From Hughes and JoDee:
'Our love and enjoyment for the unique and welcoming atmosphere that the Blue Ridge parkway and its residents offer reminds us, daily, that this is truly a wonderful place to live. We have dedicated the largest amount of our time to finding the most ideal location and producing the most comfortable and pleasant home for the public to enjoy. Furthermore, we only live a short distance from the property and are happy to provide any guests with information regarding local attractions, activities, etc. We are always happy to provide guests with a list of recommendations that we deem 'personal favorites.' This cabin is a wonderful choice for those who wish to get out and experience the wonder of the Blue Ridge mountains, or for our guests who prefer to stay nestled by the fire place with a good book.'
Enjoying the stocked fishing pond, the serenity, the koi pond, The fire pit, enjoying a glass of wine on the front porch overlooking the ponds and the quiet Blue Ridge Parkway, and most of all the mountain breezes.
We are pet friendly, we understand how important those guys can be! Also, now we feature biker friendly parking in a community shed.
JoDee & Hughes were nice and inviting. We were a family of 5, and were all very comfortable. The new Koi pond was a lovely addition. The cabins were clean and fresh as soon as we unlocked the door and stepped in. The hot tub was nice. Even our children enjoyed it. We will definitely return! It was a peaceful playful, place away from home! Thanks JoDee and Hughes! :-)

Every small detail was there, very kid friendly!
This little cabin is charming! The kids and I loved our stay here! Everything was perfect, from the excitement at seeing the loft (my girls were THRILLED with climbing a ladder to their bed and with the wolf bedding), to relaxing and gazing at the stars in the hot tub at night. Loved the bird feeder and watching the birds get brave enough to eat while we grilled out. The cabin is in PERFECT view of the sunrise and it was SPECTACULAR the first morning we were there! The cabin was really dog friendly and my newfoundland was happy to be vacationing with us. Being 120 lbs, he is not always welcome in rentals. I loved that the porch was gated so the dogs wouldn't run off while we were outside. The cabin is right off the Blue Ridge Parkway and we loved that scenic drive to our two hiking spots that weekend (Buffalo Mountain Trail and Doughton State Park's trails). For other renters, we picked up groceries on the way. The grocery store wasn't really close. We will DEFINITELY be back! Hopefully for a longer visit! We were all disappointed to leave so soon!
Perfect for a quiet, relaxing getaway!
We had a nice stay at It's Five O' Clock Here. The Hot tub and fireplace added so much. Also,We went to Mt. Airy to a Hardware, Health food store that was great. They were having a Birthday Party for J.E.B. Stuart from the civil war. They had a Bluegrass band and it was great. Susan Kingsport
My boyfriend and I loved our stay at Jodee's place! We came to get out of the city for a couple of nights and enjoy the quiet of the countryside. We hiked Buffalo Mountain, which was 30 min away from the house, relaxed in the hot tub, and played with our dog in the big front yard. The house was clean and cozy!
This lovely romantic get-away with a hot tub, faces the Blue Ridge Parkway, and has a stocked mountain fishing pond in front. Lots of outdoor activities are in abundance along with the well-known Hillsville Flea Market and gun show within a few miles, lots of wineries, and cool mountain breezes. A new local restaurant and bar opened less than a mile from the cabins, with weekend live music. Our cabins are also biker friendly with a large community shed with concrete floors to park your bikes. The Blue Ridge Music Center is at mile post 212, Meadows of Dan and the famous Nancy's Candy Shoppe at approx mile post 180, and Chateau Morrisette Winery at milepost 174. Lots of beautiful sights and views are along the Blue Ridge Parkway.
