Without a doubt the backyard is the central hub for all outside activity at Bella Vista. The patio terrace anchors the yard where decks, stone patios, and flat lawn create an outdoor oasis for entertaining and relaxation. The azure blue pool offers guests the perfect spot to cool off while enjoying beautiful mountain views. Tennis players will love the lighted court for day or nighttime matches. There is also a basketball hoop, Bocce Ball, Pickle Ball, Croquet and Horseshoes, something for everyone!
An outdoor Kitchen features a wood burning pizza oven and teak dining table with an oversize custom sun umbrella for plenty of shade on hot days. Sit comfortably in the low, wide chairs around the gas fire pit perched at the edge of the vast orchards. In the lower portion of the orchard, a recreation area has been carved out adding yet another location to fully enjoy the peaceful setting. For the active guests, there is a bocce ball court, horseshoe pit and flat lawn for croquet. The large farm table and second arbor covered outdoor kitchen create yet another great location for memorable entertaining. Enjoy morning coffee or a nightcap while watching hawks soar high above the orchard.
The spa under the shade of a large Magnolia has ocean views by day, and wonderful pendant lighting above to enhance the experience after dark. full size day bed nearby adds to the options for enjoying a lazy afternoon nap while 2 other seating areas on this deck provide more than enough places for all guests to have their own quiet space.
Inside the Main House, the Great Room, centrally located between two separate bedroom wings, is a large open space with sleek hardwood floors under soaring truss beam ceilings. Step up to the warm, inviting area where walls of windows and a wide comfortable window seat frame the foothill views. Snuggle into the large sectional sofa and enjoy the central features of this warm space - the fireplace with custom iron work and 65" flat screen TV.
The large open Kitchen will be a pleasure in which to create culinary magic with professional style appliances, colorful dishes, and a variety of tools and serving pieces. There is an abundance of counter space. The warm and sunny Dining area seats ten while an expansive breakfast bar seats six, all with added treat of ocean views!
Step outside the Great Room through sliding doors to the arbor covered terrace, where a large dining table that seats twelve overlooks the expansive lawn and mountain views. A tranquil fountain and landscape lighting enhance the ambiance.
The Formal Living Room focuses on the mountain views through a wall of windows. Seating centers around the semi-circular sofa and chaise lounge and a wall of fully stocked bookshelves offers an abundance of classic reads and best sellers for guest enjoyment. A high top table seats eight for game night or added casual dining with French doors to the arbor terrace.
Two wings offer a total of five bedroom options for guests. In the west wing is the Master Suite with king-size bed, full bathroom, and a peak at the ocean. Bedroom Suite #2 with queen-size bed also has a full Bathroom.
An adjacent exercise room offers an elliptical and wall mounted TV. Bedroom #3 with two twin beds faces the backyard through corner windows.
In the east wing a slight incline ramp leads up to both bedrooms. Bedroom #4 has a queen-size bed and an outside entrance for convenient yard access or to pop out to the tennis court. Bedroom Suite #5 faces the tennis court as well through corner windows and has a full bathroom making this virtually the third Master Suite in the home. All the Bedrooms are well appointed and comfortable.Bella Vista CasitaAcross the driveway from the main house and adjacent to the tennis courts is the Bella Vista Casita. With two Bedrooms, two Bathrooms, Kitchen and more, this is the ideal spot for those seeking a bit of privacy and continued luxury experience. The Guest House features two lovely Master Suites with two king-size beds and en suite Bathrooms. A wonderful Living Room with TV and fireplace is beautifully appointed. The Kitchen is well equipped for guests to prepare even the most elegant meal or simply enjoy a morning cup of coffee at the breakfast bar. A dining room table accomodates six guests. A spacious wide porch off the front deck adds to the relaxed feel of this special cottage, with ocean views and plenty of shade under the extended roofline overhead. There is even access to the gym that is in the converted garage that all guests of Bella Vista have access to. No amenity has been overlooked — the Casita feels like a private sanctuary.
With so much to do at Bella Vista, it will be difficult to leave, but make a point of visiting the pristine beaches and quaint ocean side town of Carpinteria, just a short drive away. Montecito is a 10 minute drive and Santa Barbara is 15 minutes away. The world class surfing destination, Rincon Point is a short drive as well.
This very special property has been designed for fun, activity, entertaining, and relaxation but it is the spectacular setting that sets the tone for a memorable vacation. Bella Vista, "beautiful views," lives up to its name and more!

Stays of less than 30 nights are subject to a 10% Lodging Tax + $2/night Tourism Tax.

$3,500 security deposit refundable within 14 days of checkout. Deposit is reduced to $875 with purchase of Damage Waiver.

We LOVED this property! Where to start...the layout was perfect for a multi-generational group with all of the fun recreational activities, gathering areas and the views were tremendous! A sweet bonus was the farm-to-table produce that we happily enjoyed. The inside & outside kitchens were very well appointed.
It was hard to leave!
The main house is well laid out to offer privacy in the bedrooms from the communal living space. The casita is beautiful and perfect for 2 couples. Kitchens in both houses were large and thoughtfully equipped and stocked with much more than the basics. The grounds are incredible. We picked tomatoes, strawberries, figs, and much more. We had fresh eggs daily from the chickens. The many seating areas outside was perfect for our group. We made great use of the wood burning pizza oven, pool, and tennis court. The pool house is a terrific addition with its beautiful bathroom with a large walk in shower, bar, huge tv, and shuffleboard. We had an incredible time staying here and would love to come back.
Bella Vista is the cream of the crop of vacation rentals. The kitchen was equipped with all of the essential supplies, plenty of games and sports equipment to keep everyone happy, and the pizza oven and pool continued to wow all of our guests. We had a number of people in our party that are gardening aficionados and they loved picking fresh fruit and vegetables from the garden. The owner of the property is very helpful and checked in on us to make sure our stay went well. Glad we chose this property for a special week with family and close friends. We LOVED Bella the cat who came by to check on us regularly.
Three families shared this property and had a spectacular time. Our eight boys, ranging in age from 4 to 14, had plenty to do and spent most of their waking hours outside (and off screens)!
The parents were able to relax, enjoying the 360 degree views of the Santa Barbara mountains and ocean, as well as hanging out with our kids in pool, playing tennis, harvesting veggies for dinner.
The property owner was gracious, making sure we had all we needed and even came by one night to help us with the pizza oven. We're planning to go back and can't say enough about this special place.
We rented Bella Vista for 4 nights for a family reunion of 3 generations. We had 12 people and one young child and it fit us perfectly. The layout, the views, the high quality of the place made for a very special stay. We especially enjoyed wandering the grounds and gardens, and seeking eggs from the hens. The guest house was exceptionally well done and very new - a good place for hiding to have smaller meetings or quiet chats. This is a beautiful, well furnished home that feels clean and fresh and beautiful. It is NOT "party central" with the associated wear and tear. Come for hanging with the people you gathered. You won't want to leave the place. We will be back.
We had a great family time(14 between 6 to 85 years old). The hole place is wonderful full of little details that made the experience great! All the commodities are well functioning and there's plenty of space to be as near or as separate (because of the big group we were) as you need.
Venture up the freeway to explore the quaint ocean-side town of Carpinteria. Linden Avenue is lined with fantastic boutiques and restaurants. At the end of the road is Carpinteria Beach, known for its pristine white sand and safe surf. This charming town is full of fun things to do, and the friendly locals can help you find even more hidden treasures!
