The best place on the Big Island. We have been coming every year for the last 5 years. This magnificent town home/condo/house is ideal. Norm and Kara provide all you need and Charlie is close by if needed. I could go on and on, but bottom line, it is the best!! See other comments that say it all.
My husband and I really enjoyed this unit during our 1-week stay in May 2015. We'd stayed in another condo in Kailua-Kona area on our first trip (2012), and this was so much better . . . . The condo is clean, comfortable, and just as pictured. The owner was very responsive to inquiries prior to rental and promptly refunded our cleaning deposit afterwards. His on-island contact (Charlie) was also very helpful with recommendations on activities, restaurants, etc.
Na Hale is a wonderful, up scale, quiet complex with lovely ocean views, a large swimming pool and hot tub, and a small gym. This unit has a very comfortable master bedroom with a lanai that offers a good view of the ocean. The kitchen is stocked with many spices, dry goods, and other items so you don't need to buy a lot of "extras" if you're planning to cook a meal at "home". There's a KTA market about a block away in a nearby shopping center. Hint: if you stay over a weekend, visit the farmer's market in that shopping center for fresh fruit, veggies, and perhaps even some baked goods for breakfast. The condo also includes ample beach towels, a computer with guest access, a box of paperbacks (in case you want to read something by the pool), various island tour guides and photo books, and even several Hawaiian music CDs.
This was my first VRBO rental experience, so I was a bit apprehensive at first. But Norm was great about walking me through the logistics, and the condo was great. If you're looking to stay in Keauhou, this is a great choice.
The location, the views, the accommodations - all the best. We've stayed in several other units in Na Hale and others in the area but this townhome has been our home away from home the last 2 years and signed up for a third. If anything needs a bit of fixing in the unit, Charlie P. is on it immediately. The property is professionally maintained and always tidy. Away from the noise on Ali'i Drive yet convenient to Keauhou Bay, shopping center and snorkeling. Mahalo to Norm and Kara for sharing.
We have stayed in a number of places in Kona. This complex is very convenient to shopping, beaches, restaurants, and yet quiet and beautifully maintained. The facilities are first class, pool is wonderful. The unit has a nice BBQ that was used often. The appointments inside the unit are comfortable and attractive.
Can't say enough about Norm and Kara and their townhome. Each year I ask the family do we want to change locations and each year they look at me like "What". Best place on the island. Best location on the island. Simply the best and we will continue to rent their townhome as long as I can continue to walk and breath. Clean and well maintained. When you get there you are minded of a Zac Brown Band song - TOES - not a care in the world! Thank you Norm and Kara for your hospitality and your sharing.
We just returned from our third stay at this unit in as many years. We now feel like we have our own home in Hawaii, but these payments are a lot easier to handle. Norm is a very responsive host. He answered our inquiry promptly and returned our security deposit very quickly.
