From Hughes and JoDee:
'Our love and enjoyment for the unique and welcoming atmosphere that the Blue Ridge parkway and its residents offer reminds us, daily, that this is truly a wonderful place to live. We have dedicated the largest amount of our time to finding the most ideal location and producing the most comfortable and pleasant home for the public to enjoy. Furthermore, we only live a short distance from the property and are happy to provide any guests with information regarding local attractions, activities, etc. We are always happy to provide guests with a list of recommendations that we deem 'personal favorites.' This cabin is a wonderful choice for those who wish to get out and experience the wonder of the Blue Ridge mountains, or for our guests who prefer to stay nestled by the fire place with a good book.'
Enjoying the stocked fishing pond, the serenity, the koi pond, The fire pit, enjoying a glass of wine on the front porch overlooking the ponds and the quiet Blue Ridge Parkway, and most of all the mountain breezes.
We are pet friendly, we understand how important those guys can be! Also, now we feature biker friendly parking in a community shed.
This delightful cabin is just we needed to "get away from it all" for a few days. Unlike so many vacation rentals, this place was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We will definitely return...and that is our best recommendation. If R&R is what you are looking for, this is the place!
Stayed for three days
Good view of nature
Saw deer, rabbits and lots of birds
Really enjoyed it
This was our second stay at the cabins. We have now stayed at both cabins and highly recommend them. They are stocked with everything you need and the owners are very helpful and accommodating. Our little dog thoroughly enjoys the cabins and especially the front porches. So nice to be able to take her with us on vacation.
really enjoyed the stay at five o'clock here.. Just the right place to enjoy the mountains and relax and go at your own pace during this mid June stay...Will do it again...
Our stay was wonderful. The cabin and setting were exactly as advertised and the three night stay was just what the doctor ordered. I was amazed at how easy it was to get in, unpack and relax. My wife and I will return and let all our friends know of this beautiful cabin and setting. The Burtons are easy to contact and work with. In fact we had scheduled this get-away almost 3 years ago and had to postpone. They were very gracious and understood out plight.
We are also grateful that we could take our dog. This worked out well and even the golf course let him ride with us during our round!
Thanks for a wonderful three days
We loved the cabin! We planned this trip to go to Mt. Airy and this cabin was a real find. The place was really nice and we loved the area. Everything about the cabin was great. I did make a couple of suggestions for the suggestion box. A listing of close by grocery stores and restaurants and the distance from the cabin would have been really nice. Even copies of menu's to look at. The only other problem we had was trying to figure out the electric heater and the light switches. Never could figure out how to turn on the spots in the kitchen. Other than that, we would certainly stay there again. I have to say it was a pleasure to not have to worry about bringing condiments since this cabin is fully stocked that way! Thank you for a great time!
This lovely romantic get-away faces the Blue Ridge Parkway, and has a stocked mountain fishing pond in front. Lots of outdoor activities are in abundance along with the well-known Hillsville Flea Market and gun show within a few miles, lots of wineries, and cool mountain breezes. A new local restaurant and bar opened less than a mile from the cabins, with weekend live music. Our cabins are also biker friendly with a large community shed with concrete floors to park your bikes. The Blue Ridge Music Center is at mile post 212, Meadows of Dan and the famous Nancy's Candy Shoppe at approx mile post 180, and Chateau Morrisette Winery at milepost 174. Lots of beautiful sights and views are along the Blue Ridge Parkway.
