Very clean, well maintained property within walking distance of downtown Saugatuck

  • 4 of 5

We had a very enjoyable stay. It was nice to have coffee, both K-cups and coffee for the larger coffee maker available on checkin. We shopped for groceries at a small store a few miles from the house just of Blue Star Hwy.

We were getting away from a very busy work life, so we slowed down and actually cooked a few meals. There were sufficient pans, dishes, etc. It was nice to see a former renter left non-stick cooking spray as it came in handy when I cooked eggs for breakfast on several days. One evening I grilled steaks on the gas grill. Again, the grill was well maintained.

We had bad weather one night during our stay. It was GREAT to have our SUV safely parked in the garage. Access to the garage door opener made accessing the unit and parking the car very nice.

One afternoon we took the 20-30 min drive to Holland beach and stayed and watched the sunset over Lake Michigan. Beautiful! We also got some nice photos of the lighthouse.

One cannot visit Saugatuck without buying some Kilwin's fudge, candy, or ice cream (or all three).

There is a nice deli off Blue Star Hwy in Douglas. I think it is called the Farmers Market Deli or something close to that. The food was excellent.

We also took a trip on the Star of Saugatuck. For $20 per adult it was a nice trip up the river and into Lake Michigan.

The only recommendation we had for improvement was to place an inexpensive laundry basket in the unit so the renters don't have to pile their dirty laundry in a pile somewhere between doing loads of laundry.

Bottom line is this is a very nice unit at a reasonable cost.

This is a lovely little condo! It is super clean, which always goes a long way for me. There were plenty of cooking supplies too. The beds were comfortable, perfect for our weekend getaway! Highly recommend if you need a place that will sleep a lot of guests. Extremely close to downtown saugatuck too! A+!

Beautiful condo

  • 5 of 5

Large, spacious 2 story condo exactly as described in Home Away website. Close enough to walk downtown Saugatuck and a short drive to Holland, Michigan. The tulip festival in Holland was simply outstanding. Only suggestion would be to consider changing the twin beds to downstairs since there or no bathroom downstairs and it is easier for young people to climb stairs at night. Overall, everything was just marvelous.

The condo was everything we hoped it would be! It was really clean, spacious, near the main road and even had a garage for our car.
