a wealth of knowledge about the area. The house was well appointed and had absolutely everything we needed for the kitchen, bath, and beach. My teens enjoyed the games and puzzles left there. There is a lovely patio off the living room but the real treat is the deck off the upstairs master with a beautiful view of the ocean! We were able to walk to the beach pretty easily and the adorable town and waterfront were minutes away. Kimberly was very available and helpful if we needed answers or advice. I highly recommend this for anyone's stay in beautiful Cape Ann!

Third time renting it,and still love it!

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful home, and Kimberly is great. Love the upgrade of A/C throughout the house. Lovely fruit basket and bottle of chilled Proseco waiting for us to start our vacation. Been coming to Gloucester/ Good Harbor for many years, but renting this home has definitely become an annual tradition!

Can't wait to stay again next year!

  • 5 of 5

We first rented this beautiful home a couple years ago, and fell in love with it. It has a great layout, is so well equipped, has very comfortable beds, a beautiful view, and the kitchen is great. Tons of extra blankets, towels, and such. Brand new Tommy Bahama beach chairs, nice grill, two decks. Five minute walk to Good Harbor Beach, which is the BEST beach!

After our first visit, we had noted in our review that air conditioners would be a great addition, and sure enough, all three upstairs bedrooms have new units now that work great.

We rented the home for seven nights, beginning with a ladies get together the first three nights, then transitioning to family week the remaining four, as some ladies left, and the kids came up. No matter the mix, the house accommodated everyone very well.

The owners, Kimberly and Bart, go out of their way to make you feel welcome. They even left us some wine and taffy as a welcome gift. Couldn't be nicer to deal with. Will definitely return!

Excellent stay!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at Kimberly and Bart's wonderful home. The house was spacious, immaculate and only a 5 minute walk to the beach. Kimberly was easy to work with and the amenities (large well-equipped kitchen, games, TV, baby grand) all made for a great family reunion!

There are some great stuff around the area -- beaches, golf, whale watching, antiquing, shopping, hiking, and visit lighthouses and museums. Gloucester was a worldwide artist community as well as the oldest fishing village in the US (have you seen the show on National Geographic, Wicked Tuna, that's here!) - and there is lot's of history to explore, after enjoying the best beaches in the area. St. Peter's Fiesta kicks off the summer, and the Schrooner Festival, starts the wonderful fall season including a Blues Festival, Cyclorama, Cape Ann Plein Air plus many waterfront festivals, concerts and downtown block parties.
