Everything we were looking for when we closed up our island cabin mid-September and came down for a couple of weeks while we waited from the FL weather to be more welcoming. Cherie, the owner, was easy to work with and very accommodating. the picture of the Lake Michigan view is just what you get from the living room. The condo is about 1/2 way between Petoskey and Harbor Springs and their good restaurants - and a short bike ride to two of the best places in Northern MI if you're eating in - Toski Sands and Breadworks (the 3rd place you shouldn't miss is Bill's Farm Market which is a fairly short car ride away for the great, fresh produce). A big plus for us was that the condo is alsois just 15 minutes from our golf club, True North, too. The trail was great for my wife's walking and my biking (on a quality bike rented just 1/4 mile away). Biking into Petoskey was easy and and rewarding when you can make a refueling stop at the Roast & Toast for a morning coffee or mid-day lunch. In the condo we lacked for nothing - well appointed, well supplied and very neat and clean. For most it will be an escape to Northern MI from the city life, while for us it was the opposite - a retreat from the wilderness of island living further north into the pleasures of a cosmopolitan, but laid-back area. Cherie's condo is the best - and we're looking forward to another stay next Fall. We thoroughly enjoyed the Fall 'shoulder season', and we imagine that the summer and winter seasons are even more pleasant - while 'living well' in the middle of even more activities in this high-quality condo.
We contacted Cherie via this site, and she was great to work with and to help get us into her condo. It was more than what we could have hoped for......exceptionally clean, beautifully appointed and finished, everything one could hope for in the unit, and just a terrific location for anyone visiting the Petoskey area. If ever we plan another trip to the area, we will most certainly want to rent this unit again, and would recommend it highly to anyone else.
The condo was exceptional, clean, all amenities, wood burning fireplace, full kitchen plus dishes, comfy bed. We had a glass of wine while sitting out on the balcony enjoying the gorgeous view of Little Traverse Bay. We took a walk right out our condo door & down the small hill to the bicycle path. Walked also down to the beach & looked for Petoskey stones. The weather couldn't have been any better. Friday & Saturday was sunny & mid 60's. Sunday was 75 & sunny. The fall colors were pretty much at their peak. Came up for the first ever Home Tour on Saturday to this area. My husband & I saw 7 out of 9 homes with 2 on Walloon Lake, 1 on Lake Michigan in Bay Harbor & 1 on Crooked Lake in Alanson. Took in Crooked Tree Bread Bakery for a cookie & scone. Had pizza at Hoppies restaurant in Pellston airport while watching the football game. Met some friends from Charlevoix at the Noggin room in the Perry Hotel for Sunday dinner & enjoyed another football game with a free bowl of popcorn. On the way home stopped at Bill's Farm Market(3.5 miles east of Petoskey downtown) on East Mitchell Road. Bought apples, apple cider, jam & garlic. What a great farm stand that had all kinds of fruit & vegetables, tons of pumpkins & the prettiest rolling hill view of the fall colored countryside. Just remember to call ahead because most places are closed on Sunday including Bill's Farm Market & our favorite pub Mitchell Street. Cherie was great to work with & had all kinds of area brochures with tons of info if you were new to the area. The condo was easy to get into & out of even though the entrance was on busy US-31. We would definitely like to come back again. Thanks for sharing your gorgeous condo with us.
My husband and I stayed at the condo with our two children. The location of the condo was perfect! We enjoyed downtown Petoskey, played putt putt golf, and spent some time at the water. We loved the hiking / biking trail behind the condos. We even did a day trip to Mackinac Island. The condo was stocked with everything we needed during our stay. It was nice to have a washer and dryer to use during the week. Cherie was great to work with and she was prompt in responding to emails.
The condo was located near many things we wanted to do. The bike/walking trail was right outside the door. The views of the bay were beautiful. The pool area was also nice.
The condo was well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay.
The only negative was the water. It had a very distinctive odor. We used bottle water for drinking and even brushing our teeth. Showers were quick because the smell was a bit much.
When we conrtacted the owner about it, she said she was aware of it and was looking in to ways to solve this problem.
Beautiful location right on the bay, close to harbor springs, and easy to make a day trip to Traverse City. We had lots of fun. The condo itself has great accommodations.
