From Hughes and JoDee:
'Our love and enjoyment for the unique and welcoming atmosphere that the Blue Ridge parkway and its residents offer reminds us, daily, that this is truly a wonderful place to live. We have dedicated the largest amount of our time to finding the most ideal location and producing the most comfortable and pleasant home for the public to enjoy. Furthermore, we only live a short distance from the property and are happy to provide any guests with information regarding local attractions, activities, etc. We are always happy to provide guests with a list of recommendations that we deem 'personal favorites.' This cabin is a wonderful choice for those who wish to get out and experience the wonder of the Blue Ridge mountains, or for our guests who prefer to stay nestled by the fire place with a good book.'
Enjoying the stocked fishing pond, the serenity, the koi pond, The fire pit, enjoying a glass of wine on the front porch overlooking the ponds and the quiet Blue Ridge Parkway, and most of all the mountain breezes.

My boyfriend and I loved our stay at Jodee's place! We came to get out of the city for a couple of nights and enjoy the quiet of the countryside. We hiked Buffalo Mountain, which was 30 min away from the house, relaxed in the hot tub, and played with our dog in the big front yard. The house was clean and cozy!
This cabin was our HOME AWAY FROM HOME for a weekend, and it actually felt exactly like that. The cabin is the best that we have stayed in (even on this sight). The owners are friendly and just a call away. We had a very peaceful weekend. Thankfully, this cabin is pet friendly, as we did travel with our girl. If you are leery of staying at cabins...don't be here. These folks and their cabin(s) are the best. We have great memories from this weekend. On a scale of 1 -10, we give this cabin and owners a 13. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CABIN
My husband, myself, and our 2 1/2 year old border collie stayed at It's Five O'Clock Here before the Christmas holiday. We wanted a cozy place to stay, that welcomed our dog, and would fulfill our need for a peaceful and quiet getaway but also offered us plenty of room to enjoy the outdoors. The cabin is located a stone's throw from the Blue Ridge Parkway, meaning hiking and scenic views galore!
The cabin was decorated beautifully and was spacious enough for my husband to watch tv in front of the fire while I napped in the bedroom undisturbed. We were pleasantly surprised to find the pantry stocked with all the basic baking and cooking needs with extras as well (including ice cream, pancake mix, and syrup)! We planned out our stay with a day trip to visit friends in Mt. Airy, and hiking and home cooked meals the other days. The Burton's provided a very helpful BRP hiking guide book in the cabin that came in great use while we drove finding hidden views and hiking opportunities. We ended up with perfect weather and were able to enjoy the porch swing while our dog sunned out in the yard. The owners even put a personalized welcome note on the chalkboard sign for our arrival!
We booked this trip right after we found out we were expecting our first child, so it was exactly where we wanted to be before going into the holidays and excitement. I blame my pregnancy brain on forgetting some of my clothing in the wardrobe when we left, and Jodee was quick to respond to my text and mailed my (favorite hiding my bump) outfit back to me in NC. I highly recommend staying here and we hope to stay there again soon (with one more family member!)!
My husband, I and our fur baby Tucker had a wonderful time at this cabin. Peaceful, beautifully decorated with all the amenities you need. We took a short drive to Galax to visit antique shops. Enjoyed our day. Love the porch setting with the table and porch swing and view. We really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere, especially the gas logs. We plan on coming back in the spring and bringing our son, his wife and new baby. Can't wait! I have already recommended this cabin and It's Time to Unwine to family and friends. Jodee is very friendly and helpful. Thank You!
