Central Oregon Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

Accommodation: VRBO has added new 9% service fee. Email or call owner.HOME, 3 BEDROOM, 2 BATHS (SLEEPS 6) I will make shorter bookings if there is space in between reservations.

Recently remodeled our home sits on a quiet cul-de-sac location with a very private view of the meadow, no car traffic and very safe for families. Our 960 square foot home accommodates 6 people and has 3 bedrooms. The main floor has 2 bedrooms. Bedroom one which has a queen bed and Bedroom two has two new twin beds. The main floor bathroom has a tub/shower combination, with new sinks and counters and a washer and dryer unit. The 2nd floor, has a master suite with a king bed, designer bedding, vented skylight, new flat screen TV, full private bathroom with shower and new counters and sink. It is a loft bedroom and has one small wall open to the downstairs. Main floor has vaulted ceilings with an open floor plan between kitchen/dining room which is great for family conversation and new laminate wood flooring. Enjoy a fire in the large stone fireplace. There are 2 flat screen TV's, 2 DVD player's with a selection of movies, cable, free Wi-Fi, books, high chair, portable crib, games, stereo, forced air heating, new clothes washer and dryer, and upscale furnishings. Recently purchased 4 adult size bikes for rent.. (Due to weather and snow, bikes available for spring thaw and summer only, not winter). The kitchen has all new appliances with all amenities a chef would need to put together a wonderful meal. All serving dishes, pots and pans, cutlery, spices, and many extra touches. Enjoy the warm evenings on a large deck facing the open meadow and majestic Ponderosa pines behind the cabin. There is a large table with umbrella to seat 6, lounge chairs with another umbrella, and a gas barbecue.Ridge cabin 25 offers a peaceful nature filled experience to enjoy a book on the deck while listening to the wind in the pines. Please note: Starting sometime in October (depending on rain and snow) the deck furniture is placed in storage due to snow fall. If you are not a cook there are many fine dining options including the beautiful Black Butte Lodge with stunning views or the upstairs Aspen Lounge with happy hour specials; a new Espresso shop, poolside bar and restaurant, gift shop at the newly remodeled Lakeside Pool, Robert's Pub overlooking the Big Meadow Golf course as well as pizza to go.

Ridge Cabin 25 is within a small walk to Aspen Lake; about 300 yards to South Meadow pool and tennis courts and a short bike ride to Glaze Meadow Recreation Center. Less than a 5 minute drive to either golf course.

This is my second Ridge Cabin I have owned and would take many walks through the ranch. When I reached the meadow I would notice Ridge Cabin 25 and how private and peaceful it's location was compared to the other Ridge Cabins. When it came up for sale I did not hesitate to purchase this wonderful home. It truly is the best Ridge Cabin in the Ranch and love to share it with my guests. My goal is to have families return again and again, and take joy with those that return to my home. The best compliment is to have repeat guests.

About The Owner

Active family of 5 who enjoy traveling together to new places.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2011

Why The Owner chose Central Oregon

We love the mountains and the outdoor activities the Ranch and the surrounding area have to offer. Easy drive from our home near Portland Oregon.

What makes this cabin unique

Extremely clean cabin with full kitchen. Has an unhindered view out the back windows, with ample safe space for children to play, loads of activities in the neighborhood without leaving the resort.

Guestbook comments from the owner

"We felt at immediately at home and welcome from the minute we walked in the door of this charming house. The furniture and accessories are in lovely taste, perfect for the Black Butte setting. It was in pristine condition, and lacked nothing in terms of appliances, accessories, bedding, kitchen and bathroom necessities. To our surprise, there was a "welcome basket" of goodies and a bottle of wine to enjoy during our stay. Janetta, the owner, was a pleasure to work with in setting up our arrangements. We will rent this home again. It is a true "find"!

Peaceful Family Getaway

  • 5 of 5

This home was a great place for a smaller family. Beds were comfortable and the living room space was very cozy. The owner provided everything we needed from fun family games, to a basket of toys to take to the pool, to adult bikes to ride the bike trails. We particularly appreciated the wonderful children's storybook to read at night. That was a gem for our son. The location of the home provided a very peaceful atmosphere. Waking in the morning and seeing deer roaming just beyond our deck was such a treat. South Meadows pool is located close and provides a much quieter atmosphere compared to all the much more crowded pools. Its also a very short bike ride to the meadows bike path to the lodge where God's breathtaking creation is captured so magificently. The owner has taken much care into making her home such a special place for others. We highly recommend staying at this home. We intend to plan a return visit.

Cozy cabin in a perfect wooded glen.

  • 4 of 5

We love this place. It's a wonderful getaway into the woods. Black Butte is located in one of the most gorgeous forests in the state and the bike/walking trails are fantastic, they wind among the cabins and forest in the most appealing way. This cabin is small, but can fit 6 people cozily. The master is in an open loft so if you like to sleep late, the voices below might not be so welcome. All the furniture is comfortable and the deck is outfitted so you can enjoy the outdoors. The owner is just wonderful and will go out of her way to handle any issues or give advice. The location of the cabin is right in the middle of the resort so everything is relatively nearby. The only reason I deduct a star is because there are too many attempts to provide everything you could possibly need. I would appreciate fewer things and more space. A little pruning would give this darling place top ratings.

Anniversary Getaway.

  • 5 of 5

In 1976 we stayed at a Black Butte Ridge Cabin for our honeymoon. Over the years (especially 5th year increments) we have returned and stayed in other Ridge Cabins for anniversaries. Since this was our 40th we decided to make it a second honeymoon. Of all of the Black Butte accommodations in which we have stayed, this "cabin" was by far the nicest. The recent remodeling and refurbishing gives it a very comfortable, homelike feel unlike the more rustic previous experiences. The secluded view of the surrounding forest from the deck gives one a sense of serene solitude. The owner was very accommodating and had the house well organized including the most detailed guest information book we have ever encountered. We highly recommend it.

Everything was as described

  • 5 of 5

We had a nice few days at Black Butte Ranch between Christmas and New Years. This was the first time I had been there overall the experience was good. We had to chain up over the mountain from Portland and there was snow on the ground in Black Butte, so we didn't get to experience all the cool things about Black Butte, but overall good.

As for the house, it is basically in between the Rec Center and the Lodge which was nice. Even with snow, neither one took more than 5 minutes to get to. We couldn't walk around much but that was due to the weather but my wife did go on two runs straight from the house as there were two "bike" paths within walking distance of the house.

Janetta was very responsive and great with regards to the rental and the house was very well labeled. We would stay here again.

Great vacation cabin, will book here again

  • 5 of 5

Three of us stayed 8 days in this cozy cabin and loved it. Beds were comfortable, kitchen is good size with most anything we wanted/needed (including roasting pan, cookie sheets, electric griddle and more), and comfy furniture with beautiful views of snowy meadow from huge windows in family/living room. Bonus was a really nice washer and dryer. Location was great, loved being relatively near Glaze Meadow Rec Center.
