Great time

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful weekend. Spent late afternoon swinging on the porch and watching the different birds eat and play in the yard. It was a wonderful getaway. We love the cabin and the view from the front porch is great.

Tranquility

  • 4 of 5

Loved the hot tub. Loved the view, loved the house. The bed on the first floor was a little soft/awkward for what I'm used to, but other than that perfect.

Meeting the Three Cs

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at the "It's Five O'Clock Here" cabin. Upon our arrival, it was immediately apparent that the cabin met the three Cs - clean, comfortable, and convenient. The weather was a little sketchy for a couple of days, but when it wasn't raining, we took advantage of the grill next to the cabin and ate our meals at the table on the front porch. Inside, the kitchen and bedroom on the main floor, as well as the living room, were well-appointed with everything we needed for our stay. The cabin is also in view of the Blue Ridge Parkway, and we took advantage of that and cruised up to Mabry Mill for some sightseeing and hiking on numerous trails with our doggie. Not to be missed is the trail up Buffalo Mountain. If you get tired on the way up, then stop and take a break, but don't turn around! The view at the top is well worth it. We also headed over to the rail trail at New River State Park and the old shot tower, and found both to be a wonderful tribute to the railroading history of the region. The owners of the cabin stopped by a couple of times to take care of a few things on the property, and they were very friendly and genuinely concerned that we were enjoying our stay. As guests, that's all we can ask for. We'll be back again.
