Why The Owner chose Blue Ridge Highlands

From Hughes and JoDee:

'Our love and enjoyment for the unique and welcoming atmosphere that the Blue Ridge parkway and its residents offer reminds us, daily, that this is truly a wonderful place to live. We have dedicated the largest amount of our time to finding the most ideal location and producing the most comfortable and pleasant home for the public to enjoy. Furthermore, we only live a short distance from the property and are happy to provide any guests with information regarding local attractions, activities, etc. We are always happy to provide guests with a list of recommendations that we deem 'personal favorites.' This cabin is a wonderful choice for those who wish to get out and experience the wonder of the Blue Ridge mountains, or for our guests who prefer to stay nestled by the fire place with a good book.'

What makes this cabin unique

Enjoying the stocked fishing pond, the serenity, the koi pond, The fire pit, enjoying a glass of wine on the front porch overlooking the ponds and the quiet Blue Ridge Parkway, and most of all the mountain breezes.

relaxing family fun

  • 5 of 5

This was our first stay and we loved it! The cabin was very inviting. My son and his wife just had a baby so we wanted to do something special as a family for a few days. This was perfect. The hot tub was wonderful and we all enjoyed the fishing and actually caught a couple large mouth bass.. Very pet friendly so we took our dog who also had a great time. Thank you jodee it was just what we needed. Planning to reserve both cabins next time with a longer stay and more family

Very clean, peaceful, great place to truly relax

  • 5 of 5

What could be better than seeing deer outside your bedroom window. Maybe spending your day fishing with your family, having a blast. Making delicious meals for your family using the nicely stocked kitchen and BBQ just steps from your door. Sitting on the swing on the deck soaking in the view of nature including the fishing pond and all the lovely bird houses and feeders, and we'll maintained landscaping. Beautiful fire pit with swing, benches and chairs and fully stocked with wood to enjoy the smores! The hot tub on the deck just outside the master bedroom was a bonus. Great little shops and restaurants nearby to discover. We will likely return!!!

A beautiful place to stay while exploring the area!

  • 5 of 5

We truly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It is well located for exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway's history and hikes, and allowed for exploration of the Grayson Highlands, Mt. Airy, NC, and charming Floyd, VA. The cabin is clean, well laid out, and had all we needed for a comfortable stay. We especially enjoyed the hot tub! Jodee was super helpful at responding to e-mails and making suggestions. This was a wonderful vacation experience!
