Why JoDee Burton or Hughes Burton chose Fancy Gap
From Hughes and JoDee: 'Our love and enjoyment for the unique and welcoming atmosphere that the Blue Ridge parkway and its residents offer reminds us, daily, that this is truly a wonderful place to live. We have dedicated the largest amount of our time to finding the most ideal location and producing the most comfortable and pleasant home for the public to enjoy. Furthermore, we only live a short distance from the property and are happy to provide any guests with information regarding local attractions, activities, etc. We are always happy to provide guests with a list of recommendations that we deem 'personal favorites.' This cabin is a wonderful choice for those who wish to get out and experience the wonder of the Blue Ridge mountains, or for our guests who prefer to stay nestled by the fire place with a good book.'
What makes this Cabin unique
Enjoying the stocked fishing pond, the serenity, the koi pond, The fire pit, enjoying a glass of wine on the front porch overlooking the ponds and the quiet Blue Ridge Parkway, and most of all the mountain breezes. We are pet friendly, we understand how important those guys can be! Also, now we feature biker friendly parking in a community shed.

Scenic Mountain Retreat
This place was perfect for an anniversary vacation with our family. Awesome views, stocked pond with very easy fishing, hot tub, and decently located to get to anything you may want to do fairly quickly. The furniture setup was super condusive to hanging out on the porch with a drink in hand any time of day. The loft bedroom isn't great for very young children, but would be perfect for maybe 6+. If you're into cooking and not wanting to eat out every day, this kitchen is stocked better than most short term rentals, and we weren't hurting for a lack of tools. The in unit washer and dryer was an unexpected plus (you know, unless you read the instructions where they were very clearly described, of course). Would definitely stay again and recommend to any of our friends and family, the outdoorsy adventurous types and the ones who'd like to experience it from modern comfort just the same
Five o’clock somewhere
Cabin was very nice. But the ad says 3 bedrooms and there is one bedroom and a loft with a ladder access. Very hard for older people with bad knees. The living room area has a pull out couch bed and I guess that’s the 3rd bedroom🤷♀️.
We take our cabin rentals very seriously and this is our first time receiving a two star rating. I looked at the verbiage on our add concerning this stay. We have never advertised our cabin as a three bedroom. It’s advertised as a two bedroom and one bath, with a sofa sleeper for additional guests. If you would like to contact me concerning this matter, please do so. I am happy to reimburse you if you were told this is a three bedroom.
Rented both cabins for my family and it was an amazing trip. Cabins were very clean and well maintained. Owners were easy to communicate with.
Great Girls Getaway!
This is a great place to drop out and catch up with a friend(s)! We appreciated the modern, well-supplied kitchen as we brought much of our own food. We enjoyed nearby Mabry Mill, hiking Buffalo Mountain and the hot tub overlooking the tranquil grounds.
JoDee was very responsive and accommodating to our needs and questions.
Had a great time, very relaxing.
Nice cabin, very clean and peaceful. Caught some bass out of the pond, would like to do it all again someday.
We loved this place! It was quiet and peaceful. Enjoyed fishing in the pond. Can’t wait until the next time we visit.
This lovely romantic get-away with a hot tub, faces the Blue Ridge Parkway, and has a stocked mountain fishing pond in front. Lots of outdoor activities are in abundance along with the well-known Hillsville Flea Market and gun show within a few miles, lots of wineries, and cool mountain breezes. A new local restaurant and bar opened less than a mile from the cabins, with weekend live music. Our cabins are also biker friendly with a large community shed with concrete floors to park your bikes. The Blue Ridge Music Center is at mile post 212, Meadows of Dan and the famous Nancy's Candy Shoppe at approx mile post 180, and Chateau Morrisette Winery at milepost 174. Lots of beautiful sights and views are along the Blue Ridge Parkway.
