I am a wedding & event planner from Spring Lake. I love to travel and do so for a living and am thrilled to share my home and wonderful community while I am away.
Brooke purchased this house in 2005
It's my home. Though has been put into the details, furnishings and decor to make your experience as comfortable as possible. It's clean and the fully stocked kitchen leaves you needing nothing but food, friends and a few good laughs.
You're close enough to Grand Haven to enjoy all the fun, but just far enough away to relax.
We enjoyed our stay at this fabulous house. Walk to the bike/walking trail and beaches near by. Nice linens & kitchen supplies. Sunny living room, pool table in play room & huge yard with table & chairs. Close to everything!
House worked great for our fishing trip out of the harbor. Minutes from everything in Grand Haven and a short drive to Munising. Only complaint is no A/C when the Temps were in the 90s that weekend.
Wonderful house! Highly recommend!!
When looking for a place to call home for a weekend of cycling, we did not want to stay within the insanity of a summer weekend in Grand Haven. Brooke's place was perfectly situated between Fruitport and Grand Haven. We were concerned over having no central air, but that didn't cause us any issues. There were lots of Windows and fans and the cross breeze at night was comfortable. The kitchen was fully appointed and we even used the small outdoor grill for salmon dinner which we ate on the breezeway porch. Only wish that there was seating on the front porch to enjoy coffee in the morning! And a bonus was how close we were to the Front Porch ice cream parlor - The best real homemade ice cream around. Just down the street from the little sandwich shop, too! Would recommend for anyone looking to find a home away from home!
Brooke did a great job o f communicating with any questions that we had prior to booking, during and followed up after to make sure we had a good stay. The cottage was exactly as described and worked out great for us. It is in a very convenient location to walk to Spring Lake or take a short drive to go into Grand Haven.
From start to finish, Brooke was a pleasure to work with. Her home is extremely well appointed with lots of character and charm. Would recommend staying here without hesitation!
Grand Haven is an active resort, boating, fishing and port community. The city has over 100 miles of bike trails, a state beach, boardwalk, two lighthouses, a pier, wharf, and a large charter fishing fleet. Grand Haven is a destination point for tourists to take advantage of the pristine Lake Michigan beaches, State campgrounds, restaurants, bars, and attractions.
Grand Haven State Park was nationally recognized for having one of the top five beaches in the United States, by Good Morning America. The state park also includes a campground on Lake Michigan, near the pier and lighthouses. In addition, the city features a ski park (Mulligan's Hollow Ski Bowl) and a skate park. The waterfront locations bring tourists from all over the state and region for boating, sailing, jet skiing, and wind surfing.
