About Gina Pumarejo

We are a married couple with four children, living in the United States. We hope you enjoy your stay in our beloved condo!! Please let us know if we can do anything to make your stay SECOND TO NONE!

Gina Pumarejo purchased this condo in 2010

Why Gina Pumarejo chose Playa del Carmen

We love Playa del Carmen for it's obvious beauty and proximity to the Mayan Coral Reef. Tropical beaches, ancient ruins, abundant marine and wildlife abound. The Great Mayan Reef is the largest coral reef in the Western Hemisphere. Mexicans refer to the Riviera as 'Riviera Maya' while foreigners call it the 'Mayan Riviera' or 'Maya Riviera'. There is SO much to do here!! Great place to get away from it all. Visit the Mayan ruins of Tulum, just 45 minutes away. Unique 'eco-archeological' theme parks, Xcaret & Xel-Ha. Xplor is an adventure park with 13 zip-lines, amphibious vehicles, raft rides under stalactites and more. The fabulous restaurants on 5th Avenue. The people-watching from a street side table can delight you for hours! Walk almost everywhere. From one end of 5th Ave to the other....

Updated Review

I booked this rental for 1 week, from Sunday to Sunday. Although the condo did not have any recent reviews, I based my decision off of the previous reviews and decided to book the condo. Once payment was made, I was in contact with Gina who directed me to a local contact that would meet us at the condo, Jorge.

We arrived in Playa on Sunday around 2230 hours and met Jorge inside the building, which has a security guard at night. Once inside the condo, Jorge gave us the keys and proxy card and 3 laminated sheets of paper with instructions on how it check out and the rules of the condo and the property. The meeting was short and to the point. From there we quickly settled after a day of traveling and decided to venture out at night to get something to eat.

At this point it was almost 2300 on a Sunday and we found several places open to eat. The condo is in a super convenient location and literally 100 yards from the quite part of 5th Ave. The location is ideal and prefect to walk along 5th Ave and into Playa or the beach. After finding some food we returned for the night and went to sleep.

Once we woke up the next day and under daylight conditions, I was disappointed in having paid $1800 for a week at the condo. The photos of the site must have been from when it was shown as a model as half of the decor was missing, giving it an empty feeling. While it was nice to have a 3rd bathroom, the toilet broke the 1st night causing you to stick your hand inside the reservoir to pull the chain to get it to flush. I informed Jorge and he said he would fix it, but he never showed up at all during the week. Huge inconvenience!

Overall the condo was in need of a detailed cleaning.....dust was everywhere, the counters were dirty, water spots all over the fridge and trash can, almost every door handle for the bedrooms was loose, the floors were dirty and looked like they had been quickly mopped, we even had a stain on the comforter (possibly blood) when we went to make it the next morning (GROSS!!!).

After reviewing the calendar, you can tell that the condo has been booked pretty solid so you would expect basic items in the kitchen to be available, oil, sugar, salt, pepper, cleaning supplies, laundry soap. But no, everything was gone. (Sorry for the people staying after us, but all the stuff we bought at Mega for the week, we gave to a local woman we met).

For the price, I would not recommend this place unless you went to be close to 5th.

Owner's Response: I am so sorry to hear you were disappointed. The condo has had nothing but excellent reviews and I personally decorated the condo myself, no model for sale. All accessories are still in the condo, I am not sure what you could possibly mean by half of the decor is gone? Rooms look the same as the photos, as does the living area. Everyone is different and it isn't always possible to make everyone 100% - when renting a condo. You are going to an empty home, not a hotel. Some people expect there to be food and other items, and that is why we clearly state that on the documentation available to all guests prior to check in. Linens, towels, appliances, cooking utensils etc are provided. I have tried to list everything in the description of the condo. Consumables like salt, pepper, shampoo etc are not something we stock. Some people don't like other peoples "left overs" so if we were to provide that, then we may get a complaint about that. It's hard to get it right with everyone, so experience has taught me to keep it clean and leave no personal things behind. Jorge is excellent at customer service and I have gotten nothing but kind comments about him and his wife. I will take your comments regarding cleanliness and repairs very seriously as I pride me self in providing a top-notch place that meets my personal expectations; I am VERY PICKY where I stay. Thank you for your comments as it will ensure that we make sure everything is up to par so that the next guests can have an excellent experience. Blessings!

The condo was beautiful and in excellent condition. Close enough to walk to the beach and to the busy 5th avenue, but far enough away to have a quiet stay.

As a former Vacation Property Rental Agent I must say this is one of the nicest, best furnished units we have ever seen! We have rented dozens of places from VRBO. The amenities are great, down to blenders, power juicers, a potato peeler, good pots and pans and all the dishes and food preparation items need to complete any meal with ease. The washer and dryer are American and actually dry clothes!!! The bedding is comfy and the internet lightning fast. Sky cable and the two Bravia TV provide a means to fill in those times you are in the condo. Access to the beach is steps away and it is so nice even Chairs and beach towels are provided. 5th Ave is a few steps away yet there is no noise here, resulting in a great nights sleep. The Local Property manager is wonderful to deal with as are the owners. We give the unit an A and thanks delivering what was written. We are having a great stay!

We were there for New Years 2010 and the apartment was just beautiful!!... The photo's are very accurate. The owner, Gina, was very accesible with our needs and really made sure everything was perfect for our stay. The condo is safe, clean and located in the nicest area of Playa, close to lots of excellent restaurants and the Canibal Royal, the best beach club in Playa del Carmen. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone!... We really enjoyed our stay in Haab.

Love, Love, Love the place. The two master bedrooms were ideal for our family. The property was beautiful. We ran into a few issues, but the staff was very responsive. I location was great. Just a few blocks from the beach and from the town.

HAAB 202 is a first class condo in Playa's trendiest location (Zazil-ha). Just two short blocks from the white sandy beach and 1 short block from the famous 5th Avenue, where you'll find endless dining options, bars, shopping, etc. Other very good restaurants surround HAAB, including 'La Cueva del Chango' which is an eco-friendly restaurant, a sight to see - excellent for breakfast, featuring lunch and dinner too.

Other Activities: shopping, wildlife viewing, spa
