This most welcoming three bedroom/4.5 bath home sets high above the 6th green of the Birches Course overlooking a pond with an ever flowing fountain in the summer. The home includes A/C, WiFi, an expansive deck with seating for six, amazing views of the course, BBQ, two car attached garage, Foosball table & game table in lower level.

The attractive interior includes a very inviting great room with comfortable seating, wood burning fireplace, 50 inch TV w/ sound-bar and wireless sub-woofer and BluRay DVD player, dining area seating 6-7, well equipped kitchen with granite counter tops & seating for three at the bar area. There are beautiful hardwood floors in the great room and dining area.

The floor to ceiling windows allow for the sunshine to sparkle throughout the home.

The main level master suite with king bed includes its own seating area which overlooks the golf course. Within the seating area is a desk and comfy chairs for reading or watching TV. The suite includes a full bath with separate shower and tub and walk-in closet.

Upstairs are two additional bedroom suites (queen and two twins) each with full baths and TV. Both bedrooms have great views of the fairway. The lower level offers another “get away” area with Foosball table, game table, a fourth full bath and relaxed seating area.

As you approach the home from the winding driveway, you see additionally parking for two cars off to the side.

For winter activity, the home is located approximately 12 minutes from Boyne Highlands and Nub’s Nob via the “back way”---very clear directions are provided. Access for guests to cross-country ski or snowshoe is on the golf course at the back of the house.

As guests of Birchwood, you are welcome to use the various year-round amenities which include dining facilities & fitness center. During the summer, there are 27 holes of outstanding golf, ten tennis courts and heated pool with kiddy area. During the winter, there are miles of cross country skiing and snowshoeing.

What makes this house unique

This home is most inviting from the moment you enter the front door and see the spectacular views of the golf course and rolling terrain through the floor to ceiling windows. Whether it is summer or winter, the view takes your breath away.

Our experience was very satisfactory. No issues came up that required our need for assistance. You might want to check the keys to the front door. The one worked fine, but the one left for us on the dining room table was tricky. We had to go around to the garage entry door one day to get in, which we did, no problem. The clicker was fine as well.

Everything. The website pictures of this home can't do it justice. It was wonderful. The furnishings were very nice and comfortable. The men particularly enjoyed the motorized recliners. The view was spectacular with the fountain in the pond just outside. It was idyllic. A perfect place to unwind and relax. The Birchwood amenities are always a plus with the dining and access to the courses there. Golfed five days, thanks to our wonderful weather that week. No lack of TVs which was great. Sports were on the big screen downstairs (nice for the ladies watching our favorites in the evenings upstairs). Quick trip into town using the back roads. Absolutely loved going to the Lyric theater for a movie. What a plus for Harbor Springs! The dining in town just keeps getting better. Fabulous week.

Loved the location and view. Comfortable home. We left a list of repairs and suggested improvements the largest item was the need for a new mattress in the Master Bedroom. Others included plumbing repairs.

As far as the mattress goes we will make the suggestion to the homeowner, however, this is a new mattress and we have never been told that it is less than comfortable. Lovely spot for skiiers who like quiet evenings

Our family of 5 visited just after the Christmas holidays and this was a perfect fit for us. The location was easy to find (although the house numbers could use a little better spotlighting after dark). It was cozy, clean, very spacious, and offered picturesque views of the golf course. Beds were very comfortable.

The reasons for only 4 stars?

*TV's were extremely difficult to figure out. (This may be a hidden blessing. Since there are TV's in every bedroom.) Even with written directions left for us to decipher, it was quite difficult.

*Showers took a LONG time to warm up and when they did, still weren't all that warm.

*On the second morning we were there, a construction crew showed up unannounced at @6AM. Yikes. Lucky I was up giving one of my kiddos some medicine or we would be quite frightened! They came back at 6:30 once I got dressed and closed the doors of the remaining sleeping kids. They still woke up - construction guys do not know "library voices." Good news is they are going to work on the basement. . .

*The basement. . . although one of the cool looking items on the website, was creepy enough that my kiddos didn't want to be left alone down there.

This includes new drywall to cover the previous bricks walls, new drywall ceiling, a new large egress window, fuss ball room, updated furnishings and new paint. The area looks great and very inviting! Thank you Joy Thank you for your most valuable feedback. It is greatly appreciated. We are pleased you enjoyed your visit to this lovely home. As you comment the home is a "perfect fit" for a family and the surroundings are picturesque. Beds are so important to a good nights sleep and we are glad you found them comfortable. As for the showers taking time to warm up; unfortunately, they may have been set on "vacation" which limited the amount of hot water. We would have been more than happy to addressed this issue had we been made aware. We are here to assistance any time night or day. However, you feedback is important so that this can be monitored carefully. Regarding the constructive feedback regarding the lower level, you will be pleased to know the homeowners are planning on modifying this area to include a fourth bedroom, a large egress window, updating the furnishings and opening up of wall areas. We will definitely speak with the construction company as they should have been aware guests were present and work was not to be underway. Again, thank you for your important feedback. As guests of Birchwood, you will have access to all amenities, including 27 spectacular holes of golf with professional staff, 10 tennis courts each with a professionally staffed tennis and golf pro shops, heated outdoor pool and kiddy pool, dining room and casual bar, fitness center, hiking and biking trails in the summer (snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in the winter). Golf rates are $31.50 including cart for 9 holes and $59.00 for 18 including cart for guest establishing a 'house account' and staying one week or more.

Miles of walking trails are accessible within Birchwood Farms Golf and Country Club for those who enjoy nature and all of it's beauty.

There are various festivals and activities thorough out the summer and fall within Harbor Springs, Petoskey and Charlevoix.

CANCELLATION: There is a $200.00 cancellation fee for any cancellation notification received more than 45 days prior to occupancy. There are no refunds if the reservation is cancelled less than 45 days prior to the arrival date.
DAMAGE AND CLEANING ISSUES: Any damage or cleaning issues noticed upon arrival should be reported to the management immediately. If damage or cleaning issues are not reported within 3 hours of your arrival, your credit card may be charged for the cost of the repair. All general maintenance issues should also be reported so the unit can be kept in good repair. You must contact the management to address any cleaning issues within 3 hours of your arrival. You will not incur any additional charges if the following items are adhered to:
No damage is done to the unit or its content including the linens.
No items are missing upon the inventory check.
All debris, garbage and discards are placed in proper containers.
All soiled dishes are placed in the dishwasher.
There was no exceeding the maximum occupancy of the unit.
There was no smoking or evidence of smoking in a designated non-smoking unit.
Unit is left in neat condition.
If you experience any problems whatsoever with the vacation property during your stay, please contact us and we will do our best to rectify the matter as soon as it is practically possible. Should a problem remain unresolved, you are required to notify us in writing within 7 days of your return. No action can be taken or liability accepted for any complaints received after this period. We aim to resolve complaints within a two month period from receipt, the details of which will be kept confidential to only the parties involved.
NO SMOKING: Smoking is not allowed in any of our units. Smoking is not allowed outside by any open window/door, on patio, deck or grounds. SEVERE WEATHER: We do not refund rents or deposits lost due to cancelled or shortened stays.
