Doug was helpful in showing us home, was able to have lovely time with friends and family for a wedding of our son, at Westbrook Elks lodge. The house was well stocked, everything worked easily, rooms were quiet, comfortable and private. The fourth bathroom is a half bath downstairs. Outside porch was delightful, with deer and fox viewed at dusk in the distance. Private setting was perfect for Sunday post wedding brunch and easy to serve with 2 ovens to bake in. Perfect weekend! Loved it!
Great house, roomy, clean, well equipped. Listing description was accurate, and
the owner was very helpful and friendly. I would not only recommend this house, but would like to stay there again. We attended a wedding at Rocky Neck State Park, so the location could not have been better. We also went to a restaurant in Mystic recommended by the owner, great, and went to Foxwoods Casino. The property is centrally located right off 95 and near
stores and restaurants.
We rented the property for a 15 year college reunion. We were 4 couples with 7 small children between us. There was plenty of space for everyone. The house was clean and beautiful. The kitchen was well-stocked for every occasion. Everyone had a wonderful time and kept remarking on how fantastic the house was. Thanks for a wonderful weekend!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Doug and Charlene's lovely home this past weekend. We had reserved it for ourselves and other family members who were gathering for our son's graduation weekend at Connecticut College. The home's location off the highway was super convenient and yet we felt that the hustle and bustle of the highway was far, far away. Very peaceful setting on beautiful landscaped grounds with large lawn and fountain. Lovely, private backyard patio. The house was well equipped and stocked, and we appreciated the little touches such as balloons and fresh flowers.
We prepared a number of meals in the large, modern kitchen with ease. It made for a truly "home away from home" experience for us. The bedrooms and many sitting areas in the house were spacious, comfortable and welcoming. Everything was spic and span! It proved a perfect spot to gather for a family event. Thank you!
Had a weekend away with a group of girlfriends and the house was just perfect. Great outdoor space, plenty of room around the kitchen island (where we actually spent most of our time as we ate and drank), plenty of bedrooms and space for extra air mattresses!
Doug was very helpful with the reservations, walk-through, and checkout process.
This house was wonderful and exactly what we needed for the bridal party for a wedding at Rocky Neck state park. We stayed there the night before with the bride and had a great girls night and got a great night's rest with all of the wonderful bedrooms. In the morning, we were able to have both a hairstylist and makeup artist come to the house to get everyone ready. Both professionals remarked that this was one of the best locations they had seen for this type of scenario, there was so much space and natural light available to both of them. I can't imagine a better place to get ready for a wedding in the area or really any event or vacation, I would recommend this house to anyone thinking of renting it!
