PLEASE CALL ME AT 719-635-5759 if you have any questions about our property.

Take a trip back in time when you stay in our beautifully restored 1890's Victorian era home with lovely mountain views. It has been completely restored with all the modern-day amenities but retains all of the old-world charm to include high ceilings, original woodwork, crown molding, ornate hand-carved fireplace mantle, stained glass and bay windows, french doors and beautiful art-deco light fixtures.

We have tastefully furnished the house and included everything that anyone could need to feel right at home. The beautiful new kitchen is fully equipped and stocked with spices, basic food items, and condiments. Gorgeous, original hard-wood floors throughout the house make for a very clean environment. The property includes a detached, oversized two-car garage and a wonderful fully-fenced yard and patio area with a BBQ grill ready for your use.

This is a unique home in the core of the city sitting on 2/3's of an acre, allowing for lots of privacy. None of our living space is in the basement....all rooms are bright and cheerful. We have central air conditioning (not all homes do in the Springs), and we also have dual hot-water tanks to provide ample hot water for large groups.

We are centrally located within two miles of our vibrant downtown area. We are one mile north of Colorado College, and only four blocks north of Penrose Hospital. A fabulous renovated 70-year-old former grade school (Lincoln Center) is just around the corner with a coffee shop, bakery, craft brewery and cafes. For the little ones, there is a park with playground equipment just two blocks down the street. For hikers, runners and bicyclists, the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail is just 6 blocks west of our house.

From our home, you will find it very easy to reach all of the most popular attractions, to include: Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, The North Pole, Cave of the Winds, Manitou Springs, Old Colorado City, Olympic Training Center, Air Force Academy, Seven Falls, Manitou Cliff Dwellings, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, and more - all within about 15 minutes of the house. The Royal Gorge, Cripple Creek and Denver are within one hour.

For your peace of mind, we have a digital lock on the front door and the code is changed prior to all new arrivals. Other doors are re-keyed between visits.

We call our home The 3 R's. REST after a day of sight seeing by curling up with a good book or watching some of the best HD TV programming available (DirecTV's Choice with over 150 channels). RELAX on the front porch or the back patio with family and friends; and REJUVENATE your body and spirits, as stress becomes a distant memory. All beds have top-of-the line Sealy Posturepedic firm/plush mattresses for everyone's comfort level. No attention to detail has been missed. We also have free wifi (highspeed) provided by Comcast Cable Please call us or drop us an email so we can begin helping you plan a memorable visit. We will do everything possible to make your stay comfortable and relaxing.

About Sheryl Courter

My husband and I moved from Seattle/Wichita in 2004, because the city offered everything we both wanted as we started our new lives together. We love Colorado Springs and are very excited about sharing our city and its surrounding area. There is so much to do and see here. A simple drive in the mountains never fails to rejuvenate our spirits. We enjoy hiking and would love to share our favorite spots.

Sheryl Courter purchased this house in 2008

Why Sheryl Courter chose East Colorado Springs

We chose Colorado for it's natural beauty, great weather, and multitude of outdoor activities. From our home, you will be in the center of everything. Enjoy visiting our extraordinary attractions as well as hiking, bicycling, fishing, and exploring local history. You will also have quick and easy access to I-25, and you can be in Denver in no more than an hour.

What makes this house unique

Our home is located on the fringe of our city's most desirable Old North End neighborhood with its elaborate Victorian homes most of which were built between 1890 and 1901 with monies from the Cripple Creek gold strike. If you enjoy walking, you will love partaking in the many self-guided walking tours of the area. Visit our downtown also and enjoy your choice of outside cafes, many fine dining establishments, museums, parks, charming boutiques, nightclubs, the Penrose Library, the Fine Art Center, and the Pikes Peak Center.

Owner has thought of everything!

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed at this beautiful home during Parent's Weekend at the AF Academy. We needed a spacious place to relax and spend some quality family time with our cadet. The house has beautiful wood floors with a large dining area for family to gather, a large updated kitchen, beautiful yard and outdoor seating to enjoy the mountain views. The garage was a nice touch to park both rental cars. It is close to the freeway, downtown, and anywhere else in COS that you wish to visit. This Victorian home is truly a gem. The owner has thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable.

San Antonio

Good location, very spacious.

  • 4 of 5

Overall, all went well. Minor issues:

1. No restroom downstairs for others to use, besides going into a private room.

2. Only one room had a TV, had to flip to see who won.

Owner's Response: Thanks Patrick for taking the time to review our property. I'm glad you had only minor issues. Just to be clear for prospective guests (especially given the fact that the house is listed as having two TVs), there is one TV on the second floor, and one TV on the first floor in the entertainment room, both with over 150+ cable channels including HBO. Yes, the first-floor bathroom is attached to the downstairs bedroom as shown on my listing. But, just so there is no confusion again for prospective guests, there are two full-size bathrooms in the home. Thanks again. We enjoyed having you and hope you will keep us in mind for future visits.

Colorado Springs Vacation Home

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed at a lovely vacation home in Colorado Springs, CO. Equipped with everything you might need, including a high chair and a stroller, lawn chairs, games for indoor and outdoor play, and the house was very, very clean and comfortable. Used three of the four charming bedrooms, and the kitchen is a dream. Short drive to Garden of the Gods, downtown, and Pike's Peak. Highly recommended!
