Great property in great location
This house is a mile and a half off of hwy 434, the main road through Angel Fire. The ski resort is just across the highway intersection, so it's in a perfect spot.
The bed coverings and towels are really nice quality, and there are plenty of extra blankets, pillows, towels, etc. The pictures provided are really accurate, so no surprises when we arrived. Comfortable furnishings and plenty of room for me and three young adult kids. The mud room and garage are perfect for stowing your ski gear, hiking boots, etc.
The kitchen is full of all kinds of pots and pans, etc, making it easy to cook your own meals. There isn't much to pick from in terms of restaurants in Angel Fire, so we ate at the house almost all the time. There is decent grocery store right at the highway intersection as well. A little pricey, but it's the only place in this tiny town, so that's to be expected.
The house is cozy and must have great insulation because there was never a chilly moment even when the night temps dropped. The gas fireplace really heats up the living room too.
We hiked the Greenbelt Trails that run through the "neighborhood." These are well marked, easy trails, with official trail heads just south of the visitor center next to the grocery store. You could pick up the trails within the neighborhood, but the maps online were too hard to decipher, so we parked at the visitor center and walked in from there. We felt safe from getting lost because you're really just winding through the houses, but lots of times you couldn't see any houses so you get the wilderness experience :) We saw LOTS of deer and coyote tracks and even some bear scat near the creek.
We would definitely stay here again, in winter or summer!
Perfect for this family of four with two young children. Quite, secluded, comfortable, space to roam!
This was our first trip to Angel Fire and this cabin was perfect for our family vacation! It was very cozy and had a great view. Everything we possibly needed was there for our convience and the location was close enough to local stores, but far enough away for us to enjoy the peace and quiet of the mountains. We can't wait to stay here again!

We are a family of four that decided to go up to the mountains for a quick weekend getaway. Absolutely glad we selected the Johnson’s home for our stay. Jessica was quick to respond to any questions we had and was a pleasure to work with.
This home had everything we could possibly think of. Just pack your clothes. You won’t need anything else.
What a wonderful feeling of home the Johnson’s have created. We will be returning this summer and won’t stay anywhere else. It’s perfect.
House was great
Great property! Everything was in good order, would definitely stay there again.
Very cozy cabin.
This cabin is a beautiful little setup. There is plenty of room but it’s not too big and has almost a “cozy cottage” atmosphere. We very much enjoyed our stay. My only complaint would be the dog hair my wife and I kept finding. It was mostly in the living room and upstairs bedroom areas. The comforter on the bed had a lot of dog hair in it that we tried to vacuum out. I’m guessing people have had their pet dogs in here. Neither me nor my wife allow pets in the house, so we were a little disgusted with finding all the dog hair. However, it was still a very enjoyable stay and we would definitely stay here again.
